Can be good for those wishing to RP an Argent Crusader due to the design. I use it for my paladin, along with the healing T6, Lightbringer Raiment.

Please, please, PLEASE someone tell me where the hell you get this shield. Thottbot doesn't know, WoWhead doesn't know, and the one person I've seen who has it says Tirion Fordring awards it, but I see no quests he ends that give it.

The shield does come from a questline in the Western Plaguelands that ends with Tirion Fordring. I believe the questline begins in Hearthglen as well, although I'm not sure from what NPC.

I believe it's the one that starts with you killing the Gnolls in the tower.

EDIT: I believe the quest chain starts with "An Audience with the Highlord"
