A friend just bought 2! of those out of boredom. This sure does disappear after ONE use, which makes the duration of 365 days useless, aswell as the cooldown.

My guess is that after 365 days this item will turn into a reusable item similar to Brewfest Pony Keg. If thats the case, it is worth it to buy a couple, never know how much you could resell them for a year from now. /cross fingers

Anything I've ever had with a duration on it just disappeared from my inventory once the duration was over, probably the same with this.

My assumption would be that the Cask of Dalaran Red turns into this after a year, and that this turns into a Cask of Peaked Dalaran Red (link goes to spell, not item, as we haven't seen the item) after a year.

Unfortunately, it's difficult to tell what the Peaked Dalaran Red will be (just stronger alcohol?), as we can see the spell to create the glass, but not the glass itself.

I guess I'm off to turn part of my bank into a wine cellar.

one could imagine that the sell value would be larger then 250g.
if you waited a year. like with real wine

Keep in mind that the case must remain in your inventory in order for the duration to go down. If it stays in your bank the days will stay at 365 days. Learned this the hard way.

I bought all the "Improves with age." items from the vendor the 2nd day of WoTLK when i got to dalaran, now with 3.2 all of them now has a 0 sec duration... i love glitches

Someone posted on Cask of Peaked Dalaran Red saying it's also one time use and gives a generic alcohol, nothing special at all. Total BS of a reward, I'm keeping this crap in my bank forever just because of the time spent, or in case they ever change it.

I bought one of these around March but it still says "Duration: 359 days." I had it in my bank and my account has been canceled most of that time. I started playing again 6 days ago... so did the timer reset because I froze my account?

This item is actually cool as a birthday present. The person gets it the day of their birthday... and the next birthday is done to celebrate! : D and your friend... will remember you after a whole year. Just an idea if you dont have any for what to gift your friend in his/her Bday!.

As of right now on the 4.1 PTR when I use this item it turns into the Peaked Dalaran Red even tho I have 36 day's left on it witch I can then use right away and not wait the 30 mins. But it still goes away when I use it again.

Tested it with one that i just bought and it also turns into the peaked so if they don't fix it all of us who waited the year just got ripped off.

The casks are a scam. as of this date all the casks of dalaran red (whether regular, aged or peaked) sell for 1g 25s each. Shame on you, Blizz!
