I just got this and used it outside of Orgrimmar. It insta-cast summoned a Felhunter! I've heard it'll do fireballs, frostbolts, and the like. 3 min CD - totally worth it, though.

I have this and it has never cast Felhunter, Cold of Cone, or Shadow Bolt. It seems to cast Fireball VERY often, as well as Chain Lightning, but that's about it. The cool down is not 30 min, it's 3 min.

This item has had it's timer changed due to the high demand of it. (Mostly for those who don't understand it's cultural reference but want it for actual use.)

It only has 6 abilities.
Frostbolt
Fireball
Chain lightning
Polymorph:Sheep
Whirlwind
Felhunter

Here's a little info about these...
Frostbolt - 200-250 dmg, slows target movment
Fireball - 200-250 dmg
Chainlightning - 175-225 dmg, atk 3 targets (unknown if it looses dmg per target)
Polymorph:Sheep - will either poly you or your enemy. Kinda funny.. however I havn't noticed the health regen as if a mage would poly you, so in PvP, if you get poly'd pray!
Whirlwind - Its exactly like the new druid spell from what i can tell. Simply disables the target for a few seconds though I don't know how long.
Felhunter - Neat to see, but has no abilities so does minimal dmg similar to a mechanical yeti but lasts only about 30 sec.

Overall, if your leveling and don't have any good grinding trinkets this is very useful for added burst dmg. The dmg rated above is taking into account that your class abilities don't affect it (unknown if they do, but it is possible), and that you and the target are close to level. Now I have noticed that you can cast it and nothing happens, so either the target resisted the polymorph/whirlwind (since there is no casting animation) or it simple has a chance to cast blanks.

(P.S. as for the comment of CoC... he may have confused it with whirlwind since only a few mobs in the game were even able to cast it.)

This thing rocks. I'm a LvL 58 Warrior and it's pretty fun to shoot Fireballs and lightning. Dmg is between 150-250 has a 3minute cool down. I would recomend that everyone gets one of these. They are a ton of fun. Oh yeah.....You can sheep to..:)

Alright, i've used this item for a quite a long time now, and i though it was about time for updating my comment.

The spells are as following,

Fireball, hits for 200
Frostbolt, hits for 150
Chainlightning, hits for 175
Polymorph, will either sheep you or an enemy for about 6-12 seconds. Note both you and/or the mob it sheeps, will recieve additional health regen (Just like the mage one)
Cyclone-lookalike spell, will stun your target for about 10 seconds, please note damage removes the effect
Felhunter, deals about 1000 damage if it doesn't manaburn.
Felhunter's manaburn hits for about 300-303 - And manaburns 600 mana.

Havn't tried any other yet, maybe there just aint more in this sweet small bag :)

Got this on a mage, kinda funny item when you're oom or just want to have some fun.

I once got lay on hands from it. Was in WSG against a hunter, i use the six demon bag and my combat log says "NAME OF HUNTER's Lay on Hands heals you for 2200ish". Funny thing is that my max hp was like 1500 at the time, so it actually healed for his hp^^

And yeah, that must've been from the six demon bag as long as hunter's cant LoH enemy players.

Oh and yeah, the stun isn't like the druid thing, like snazzy says it gets removed by damage.

I used this trinket from lvl 46 thru 50.

As it was mentioned above it procs really funny.

However its actual usefulness is not so great. For my pala it was approximately equivalent to 1 additional hit.

Felhunter is a bit more useful than just a single hit, but it occurs randomly, and it just compensates for the absolutely useless sheep polymorph.

In other words, typically you get just 1 more hit per 3 min which doesnt mean much (at least for PvE).

On the other hand you can barely find a really useful trinket at this level:).

This is one hell of a trinket for spell dmg classes. Its benefits 100% from ure spell dmg as posted above. And thats insane, it can easily do a bolt for 2k on critt with nice spell dmg.

Scales with Paladins Avenging Wrath + Spelldmg, with around 1000 Spelldmg + AW + spelldmgtrinket i got a 2k Chain Lightning Crit to work.

Just adding some facts not stated before ;D

-Polymorph lasts 20 secs when its cast on you, i don't know about when its cast on somebody else.
-At level 70, felhound is level 55
-Enveloping Winds is the name of the "cyclone like ability"
lasts 10 secs and breaks on damage.

Well! I didn't realize that this cute little bag summoned anything. I got it yesterday and used it for the first time in Warsong Gulch...much to my surprise (and I'm sure everyone else's) I suddenly had a Felhunter by my side.

Truly an awesome trinket...maybe next battleground I won't be surprised.

too bad this trinket was nerfed, i used it in arenas in combination with arcane power. 1k chainlightning or 1.8k crit fireballs are a nice boost for the burst damage a fire/arc mage needs :P

more of a novelty to have fun with than something that will help you in a clutch....like alot of the engineering trinkets when you've out-leveled them.

it seems that this trinket casts random spell... when i tryed it it casted chain lightning, then cone of cold and whrillwind (lol?)...
But its very good trinket, by my opinion one of best rare trinkets in-game.

