The quest chain comprising 招募雷克萨, 求生技能 and 活过一夜, which grants the follower 雷克萨 is available at Level 103, to unlock it, complete the short quest chain starting at 伊墨瑞尔·影卫 at Trueshot Lodge who gives you 搭把手.

雷克萨 is at Cliff's Edge, which is 200 yards NW of The Witchwood flight point at 36.73 35.39. For those without coordinates, that's on the first E of Edge on the map.

If you choose Rexxar to accompany you as a bodyguard, he is present all the time (with Misha) fighting with you. He mounts when you mount and stealths when you stealth.

(Couldn't find this info on the individual bodyguard's pages.
