This and the above mentioned Drakefist Hammer are going to be even more worth it after patch 2.0.7 as the haste effects get boosted by about +50%. This makes the truncheon possibly one of the best offhands available pre-raiding in TBC. Also I consider the haste effect so powerful for enhancement shaman that it could possibly be even better than any offhand weapon from Karazhan. The haste effect and already fast speed makes it brutal combo with slow, hard hitting main hand when using windfurys, especially when using Bloodlust also. More hits = more windfury = more win, the burst damage can some times be ungodly. Note that at the moment offhand hits CAN and WILL proc main hand windfury hits if you use different rank windfurys in main hand and offhand.

Combat ratings given by Eyonix on 20th of October 2006 says that 15.8 haste rating equals 1% making pre 2.0.7 of this to give 8.35% haste. After 2.0.7 considering the patch note's "increased by about 50%" I would say the rating is now 8 based on the fact that this weapon gives 132 and Drakefist Hammer gives 200 haste rating, making them into nice round numbers (16.5% and 25% more speed).

Always been fan of powerful procs and alternative effects provided by gear opposed to plain higher damage, better stats offhand options.

You are correct, shouldn't do thinking at early morning. That would mean the new haste rating would be ~10.5 and good drop from earlier 15.8, making this weapon maybe not as superb as I first said but still very very good.

With this and Slice and Dice up at the same time, it's a 1.01 speed weapon. Pretty good against Pallies and Shaman, they'll have a hard time healing

What do you think about spamming shiv to proc this if you're offhanding it to Drakefist? Viable or moot? This is after haste has procced on DF Hammer ofc.

According to my calculations, if the mace changes to a 1.33 speed when it procs, it'd reach 0.88 in the hands of a Shaman every time it would proc while Flurry is active.
And if it all stacks, if a Shaman was to burn Bloodlust/Heroism as well, that would get to an insane 0.43 attack speed.

Add Grom'tor's Charge (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31071) in offhand, which would hit 0.459 (0.4586666666667).

I think that'd make any enhancement shaman happy in the pants.

I was under the impression that you cannot go below an actual 1.0 attack speed. I know the character sheet says so, but I heard it doesn't.

I could be wrong on this, but I thought there was a cap on it.

This is still a good off hand, don't see many maces like this one.

I'm dualwielding it atm with Drakefist in MH, and i discovered that when it proc 1st and just after that Drakefist haste will proc, you will get haste buff from witch proced 1st. It doesn't stack or even it's counting the better buff... It's just the 1st.

So... If I were you I would change it (as ench. shammy) to some 81.5 DPS dagger from Kara or if you like arena pvp - the arena axe/mace ;).

Tested with Procwatch:
1.9 procs per minute after 52 minutes of non-stop fighting the invunerable mobs in blasted lands.

Nice fury warrior offhand... procs often and stacks with abacus of violent odds and most other haste effects.

i used it with slice and dice with the rogue assasination set and my attack speed for both main hand and off hand when both assasination set and the mace itself haste rating procced reached 0.86 .

While Ive seen some good numbers thrown around for stacking haste effects, one has to remember the soft cap that Blizz has on weapon speeds. You cannot drop below a 1.0 weapon speed for any weapon. So your tooltip may say that you are swinging at an 0.8 or 0.7 speed, but the fastest you can go is 1.0. Sucks I know, but Blizz is gay towards rogues like that.

Seems like it should be a nice weapon for us palys as well.
More hits mean more seal and judgement procs, and seal of crusader will drop it's speed to 1.1 or 1.11 (depending on how the game rounds) and probably around .96 with the proc, making this great for a paly who wants to spam judgement of light/wisdom procs and would probably make for a comically fast reckoning (much to other melee's envy) while the haste proc and seal of crusader are up

Not a bad tank weapon either. Throw in a couple of Solid Stars of Elune, toss on 20 Agility and you got a nice/comparable weapon to Gromtor's Charge. This is even better as a human. That extra +5 to weapon skill with maces and swords make a big difference in hitting.

This damn thing is the best item for my lvl 70 pally.considering i have the crystalforged blad..i occassionaly use it and i get proc 0.99 speed to this thing when lightning speed comes up while seal of crusader is up...does pretty decent damage for a mace :D

In my opinion it doesnt seems bad for tanking :) if you place 2
Solid Star of Elune on it you will have one hand mace with 24 stamina that is like 270 life for a protection warrior :)

Note that if a dps needs it better pass , sure there are better tanking one hand weapons but this can be good too.

you guys might think im crazy but im getting this for my pre kara gear for tanking(warrior) i think it would work great especially with the 2 gem slots, im thinking 2 15 stam gems

great proce rate this x2 with mongoose haste stacked is fun i dueled a rogue with one of these and a fast wep 2 bad unqiue eqiuped but he got monngoose and this to proce he was hiting at about .3 attack speed and hiting for 200 mh and .2 attack oh and hiting 150 so total dps 666+750 (i know devil mh) 1416 dps at 70 this was bc times and thats some nice dps for a blue mh it was crazy i ound wat 2v2 bc him x 2 would be like id sh!t my pants omg 3000 dps 2v2 team is sweet in those days 2000 was prety good but make sure to use ur hastey gems and gear 3000 dps vs 7000 hp healer 12000 hp warrior one goes on warrior one on priest let warrior get stuned first then after about half heal lay out on healer u could pwn he was procing so much becuz after 1 he was geting others and if troll u could probly get 3400 dps could drop a healer warrior team of alot of res and hp they have about 19000 k hp combind vs 3000 dps 2 sec 6000 hp 3 9000 so about 6-7 sec and the team is dead but u gota rember u aint gona proc that fast but still have good dps and thats no ss if u use burst and all i bet u could get up to 4 k dps with that team i can just imagine them runing into blade arena saping healer and one start 4 sec stun other 4 sec stun by them 8 sec or if imp about 6 sec he will be dead! vanish and the healer with afk out

This mace's faint black glow does in fact override enchants. So if you've got a dark set and don't want that blinding mistmatched glow distracting from your transmog, this is a great piece.
