Unfortunately, these look just like Giantstalker's except with a more yellow color I believe. Upgrades are upgrades I guess. =/

Strangely...in the WoW Armory, my Towering Mantle of the Hunt is listed as being dropped by Orendil Broadleaf ( http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=3847#go-to-comment-136335 )...when it is in fact dropped by Commander Sarannis.

Plus these use the same model as the Giantstalker set, which I liked the look of (except the helmet).

The Desolation and Beast Lord shoulder are actually pretty weak if you manage to get 4/5 Beast Lord or Desolation. 4/5 Beast Lord and Wyrmfury Shoulders from H Durn are probably a step better but definately harder to get. 4/5 Desolation is a bit harder to get but if you manage to, these w/ Desolation would yield better results than Desolation Shoulders.

got this on my shaman tonight. our grop was without a tank.
our group consisted of me(enhance) mage, rogue and priest. all 4 in instance blues, crafted items and free epix.
easily cleared the trash with CC and did the boss with me using SR and earth elemental. downed boss with priest having 5% mana. fun fight :P

(we did so because our protadin was AFK)

This is one of the very few pieces of mail loot that still has both +agility and +intellect, a mechanic rendered obsolete with the release of Cataclysm and its changes to hunters (and shaman).
