I found some Raging Boilers in Borean Tundra at the north end of the map, also near some Boiling Spirit's. The Raging Boilers drop fire and the spirit's drop water.

The
Seething Revenants
in Storm Peaks have a decent drop rate.

You can get these from Steam Clouds, if you are an engineer with a Zaphote Mote Extractor.

A great place to gather these is a
cave
in Stormpeaks, filled with
Wailing Winds
. They are pretty much bunched up in there so it's quite easy to aoe them. They also respawn rather quickly, so if you have the cave all to yourself, you should bunch up some eternal fires in no time!

Farming these can be a pain if you can't find a good place where the mobs are thick.
South of Bor'Gorok Outpost
-- 49, 16
I stayed here for all of 5 minutes. Here is 70 fire elemental s which are weak but hard to kill with all the other people coming through this area. I didn't even stay long enough to get a crystal.
South of Thunder's Fall(Storm Peaks)

Here is a place with Flame Revenants which are scattered among Elite Giants. These Giants might turn friendly with some questing, not sure. Either way the drop rate isn't bad but there are so few that if your competing for mobs you better be fast.
Frostfloe Deep(Stormpeaks)

Best place. As a Holy Paladin I went front to back in 15 minutes and by the time I came back there were respawns. There are a lot of mobs in there and they all drop crystallized Fire.
Happy Grinding :D
Edit: Cords added

For casters, the Seething Revenants definitely make for the easiest farming. Unlike the Wailing Winds, they won't charge you after you tap them, and they'll often stop moving to channel Seething Flames, which will buy you extra time to attack them from range. Although they're somewhat more spread out than the Wailing Winds, they also have a solid respawn rate.

Definitely the hardest crystallized to gather among the others.

Caudron of Flame, 82, 72 above the Obsidian Dragonshire in Dragonblight, you can also get there from Wintergrasp.
So far it looks like the droprate is pretty good, above 50% even. But I haven't been here all that long.

In Wrath of the Lich King, Crystallized elements may be harvested from gas clouds using the
Zapthrottle Mote Extractor
, just as elemental Motes were harvested from gas clouds in Burning Crusade.

The best farming spot for me was at 76 . 62 in Stormpeaks. Seething Revenants spawn there...i got 40 Crystallized fires (4 eternals) in about 30 minutes. The respawn rate of the mobs is almost instant. It had under 40% drop rate for me, but there were so many that it didnt matter. Did my farming at 11:00 srv time along with 3 other farmers. Nice rare bracers also dropped there from one of the elementals
. Good luck farming!

The "Reagent for" tab shows that it requires 9 Crystallized Fire to create an Eternal Fire, however the way Blizzards spell works is a little misleading.
You "Use"
one
of the Crystallized Fire's which casts a spell that requires another 9 to create an Eternal. It requires 10 in total.

Currently is dropping the Crystallized Fire at a rate of <15% for myself.
However a stack of 20 Hoary Crystals can be sold for 3 G to vendors and the NPC's that drop the Crystallized fire are low dps!
Farming here might be slow, but with the high respawn rate, it is a safe bet when other locations are full.

Eersel's place is an excellent spot to farm fire.
Usually I got them just from Titanium Mines, but it can take a while for them to show up.
So farming from raw mobs is a very good alternative.
Those sparky-charger mobs have a pretty decent respawn and droprate for the fires.
The respawn is nice if there's just one person farming it.
With too many ppl it's not worth it obviously.
Got about 2.5 Eternal in just 20 minutes farming them.

The best place to farm Crystallized Fire is actually in Wintergrasp; the lava covered area in the southeast section of the map. There are 4 to 5 Flame Revenant
spawn points and a bunch of Raging Flames.
Things to remember:
1.) Wintergrasp is a PvP zone so enemy players can and will kill you while you're in the middle of a fight, or in my case, when you have pulled a huge group of Raging Flames while waiting for the Flame Revenants to respawn.
2.) In case you’re faced with some competitive farmers the order in which you kill the Flame Revenats is almost always the order in which they respawn. So while other farmers are picking away at the 25% drop guys you will have a pretty good idea where the next 99% drop guy is gona pop up.
3.) During an active Wintergrasp battle when the zone is being contested all elementals despawn until the battle is over so no point trying to farm while the fight is on.
4.) Minners, there are also some Saronite Deposits that spawn right around there so you can mine it up while waiting for respawns.
5.) When I have the area to myself I can farm anywhere from 80 to 130 Crystallized Fire in an hour. A 20 stack of Eternal Fire goes for 350 to 450 gold on my server.
Good Luck.

