As far as I know, this is the best itemized pre-raid headpiece for a Fire Mage, since we need a lot of hit and crit is our best secondary stat.

Of course, I haven't even gotten to 85 yet, so I can't say if it's the best.

Wowhead suggests using as the meta gem for this for warlocks but would be better for our overall dps. Who worries about threat... >.>
