I purchased two of these contracts to guard the graveyards yesterday. Can confirm they spawn Elite Level 90 guards called Dominance Elite with 1.3 mil HP apiece. (HP was nerfed in a hotfix on Dec. 5th to match Alliance Guard's HP.)

When used at the graveyard near Dominance Point, it spawned only two guards, while using a contract at the graveyard near Lion's Landing, I can confirm for a fact that three guards spawned.

I do not believe the average player can solo these guards. I saw three Alliance trying to after I placed some @ the Dom Point tower and they were wiped out - quickly - with little damage done to the guards. After the HP nerf, I doubt players will still be able to take a guarded base solo. Perhaps a Hunter or Death Knight could solo a guard one-on-one, but the contracts always spawn at least two guards.

Also, these guards only last 20 minutes each. It would serve to reason that they are on a timer due to their toughness. It would be next-to-pointless for Blizz to allow you to purchase set-it-and-forget-it guards that could easily be wiped out by a solo player. You can see how much time is remaining by clicking on them and mousing over the buff. I believe the idea is for several players to just be rolling the guard purchases throughout the day, to make it more of a team war-effort, and ensuring guards are around to hold a base while you capture another.

More importantly, can these guards be soloed? Are they worth purchasing to keep the GY for any amount of time? or are they just there for looks and dies instantly?