Great farming location
(Storm Peaks - 77,63)
This is what I've got after exactly 2 hrs of non-stop farming using my hunter/wolf
120
Crystallized fire (12 Eternal fire)
80G
vendor trash
80
Relic of Ulduar
This place is just amazing. Mobs spawn at insane speeds, even 3 times consecutively after you kill one. Using a hunter with your pet set on aggressive it's a non-stopping hunt. You constantly follow your companion while killing stuff. Even with competition (I was with 3 other players) I almost never stopped. Mana was not a problem (I specced to avoid using AotV -> not used a single time in 120 minutes) so it was really a nervous fight with my wolf running like a crazy dog. Considering it was just a grinding session to level alchemy... it was even fun.

I was farming these south of Bor'gorok outpost in Borean Tundra (raging boilers). I was there for about an hour an I got 9 Eternal Fires altogether. I am an affliction warlock with Naxxramas 25man - Ulduar 25man gear and I can kill them each with a corruption and a curse of agony (I could probably kill them with 1 DoT, but then they die slower and I don't get low on mana anyways). I had a hunter bot as a competitor, but he wasn't taking more than 3 when by the time i took 20. This is actually not such a bad place to farm if you're alone, as the respawn is almost instant (about 10-20 seconds i would estimate), and therefore you can keep DoT-ing, and then loot while they respawn. I would estimate that there are about 16-20 raging boilers there in total, at least of what I could see, and some of these are fighting the water elementals nearby, so they're even easier to kill.
Note that the big elemental guy there is unkillable, and when you get him to 1 health, he starts talking and then despawns (he's for a quest). The mobs are level 70-71 and hit for next to nothing on me.
I did not drink or eat even one time while i was there, just use your Fel Armor as a warlock and Life-Tap if you get low on mana.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I went to the Seething Revenants in Storm Peaks (west of Dun Niffelem), and stayed there for an hour (give or take a few min), and altogether I got 99 Crystallized Fire, 96 Relics of Ulduar, 207 Hoary Crystals, 48 Efflorescin Shards, 1 Crystalsong Leggings of the Sorcerer, Bouquet Ring of Agility, Ulduar Breastplate of the Physician, Skeletal Hacker of the Whale and loads of grey gear.
Please note that I had no competition except for the occasional player doing the quest to get the molten thingys on the ground. There are at least 3 Seething Revenants there at all times, if you kill one when there are 3, 1 will instantly spawn.
The DoTs I used here was Unstable Affliction, Corruption and Curse of Agony. I used an occasional Death Coil when I got under 10k health, but other than that I just Life-Tapped and let my Fel Armor heal me. They hit for 400-500 and crit for about 800 damage. Their Seething Flame spell makes a dot on themselves that gives them a buff that hits anyone near them for about 200, but as I am ranged, the hits and the spell didn't bother me much. It can be quite hard to see the Seething Revenants through the smoke that is on the black circle there, but just go to there and press tab a few times to check if you're uncertain.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This time I went to the Wailing Winds in The Storm Peaks. They are in a cave. Let me first say that these mobs are very annoying, and they do way more damage than the others I've been to, they hit for about 200 and crit for about 500 (on cloth of course), but they hit very fast. These guys don't drop Relics of Ulduar, and since my inventory was full after a few minutes, I don't know how much other items I got other than 100 Crystallized Fires in 59 minutes. I would probably have gotten more if my inventory hadn't become full, because I spent some time checking the previous mobs I had killed, so this wasn't very efficient, but I would probably not have gotten anymore than 120 Crystallized Fires at the most.
I had to eat/drink 2 times or something, and had to use my Haunt spell + Death Coil to heal myself a lot of times, this slows down the process, but is faster than eating/drinking (I of course used Life Tap).
There are 2 levels, here upper and lower. The lower level is further inside the cave, and it is much more pleasant to cast there, as there are no obstacles. They have 12.2k health and the DoTs I used were Unstable affliction, Corruption and Curse of Agony (with an occasional Haunt and Death Coil). Curse of Agony and Corruption would have killed them, but I chose to use Unstable affliction too, as it is annoying to run with these guys on my back. The reason is because they CHARGE. Very, very, VERY annoying. The upper level is not a good place to cast spells with casting time, because of all the obstacles, so if you can manage with instant spells, that is advisable. They have a fairly high drop chance (about 30%), and drop 1-2 Crystallized Fires. But I had to run quite a lot more, because of the ups and downs in levels.
I would not recommend this place to anyone but people who get close to the target before they attack, like a charging warrior or a stealthing rogue, even though it may be a little faster than the others, because it's so god damn annoying to get charged every time you attack a mob.
Happy hunting!
(I'll add more as I go to the different places)

Note that you can also place these on your action bars, to make it easier to keep track of them/convert them to eternals.

