Currently, on the PTR for patch 3.0.8 you can trade 10 Ink of the Sea for 1 Snowfall Ink.

EDIT (taken from PTR patch notes): Jessica Sellers, a new vendor in the Dalaran inscription shop, will sell most inscription inks for the cost of one Ink of the Sea. She also sells Snowfall Ink for multiple Inks of the Sea.

I think this will cause a flood of darkmoon decks, since many inscriptionists (like myself) have thousands of these inks and nothing to do with them, and in the process of making snowfall ink, make loads of these. I myself am hoping this makes it to live realm, so i can make loads of these cards to complete decks for a few of my toons

Thought it was worth mentioning for those that are unaware of where these come from:
You get on average of 6 of these per stack of Adder's Tongue, Icethorn and Lichbloom; or:
You get on average 4 of these, per statck of all other northrend herbs.

That is of course after you've milled them to obtain the pigments, then crafted the pigments into inks. It's 2 pigments per ink and requires a person with Inscription profession, of course.

When trading be sure to check prices,
For example if 10 Ink of the sea trade for 1 Snowfall, Then on your AH your Ink of the Sea should be 10 times cheaper. If not, sell your Ink of the Sea and buy Snowfall. Of course if you need them right away then trading is better.

Now in Cataclysm, Ink of the Sea is no longer used as currency by the ink traders. Instead, Blackfallow Ink (the new 'common' inscription ink, made from milling Cataclysm herbs for Ashen Pigment) is used to trade for inks. Additionally, there are also Ink Traders in Orgrimmar and Stormwind, so you don't have to trek out to Dalaran if you need to trade for inks.

It would be nice to see the Dalaran vendors still trade with Ink of the Sea, as right now working to make Darkmoon Faire cards I'm sitting on hundreds of them with no real use.

梦幻墨水 is the MoP version of the tradeable ink.

Adder's Tongue: Sholazar Basin: 236 nodes
Goldclover: Howling Fjord: 169 nodes
Icethorn: The Storm Peaks: 374 nodes
Lichbloom: The Storm Peaks: 372 nodes
Talandra's Rose: Zul'Drak: 131 nodes
Tiger Lily: Sholazar Basin: 98 nodes

The Storm Peaks is the obvious choice for your node hunt at 746 nodes in this zone.

As of Shadowlands, the ink traders are not offering me the option to trade inks for 赤红墨水 anymore. Only for 幽影墨水.
