On the other side of the room, you'll find 魔导师瓦伦萨斯 who'll give you the story of Fillmaff.

"What's the story with Old Fillmaff over there?"

Who? Fillmaff? That old relic? He's been an archivist here at Dalaran for decades. I remember him back from my student days, Always puttering around the stacks. He could find anything.

Then came the Third War, when Arthas sacked the city. Fillmaff went missing, along with countless others - just another of the numberless dead. Nobody thought anything of it.

"Go on."

Years passed, and we'd relocated the entire city to Icecrown for the Northrend campaign.

One day - out of the blue - Old Fillmaff walks into the Violet Tower. Just strolls in! Doesn't say a word. He starts filing books and organizing the folios, like nothing had happened. He's been back at it ever since.

*Varenthas leans close to you and whispers*

I'm not sure he knows he's dead.

While at the Forge of the Guardian, I had swapped between all my specs. Then I happened to notice this NPC had a golden exclamation over his head. I went and talked to him, but he had no quest to give.

As it turns out, you need to be in the Frost specialization for him to offer his quest, which is 黑檀之寒的回忆.

I love this npc just for the fact he helps support not all undead are evil.