The Cauldron of Flames area in Wintergrasp is by far the best place for an Engineer to farm Eternal Fire... assuming there are not any other engineers in the area. The reason is that two Cinder Clouds spawn every ~5 minutes in the Cauldron, and there is a third Cinder Cloud spawn down the mountainside and to the east at the Obsidian Dragonshrine. These three gas clouds will result in 6-12
crystallized fire
every 5 minutes
by themselves
. If you have no competition (Horde or Alliance), by the time you clear out the
Raging Flames
the three Cinder Clouds will have probably respawned. At that point, you just have to wait a minute or two for the mobs to respawn by the time you collect the last Cinder Cloud at the Obsidian Dragonshrine.
Even if there is fierce competition at the Cauldron for the
Raging Flames
, you may find it worth it to just farm those three Cinder Cloud spawns as an engineer. As long as you have something else you could be doing, like Alt-Tabbing and posting on Wowhead, then by the time you're done they will be there waiting to be tapped.

So i spent an entire day farming these little buggers... kinda fun, but for the sake of RULING THE AUCTION HOUSE i had to see what was best :) so after a long and tiring day i have found that the wintergrasp area works best. im a 80 hunter and killing them one at a time means that i CAN NOT kill them all quick enough to have no more taragets :) also had a guild tank with me for about an hour to pull so i aoe'd the whole group. average respawn was 3-5 min for the whole group. or what i did was make a loop of WG for mining:) get back and kill again. all together a VERY profitable day, Happy hunting :)

Engineers:
A good route for farming the different types of clouds containing Crystallized Fire starts in Wintergrasp. Porting into Wintergrasp and heading down to the fire elemental area will yield two clouds (5-10 minute respawn) following the lava river into Dragonblight into the Obsidian Dragonshrine will yield an additional cloud.
Heading west out of the Obsidian Dragonshrine toward Borean Tundra (stay in Dragonblight, there are no clouds along the southern edge of Wintergrasp) will usually yield at least one cloud containing Crystallized Air or Crystallized Water.
Once you reach Borean Tundra, a circuit around the Steaming Pools will usually yield 3-4 clouds. After you've finished your circuit head north to Sholazar Basin and begin a circuit around the entire zone. The proto-dragon area is almost a guaranteed one cloud and usually the entire zone will yield 3-5 clouds.
Usually by time you fly from Sholazar Basin back to the fire elemental area in Wintergrasp the route is beginning to respawn. Following the entire route laid out here will on average yield 3-5 fires, 2-3 airs/waters depending on your luck.

Farmed the Borean location for 1 hour, as a 77 Druid Kitty, and got enough to make 10 Eternals, which only sell for about 12g each on my server, but I am using them for Titansteel anyway. Also, I picked up 12 green items for the AH and about 50g in vendor trash, so not too shabby for an hour.

I have found a neat way to get Crystallized Fire is to run the dungeon
Halls of Lightning
and get to the room just before the second boss, and kill all the
Unbound Firestorms
. Remember there is a limit to doing 5 dungeons within an hour so I suggest running it four times then going to Sholazar Basin and farming Saronite or Titanium veins. Or you could go to wintergrasp and farm
Flame Revnants
for an hour until the dungeons have had their world reset. This is how I got my 12 Eternal Fire for the Titansteel bars. Since Eternal Fire costs like 80 gold on my server. :/ Anyways I hope this helps those in need of Eternal Fires.

I tried many different farmings for these, as I needed ~700 for craftings.
I did a lot of farming in the Storm Peaks cave, which was alright, but sometimes I'd go 10-15 kills without seeing any drop.
I tried the Wintergrasp mobs, but as of SL pre patch, they're level 50 and so quite a bit slower to kill.
I noticed the clouds at the WG area and had thought about them earlier as well. Have an engineer, who already owned the

, so decided to try that out.
I was by far my favourite farming method. Mainly did steam clouds and a few cinder clouds in Sholazar, but would also at times pop by the Geyser Fields in Borean Tundra.