Using this on my rogue while leveling (assassination spec), i've found that the polymorph effect turns off your auto attack, while the enveloping winds proc does not, thus it is usually quickly broken.

Also, the macro I use for this:
/cast Cold Blood
/cast Ambush
/Use Six Demon Bag

I guess since the Echoes of Doom patch, When you summon a felhound at 70, the Felhound is 70 as well, instead of the old 55

I'm assuming the FH is now equal to your lvl >.>

(at 70 the felhound has about 4k hp and does about 100-150 damage melee, havent seen his manaburn yet)

One of the few trinkets that even if you have to pay more than you think you should (on my server 150G is expected) its still worth every penny. I can't tell you how much fun and how helpful this is on a PvP server. I throw it into the PvE grind for entertainment, and it has saved me from getting ganked on numerous occasions... "Did that hunter just sheep me? Yes!"

If you see this one on AH, buy it. If you're lucky enough to have it drop, equip it. Amazingly high fun factor.

I've had this item for a long time on a warlock, but never seen it summon infernals. I do confirm fireball, frostball, chain lightning, polymorph, enveloping winds and, rarely, felhunter. But infernals? Never.

I have this on my lvl 52 Shaman, and I've yet to see any of the real cool procs! >=|
So far, I can confirm it has a Fireball for 200dmg. A Frostbolt for 150 dmg plus snare, and a chainlightning for 175 dmg (does not put my actual Chainlightning on cool down) and I'm using it on all targets that are either 52 and up, it's a really cool trinket to have, but I'm dying to see the polymorph, felhunter, or anything else. I don't think they nerfed it, considering Senthai just posted a day ago that his is procing the polymorph, enveloping winds, and felhunter. I've just yet to see it with mine =*(. I've only had it for a few days, though. So if I do get one of these procs, I'll edit this post.

Edit: Okay, I've had the thing for about a week now, and I just got my first Polymorph, lol. So all is well with it.

At 80, the summoned Felhound is level 80.
The sheep still lasts 20 seconds in pvp which is kind of overpowered.

"use 13" will use the trinket in the upper slot. Change this to "use 14" if you got it in your lower slot.

It's fun using this as a holy Paladin, even though some of this item's abilities do not do damage. It's also a pleasant surprise when fighting a higher-level monster to get a Polymorph. :) The Frostbolt effect is also nice.

Got this the other day and the Felhound finally popped.
Did about 150-200 damage for me (Level 80 Death Knight), but he was also casting Mana Burn about every 8 seconds, causing around like 550-650 damage and obviously drained Mana to >.>
And yes, he did attack everything in sight...

Ever since I knew of this item's existance, I've been keeping an eye out on the AH and tried to attend the Lord Kazzak raids when I could (which was difficult as mostly the outdoor raidbosses were killed during the day/work hours)... Slowly but steadily as time passed, so did my motivation....

With TBC released, and Lord Kazzak getting relocated to Hellfire with as part of his witness protection program deal (under the secret identity Doom lord Kazzak), we lost the only source that had a decent droprate.... I gave up considering it was now 'only' a random world drop in content no longer actively played.

Ofcourse - only by the time I had lost all hope of ever obtaining it, I just happen to run into it while aoe grinding runecloth in BRD. It wasnt untill then that I actually realized, that we're 20 levels ahead in content, and what was once a semi-usefull novelty item, is now just another item seated in a bank-slot, likely never to see the light of day again :(

I got this item yesterday evening in my lvl 57 hunter when i turned in a Flawless Draenethyst Sphere to Kum'isha the Collector for the quest Kum'isha's Endeavors which started from the same item.
I haven't equipped it cause i planned to sell it in the AH, but after i read all these comments here about its abilities I think rather keep it for myself and use it:))

I just bought one of these from the hoard on the booty bay AH for 1,000 gold.

I noticed the drop rate was low and above it was mentioned with the Orb of Deception.

I have not seen one of these at the AH in a long time. The Orb of Deception is at our AH for around 3500 gold. We'll see what happens.

This trinket is kinda nice for leveling up. Sometimes it makes <Backfire Polymorph> but I saw that polymorph can cancel (that cancelling is bug which is not yet fixed) So that you can continue killing your prey. As MMS hunter it's annyoining... :D

I had always thought this was a random world drop until I saw a player on one realm with 9 of them in the AH, for 30G apiece. Either this is the luckiest person in the world, he's hacked the system or it's no longer a random drop.

I got this the first time I ran Molten Core on my Paladin for my T2 pants off of Ragnaros, I also got my pants :) I was one click from vendoring this item, but I thought it looked unique. Thanks to Wowhead I realized just how awesome of an item it was.

I just wanted to inform that I got this from a big crate of salvage. However since the salvage yard was nerfed and no longer grants those awesome chests, I believe I was really lucky to get this funny novelty item. Make sure to open any big crates of salvages you may have , you never know what awesome items might be waiting for you.
