As a sub rogue Ive to say this is best glyph around for raiding. I don't know how it is with combat (probably ss glyph will work better) or muti rogues (I didn't test those builds enough) but with Honor Among Thieves in good group I literally get 1 cp per second that means I cant rely on rupture alone and have to constantly evi/snd I don't even use hemo nor ambush anymore. Evi got nicely buffed in 3.0.2 so it is really good choice for a finishing move also considering you can get lethality with HAT.

Incorrect, as you must not have read the following:
a) Assassination Rogues deal top dps now
b) Cut the Chase refreshes S&D to max duration
c) Eviscerate has had it's damage scaling increased to be more useful

Given this, an additional crit strike% to Evis would be really nice. It'll be used a few times in a fight if you are Assassination.

Rupture is good dps, but when you can ALSO maintain a 30% haste self buff, Evis becomes better dps.

BTW, once you get your rotation going, you can use both Rupture and Eviscerate.
S&D for one pt, Evis for one pt (refreshes S&D to max time), then combo out a max/4 pt Rupture.

Then your finisher rotation becomes
Rupture/Eviscerate/Rupture/Eviscerate

Incorrect information given here, Envenom does more DPS in any fight than eviscerate ever will and the reason is the same we have been giving everyone on the rogue forums...

Eviscerate = Combat / PVP
Envenom = Assassination...Only with Vile poisons and Imp Poisons, it is this kind of misinformation that leads others to confusion, please refer to http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&board=5 (Rogue forums)

Envenom's base damage is 1740, at Five Combo Points.

Eviscerate's base damage is 2450 - 3365, at Five Combo Points.

This is as a 8/20/43 HaT specced Rogue with daggers and 2857 attack power.

While there will be mitigation due to armor, it does not drop Eviscerate's base damage as low as Envenom's. Also, Eviscerate, if specced correctly, will do more critical strike damage via Improved Eviscerate, in addition to additional base damage with 5/5 Aggression.

As Raiding Mutilate, you want to Eviscerate relatively often, to keep Slice'n'Dice up via Cut to the Chase. You can, and should, rupture in between Eviscerates to maintain a steady flow of damage.

:P All you PvE rogues....

Surprised that no one has mentioned using this for PvP. While I haven't actually tested it out yet myself, it seems like 10% crit chance bonus on this classic PvP finisher would be pretty desirable, even if only to compensate for crit lost to enemy resilience.

There's nothing like more burst for PvP. :)

For a combat rogue, should I use Glyph of Rupture or Glyph of Eviscerate ?
I thought that combat rogues used eviscerate more often :|

No one has mentioned L59 twinks yet. At the moment (3.3.3), I'm favoring SS/Evis with Blurred Speed and Vanish. While it does fail to armor as mentioned above, its still good burst damage for pvp. The Overall damage from the Rupture is better (albeit slower), but healers seem to be able to heal through it. SS/Evis works well with an ambush predator (cheap shot, slice and dice) type of tactic. With crit base at 20%, and a chance for mongoose, this glyph means you can usually count on a crit from Evis. I find 2 points of slice and dice lasts long enough for most exchanges. I'm getting Arpen from 2x phantom blades with double mongoose due to the phantom strike. <- this combo looks amazing btw. You will absolutely glitter with twinking glowing L337ness. I get a lot of comments on these weapons.

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.

OLD: Glyph of Eviscerate - Increases the critical strike chance of Eviscerate by 10%.
NEW: Glyph of Debilitation - Your Eviscerate and Envenom abilities also reduce the target's movement speed by 50% for 6 sec.
