The defense may be a problem that would be upgrading from the Northern Barrier, but simple enchant can assist that. Other gripes would include the lack of hit and expertise which may turn a few tanks away from this shield. Comparing the item to the The Boreal Guard places it more as a sidegrade considering the loss of stamina, the slight loss of defense as well as a socket that would allow you to fill in one of those mandatory red gems for many meta gem bonuses. A very nice addition to the compilation of aegises(?) coming with 3.2 overall.

Really think this should be alot larger, it's a *!@#ing coffin, I'd assume it would be atleast the size of like, a human coffin if not sized down a little to be actually effective.

Agreed. Except that defense should be of no issue if you are gear'd enough to even get this shield. Once you're running in 226 or higher gear.....the surplus of defense is almost stupid. Any geared tank knows what I'm saying. My 2 cents.

Unless you sit in Que for 30 minutes waiting for a Healer for Halls of Reflection and somehow win the roll against 4 other Plate classes on the Splintered Door of the Citadel then this is the only shield you're looking at while still bearing a Titansteel Shield Wall or any 200 epic you get lucky on.

Could anyone confirm that this item is still obtainable in the game?
I have been cultivating it for about a year, with a shaman and a paladin, for transmog, in normal and heroic mode, but I have never seen this shield as loot.

EDIT: I have finally obtained it! I must admit that it has taken a long time to fall, at least for me.
