One amazing tankgem, best used on T6 or even the T4 helmet for maximizing SBV in your entire set, along with the shield mastery talent, this will bag you 40% extra block value. I'd still put the stamina one in my engineering goggles and save this one for T6, otherwise , a shame that the ZA helmet doesnt have a meta slot.

Of course it's well worth it to use it on any of your helmets, but I'd say to make most of it, especially in a shieldslam 'set' every piece should be tailored for that use.

most likely you are looking at a 10% increase to your total SBV, not just the value of your shield. So basically your SB set which may have 800 - 1000 SBV will see a significant increase. Also remember that Shield Slam damage is modified by SBV so you could easily see 4000+ SS crits using this meta gem.

Finally a real tanking meta. Most tanks I know, myself included ran with the 18 stam gem, as the other defense rating gem was a joke, the heal was worthless, and the def rating wasn't enough to warrent using it.

This one scales really well, more so warriors then paladins, given how Shield Slam threat works, but still nothing to sneeze at, and 10% is a lot, it can add up really quickly, even in my dodge gear I've still got 430 block value, and in my block set with gnomer trinket I'm at over 1k (can't recall the exact number, been a while since I used the set, gonna have to break it out).

This is truely an exceptional gem.
