This is a very nice food, extremely helpful for classes who's gear has little hit rating on them (tanks still in Karazhan level gear).

Will be great for Rogues as well, with the Hit Cap increase to 362, eating 20 hit is not bad, although, REACHING the new hitcap will result in a loss of every other stat, so 20 hit rating for killing talbuks, thats damn fine, considering that 342 MAY be possible without gimping ap/crit/agi/ect

Reaching hit cap wont be "a loss of every other stat", just because hit gives you maximum dmg increase till its capped. If we are talking about top PvE of course.

Definitely a great addition. This allows you to hook up your gear more. (I.e. gems), being there is only an aura that improves hit ratting. We'd get the agi/ap food buff, prior to this 2.3 patch. This one takes the cake & the plate.

20 Hit Rating -> 1.26% hit
A must item for dualwielding classes that lack hit rating.
Remember that for rogues it's required 10% hit to hit a level 70 ~100% and for
warriors and shamans it's 25% to hit a level 70 ~100%.
25% hit is a must for fury warriors and enhancement shamans!

It's odd that it's getting so rated down, personally I think it's nice to know how much hit % it gives.. How I found out was I took my hit %, then ate the food and substracted with the new hit % thus found out it's 1.26% hit for Shamans (if it's a difference with other classes), so it's not a false fact witch I am stating. -_-

This thing about dualwielding classes needing hit so bad is an old myth of not knowing anything about the game mechanics at all and thinking your a rogue, which obviously as a fury warrior or enhancment shaman your not.
The numbers(vs a lvl 73 target(boss))
Yellow attacks, 9% miss chance.
White attacks, 28% miss chance as a dualwielder.
Scaling.
Pre 9% hit it's obvious that hit scales both with yellow attacks and white attack, making it an absolute must to get up towards that point.
Warrior + Shaman.
After 9% hit, hit only scales with white attacks, meaning your offhand and your main hand + your procs.
Rogue.
After 9% hit, hit scales with white attacks, meaning your offhand and your mainhand + your procs + combat potency.
Since rogues scales with agility(mongoose) really well they also have combat potency which is why they go for hit. You can think of combat potency as the only source of extra rage for more yellow attacks.
Crit vs hit for warriors
Crit.
- Flurry, 30% more attacks speed on whites.
- Impale, 20% more damage on the crits.
- Scales with both yellow attacks and white attacks.
Hit
- scales with white attacks.
- more procs.
Now the keyword here is that white gives really little compared to the crits, since the crit actually scales with both attack tables.
And i'll break another myth for ya'all.
You don't need to hit to crit, theyre on sepperate dizes.
Example:
White attacks, 28% miss chance.
Let's call 1000 eyes on a dize 100%, meaning 10= 1%.
You have 20% crit, 10% hit(talents and gear).
Since normally i'd show, 1-280 you miss it's 100 less there since you have 10% hit so.
1-180 you miss.
181- 237 your attack is dodged.
238 - 488 your attack is glanced.(25% chance afaik)
489 - 689 Your attack Crits(flurry, impale)
690 - 1000 Your attack hits.
You can never exceed 100% attacks so obviously getting Crit will squeeze out the 670 - 1000 your attacks hits, and %hits will squeeze out the 1-180 you miss.(never mix those two)
So purely based on what ive written Hit is superior to Crit.
But then again, i didn't show the yellow attacks where the miss is only 9% and you dont need more hit, so the hit table doesn't need hit vs crit into consideration at all.
So yellow attacks.
1-56 your attack is dodged.
57-307 your attack glances.
308- 508 your attack crits(impale, flurry)
509-1000 your attack hits.
As you see we have no Miss chance in the yellow attacks(not including the 1% miss chance you always got or whatever it is)
But the point is that the only thing that scales with both yellow and white here is flurry impale and crit oh lets not forget attack power <3 :)

To make it somewhat easier... (Taken from

) 2handers, 1handers and rangers need 9% hit rating, no problem. Dual wielders need 28% means if you got precision on rogue talent(5% hit) you need 363 hit rating. For each 15.77 hit rating you get 1%. Without that rogue talent you need about 442 Hit rating.
With spicy hot Talbuk, you need now 422 Hit raiting. If you got enhance shaman, you know with this hit rating, you will all of a sudden be ensured a nice white hit. so GO GO GO GUYS!
An important thing to remember, if you got like... 50% chance to crit, there is still chance to miss, or to put it to the extreme, say you have 100% crit, you can still miss, Crit doesn't overwrite your hit. and you can still be dodged or such, which you need expertise rating for, but ofc if you raid, you stand where the boss can't dodge/parry/block. Hit is about Hit/miss not hit/crit neither dodge/block/parry.

In simpler turns if you don't hit you can't crit.
I'm a Arms Warrior and I love my Spicy Hot Talbuk because having that extra 20 hit rating means that I can put 20 points of hit rating into crit and strength instead. *yay gems*
If your 2h then you need 144 hit rating to never miss and every point you go over that is wasted. Now I've never played a rogue or a shaman but with a 2h Warrior every miss is brutal. 3.7 seconds down the drain without a point of rage.
*side note*
Attack Power, Critical Strike, and Hit Rating count towards ranged as well as melee, which is really handy for fights like Nightbane where you can't always be within melee range.

This analogy is incorrect. Hit and crit are mutually exclusive, a crit does not depend on a hit to happen. Thus, in most situations, increasing your hit rating, will not affect your crit rate at all.

Of note, when WotLK hits, this will be the preferred caster food, since usually hit rating is itemized a little lower than spell damage; 20 hit rating > 23 spell damage. Granted, with the talent changes most casters need more hit rating, and this will help.
Of course, it all depends on your other gear, but caster's usually won't have to gem for hit as much (can fill those yellow gems with int or +haste).

this is the lowest level hit rating food. i absolutely hate missing. biggest pet peeve in the game.
