I have a feeling this is going to be very OP for twinks. Hell I wasn't even a twink but I was one-shotting people at level 38 on my shaman; with a 40% boost in AP on each WF a twink shaman would be incredibly powerful :O

not only a twink ... even a 70-80 will own with this ... i, on my shamy, deal more damage than a rogue (total damage, referring to the DPS meter) ... but with this i will deal more damage than a rogue ... without the use of spells ...

I fail to understand how this isn't possibly the best glyph in the game.
The tooltip specifically says:
"
The attack power bonus on the additional attacks granted by Windfury Weapon is increased by 40%
."
This means that the AP bonus given to the extra swings, which is currently 1250 at lvl 80, will be increased by 40%, or exactly 500 AP. I don't believe weapon speed has any bearing on the AP bonus that Windfury gives, so including it in the math seems faulty to me. Weapon speed will certainly effect how much more damage is done with each swing, but it has no effect on the AP bonus.
When you multiply a weapon's DPS rating by it's speed, you will get the average damage it will deal on each strike. This will typically fall in the middle of it's damage range.
It is widely known that 14ap = 1dps.
1750 / 14 = 125
So with the glyph, Windfury adds 1750ap, or 125dps.
If you were to take the weapon speed, whatever it is, and multiply it by 125, you would get the actual amount of damage that gets added on to each of the extra two swings as a result of the proc.
For example, the
Brutal Gladiator's Cleaver
has a weapon speed of 2.6 (
which means that it will swing once every 2.6 seconds
). So we take 2.6 and multiply it by the DPS bonus that a glyphed Windfury awards:
2.6 x 125 = 325
So a glyphed Windfury at max rank, will give a 2.6 speed weapon 325 extra damage on each of the two extra swings (
as a side note, this is why slower weapons scale better with Windfury, as slower weapons recieve a bigger damage bonus per swing
).
With the Cleaver, and using Windfury at max rank, lvl 80, a typical proc will look like this:
swing 1: 196-365
swing 2: 428-597
swing 3: 428-597
Now with the same setup, but adding the glyph a typical proc will look like this:
swing 1: 196-365
swing 2: 521-690
swing 2: 521-690
All this is assuming no crits.
As you can see, the total damage increase may not quite be 40% (partially due to the first swing receiving no bonus whatsoever), but it surely is much more than 7 or 8%. However, as the glyph's tooltip states, it most certainly does increase the AP bonus from Windfury by 40%.

Your calculation is correct, but your base dam values are way too low. If you use realistic lvl 80 values, the Glyph only will increase WF dam by around 5%.
Simple calc:
my current MH does an average of 766 dam every 2.56s (solo, only with UR)
unglyphed WF would add 228 dam, which makes a total of => 994 dam per WF hit
glyphed WF would add 282, which makes a total of => 1048 dam per WF hit
1048 / 994 = 1.054 => only a 5.4% increase in WF dam
And as your AP increases through equipment and buffs, the Glyph's relative effect gets lower.

Just to make sure im not reading this wrong, is it "Everytime you swing you gain an addition 2% chance to get a WF proc until it procs"
or a static "2% higher chance to get WF proc" ?

According to Elitist Jerks they have an increased proc rate (36%) when duel wielding to compensate for the 3 second internal cool down. Does anyone know if the post-glyph rate is 38%, 39.6% or something like that?

hi, i have a question, does this glyph also modify the tooltip of the spell
windfury weapon
, i mean, does the spell tooltip change to: "Imbue the Shaman's weapon with wind. Each hit has a 22% chance of dealing additional damage..."? cause i still have the normal (20%) tooltip and im using the glyph. sorry if its a dumb question =P im new.

What i've read so far makes some sense, but the phrasing is complicating things.
Emidas is the the clearest, but here's an end-of line:
The glyph adds 2% to your chance of proccing Windfury; so you have a 22% per swing of proccing Windfury (instead of 20% without it)
Over 100 swings you should swing twice more than without the glyph:
without glyph= 20 out of 100 proc
with glyph= 22 out of 100 proc
Therefore, you should have 10% MORE swings proccing windfury.
in summary, thats: 22% chance-TO-proc, of which 10% MORE swings proccing.
The important bit is that it's 10% more of your swings proc Windfury,
NOT
10% higher chance - of proccing - per swing .
What was confusing me was the talk about '10% more', leading me to think i would have 10% more chance-to-proc (which is silly has that conflicts with the glyph's tooltip - although it would be amazing; wishful thinking!)

WF does alot of damage by itself. getting this glyph will increase your outgoing damage over a long period of recorded combat by 10% of however much your WF was previously doing.
Say WF is doing 13% of your damage done. This glyph is worth 1.3% damage increase. Now you decide whether youw ant it or not.

OLD: Glyph of Windfury Weapon - Increases the chance per swing for Windfury Weapon to trigger by 2%.
NEW: Glyph of Cleansing Waters - When you dispel a harmful Magic or Curse effect from an ally, you also heal the target for 4% of your maximum health.
