First pair of quest mail pants that you see in BC that have sockets. Great for hunters! Socket some +agi, +hit, and +crit gems in it and you have a great pair of inexpensive pants!

They look horrible.

You might as well go to Ramparts and get Scale Leggings of the Skirmisher. They are a LOT better and they don't make you look like a baton twirler.

Level 74 and im still using them. Gemmed them with WOTLK gems and havent found a trade up AP wise since. 3 +24 ap gems give what... 132 AP for enh shammies.

So what am I missing here? These Zangarmarsh quest reward pants have a lower iLvl than these Hellfire Peninsula quest reward mail pants, Sunstrider Legguards.

I'm thinking that, as a hunter, I want to stick with the Sunstrider Legguards.

Be smart !
iLevel is a guideline to use very loosely. It can be wildly inaccurate.

Drop 3 agility gems in these. My choice will be the +16 because I can get them for about 40g for the three. That is 48 agi extra! Increasingly more powerful gems are made long after the green, socket-item quest rewards were designed. Usually you want to grab the items with multiple gem slots so you can drop in these overpowered gems in and make your quest green more like a purple. Here is one example Shifting Camouflage Pants. These are level 70 epics that are pretty damn close to these Expedition Forager Leggings, of which were designed for aprox level 65 toons. If you chose a non socketed green over these pants feel free to slap yourself.

Later in the game they won't give you all these sockets for such an easy quest.(##RESPBREAK##)272##DELIM##Uchur##DELIM##
