This is the namesake of Muradin Bronzebeard most likely, because he is the Bronzebeard (Royal family of the Ironforge Dwarves)that is most intertwined with the Lich King. Muradin was part of the Explorers Guild, and ventured to Northrend to look for a Runeblade he had heard about. There he met Arthas Menethil, whom he had taught the art of the balde, on his crusade to murder Mal'Ganis. There the Prince and the Mountain King fought hundreds of undead. When all hope seemed to be lost, Arthas remembers the Runeblade. They go and search for it, and eventually find icy Revenants guarding it. They warned him that the blade would bring his doom. When they see it, Muradin learns that it is cursed. Arthas yells "I will bear any curse to save my people!" Then as Arthas draws the blade from it pedestal, it goes flying and impales Murdain, seemingly killing him. Arthas collects it, and starts on the long path to damnation, to be the Lich King.

Though in an annoying retcon, Muradin is still alive! He named himself king of the Frostborn, and was reunited with his family, regaining his memory. Now ready to kick Lich King ass.

The fact that I play on Khaz Modan server would make this Mace an awesome thing to have just for that flavour text. "FOR THE ALLIANCE AND FOR KHAZ MODAN!" Not to mention that is arguably the best tanking weapon in the game (ATM at least).

Apparently, Blizzard intended most of the damage that comes from this weapon to be the wall of text that crits you for over 9000.

Apparently Muradin made this mace, etched the text on it and threw it at Arthas' window, just for the kick out of it. I don't see how else a weapon saying it will smack the Lich King got in Arthas' hands, considering Muradin is alive and well outside ICC.

Almost all weapons dropped by the Lich King make reference to Arthas Menethil in his path of destruction before becoming the Lich King.

This mace makes reference to Muradin Bronzebeard, the royal dwarf that accompanied Arthas across Northrend in search of Frostmourne. Muradin warned Arthas from retrieving the blade, but the young prince just didn't listen. Muradin once believed killed by Frostmourne's pedestal shards, he wandered Northrend with no memory of who he was. Once he reunited with his Bronzebeard brothers, he pledged himself to destroy the Lich King.

I cannot believe this... is this real?

This is the real Zima Stonehammer. Originally, when I got full Judgment on my Dwarf I was so stoked the shoulders finally dropped I made a pretty silly speech, and it was a lot of fun. By request, I made the M'uru speech about 2 years ago, right around Sunwell time when my guild Momentum was trying to down him. I loved the lore of World Of Warcraft (up until it was kinda ruined, but whatever.)

I don't even know what to think. I am so humbled. Even though I haven't played in a few years, I feel like i've finally achieved something immortal.I wish there was some way to prove it was me who made this (I still know it by heart, maybe I should make a youtube video or something), but believe me, i have never been more excited.

I was so $%^&ed when Saurfang force choked Muradin, but this hammer brings the honor back. If you've noticed, best tanking items all have reference to Dwarves :] Only Dwarves make best tanks. Only Dwarves bash faces with longest and best flavor texts. Only Dwarves got to loot this weapon. Once I get it, I am going to farm Saurfang every week, twice, just to engrave this hammer into his dead skull.

Bronzebeard was a very noble dwarven familly.I think this was Muradin's weapon.A really interesting peace of lore if you look find it. Muradin Bronzebeard was betrayed by Athas when he went on the northrend expedition.There he found survivors of the Muradin expedition.Caught by the undead Muradin and Arthas went to look for the legendary rune blade Frostmourne.Arthas leaded by the lust for revenge didn't see the sign on the blade which caused a earthquake or something and knocked Muradin down.After taking the blade Arthas defeated Mal'Ganis.

I'd have to say no on Ruby Sanctum items being anywhere near this.

You're likely to find some random pieces of armor on par with Lich King loot, similar to the items Onyxia dropped while Trial of the Crusader was the top-tier raid. You can also expect to see some more trinkets and things of that nature. The plan is to have a normal mode and a heroic mode just like Icecrown Citadel, so far there is no plan for a Sartharion +1/+2/+3-like encounter.

Meaning the Ruby Sanctum will more than likely drop 251/264 in 10 Man Regular/Heroic and 264/277 in 25 Man Regular/Heroic, where as Lich King Heroic loot is 284

I'm sure horde players will get a kick out of raiding IF and killing Magni with this. Even better an alliance character killing Garrosh with it: a complete anti-horde demonstration of who is REALLY in charge. :P
