Also, one of the best healer cloaks for priests too. We gain soo much from crit now, haste for faster heals, int for bigger mana pools (and thus replenishment) and more crit. Plus, in that blue socket, we can always stick in a nice spirit gem. So please do not chastise healers wanting to roll on this.

No spirit is a bummer but the blue socket adds flexibility to add such a gem to compensate if desired.

Over 100 spell power on a cloak is now possible if you place a Runed Dragon's Eye http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42144 into this. Hotness for any caster, jewelcrafter or otherwise.

I hope they add some new cloak graphics. It looks like I'm running around with Night's End on. Meanwhile I ditched Deathchill Cloak, which has a pretty nice graphic.

if my warlock rolled on a cloak with spirit or mp5 i would be burned at the stake. can you maybe leave one of the few pure caster dps cloaks to people who dps?

At 25-man version if you have 1 drake up he drops an additional loot of 213 iLvl. If you have a 2nd drake up he drops another piece but of 226 iLvl , and if you have all 3 up he also drops the Reins of the Twilight Drake.

Suprisingly enough, nobody has mentioned this being an exellent cloak for holy paladins aswell. The stats are perfect for us.

This cloak is more than just a "good" cloak for Holy Paladins. As it stands, this is the best in slot cloak for Holy Paladins. Period. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

The stats are perfectly itemized for Paladins. Missing absolutely nothing of consequence.

If you think that, for some reason, DPS casters should get this over Paladins (as opposed to having an EQUAL shot as it should be), then you have just absolutely no clue.

I really don't understand why people keep mentioning specific classes (i.e. this is the bestest cloak ever for warlocks and holy paladins). This is currently the best cloak in the game for all casters (healers and dps). Mages, warlocks, priests, paladins...everyone.

The haste and crit make this viable for everyone and, for healers with mana issues (which, if you're at a point where you're downing Sarth with two + drakes up, you're either not having the aforementioned mana issues or you are in desperate need of gear and have an entire raid carrying you), if you're a tailor, you can stitch your cloak to occasionally grant mana back to you, which would make up for the lack of spirit.

It really kills me when caster dps says that it isn't fair when a healer rolls on a piece of gear like this and uses the excuse "we can't roll on gear with mp5". I don't know how your guild distributes loot, but when was the last time you saw a healer that was allowed to roll on gear with hit if it wasn't an off-spec roll because no one wanted the item? Sometimes a piece is an upgrade, but contains hit, which is unnecessary. However, those items are reserved for dps because that is fair, just like not allowing dps to roll on +mp5 items is fair as well. That still leaves a phenomenal cloak, such as this, open for roll by everyone.

this cloak should still remain BiS through ulduar, at least till hard mode boss loot where cloaks like Drape of Mortal Downfall come in where dps casters after hit may get said cloak instead.

Drape of the Sullen Goddess drops from heroic Freya hard mode, and may be considered better than Pennant Cloak depending on your stat valuation. The trade-off is more burst with Pennant Cloak and better longevity with the Drape.

Sunglimmer Cloak from the quest started by Algalon's Reply-Code Alpha is an upgrade and technically from Ulduar.

As of 3.2, Aethas' Intensity is now BiS for Arcane Mages.
I know the link doesn't work, but it will be correct when added to Wowhead. You'll see.
