Droood, cost of items varies a lot between servers, check the AH on yours for prices of titanium and eternal shadow and go from there.

Due to the nature of block, which is mitigating multipler smaller hits or generating aggro on multiple targets, I would not recommend this for a main tank, as it will not mitigate much damage from a boss. However, if you are the off-tank or have a shield designated for use on trash mobs, this would fit very nicely on it, and could help out quite a bit.

Don't forget that with http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=2565 active, its actually 80BV for 10sec which is a nice boost to your shield slams.

so is this like 40 block value? so if you got 1055 block value + 40 block value = 1095 value? If so I don't think 40 Block Value will do much. I personally like +20 Def Rating or + Stamina better.

I have to disagree, unless you're comparing this to a +Stam enchant, but that wasn't the OP's question.

It has long been established that, after the defense cap, +Def is not worth taking due to low returns. +Stam, +Dodge, or +Block Value (which i think most warriors really consider more of a threat stat than mitigation stat) are all superior to +Def after the cap.

As i said at the beginning though, if you're a main tank who's holding threat fine and are trying to decide between this and +Stam, you'll probably take the stam. But between this and +Def rating, this wins hands down.

Since it wasn't noted here before, I decided to blow the cash and try applying it to a lower-level shield. Turns out that this item DOES have a level requirement, and it is higher than 48. Most likely 70. So, sorry Prot War twinks, it's useless to ya.

Also, don't know if it causes the item to become soulbound or not. Does anyone else?

Is this stackable with any other enchants? I would like the block value of it for Shield of Righteousness when soloing, but a +sp mainly.

Of course it matters. Plenty of things in the game still do Very Bad Things as a side effect of a melee hit. Being unhittable for heroic Anub'arak in ToGC, for example, means that the stacking burrower ability will not destroy your offtanks.

Is it as important as being uncritable? Of course not. Does it still matter? Most definitely.

It's not possible to be unhittable. That's the reason why he says it doesn't matter anymore.

Actually that's incorrect for Paladins. It is desirable for OTing H25 Anub'arak, and possible with the right set of gear (stacking block rating) and correct elixirs/food. See: here and maintankadin.

As of this patch (4.0.1) it gives 26 parry rating instead of some block value since most items with block value have had it changed to dodge or parry, mostly block value has become parry unless the item already had parry on it then it became dodge, few items still have block value on them but they are out there.

Sadly this no longer effects shield slam damage so I would not be surprised to see even more people opting for 18 stam on shield.

If your main weapon is disarmed but has no enchant reducing the duration,
will you be able to reduce it by equiping your shield with this attachment?

I'm very curious to know whether or not anyone has tried 'enchanting' 带灼痕的龙人之盾 with this.
So far, it appears as though shield spikes ought to be scaling downwards but are not, and if this 'enchant' does scale down, it would make it superior to the +170 Parry enchant that I've been 'stuck with'.
I've searched forums and other places, and I know it says to post questions on Wowhead forums, but so far as I can tell there isn't a forum place for this sort of question.
(I realize there's a slider for this item, indicating that it should scale down, but there are also sliders on the item pages for shield spikes, such as 幽冥铁盾刺 which does *not* scale down.)
