I am lvl 70, 366/375 Alchemy, was making Adept's Elixir's when I randomly "Discovered" how to make this Flask. It just sorta Proc'd. Everyone near me in Orgrimmar saw a yell message that was like "DISCOVERY! Bartender has just discoverd how to make a new flask recipe!" very cool, hah.

Learned how to make this today while making a Super Mana Potion. Surprised the heck out of me.

For what it does the materials are extremely cheap, in my opinion. Dreaming Glory is everywhere, practically, and 10 Mana Thistle is easy to come by.

Instead of posting on how this is discovered I thought I'd run a quick comparison between this flask and distilled wisdom

70 / 5 seconds = 840 mana / minute

After 2.38 minutes of combat this flask regenerates more than the distilled wisdom provides (+2000). For example, a typical boss fight of 5 minutes:

840 x 5 = 4200 - making it nearly twice as effective as a flask of distilled wisdom.

Having this flask on effectively makes it like you are using a super mana potion on cooldown. (75mana/5)

Even the damage casters in my guild have found it necessary to use this flask instead of Supreme Power. On mana intensive fights such as Magtheridon, it is almost required to have one of these and a major mageblood running.

There's a typo in its tooltip.
Read:
"This effect persists though death."
Should be:
"This effect persists through death."

I can confirm this flask stacks with all other mana/5 seconds buffs - Blessing of Kings, Mageblood Potions, Mana Oils to mention a few.

Sadly, in the next patch it's being nerfed from 70/5 to 25/5.

It now returns 300 mana per minute, as opposed to the previous 840 mana per minute. If you have any spare, its probably best to sell them now and then rebuy them when the materials have changed, as the potions in your inventory will be nerfed down despite however much you paid for them.

I would still call these very useful, but they are now the cheaper alternative to elixirs, reversed from what they used to be. Think about it, they last through death, for 2 hours, and 25mana/5 is still good.

Randomly while making pots for something I had this appear

Flask of Mighty Restoration of the sorcerer

+19 stamina
+13 Intellect
+15 spell Damage and Healing

Use: Increases the player's mana regeneration by 25 mana per 5 seconds for 2 hrs. Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. This effect persists through death.

This is non trainable and learned through proc from making Elixirs of Draenic Wisdom.

From experience, my Flask of Relentless Assault procced on Elixir of Draenic Wisdom. So i think all Flasks recipe's can procc.

I'm not to sure about that last part. Its been my exierence, that all mp5 bonuses, affect both casting and non-casting states. I'd love to know if someone who's already used one of these pots, could confirm that which I already assume it being.

Requirements to make a discovery

You must be crafting a potion, elixir, flask or performing a transmutation that was added in TBC.

As a rule of thumb that's anything that is learnt from a master alchemy trainer, dropped from a mob in outland or purchased from a vendor in outland. The only real exceptions are the pre-TBC flasks that have been made available from faction vendors in outland.

NOT requirements to make a discovery

You don't need to be in outland
You don't need a mastery
You don't need to be 375 alchemy
You don't need to be level 70
You don't need to craft yellow or orange recipes to make discoveries. Even grey recipes can proc discoveries
You don't need to be crafting a related recipe *except* in the case of cauldrons (You can discover flasks when making potions for example)

How will you obtain this with the new WotlK discovery system? Is it possible to discover old-school flasks through it or are they forever lost to those who pick alchemy now?

EDIT: One theory might be that the old discovery-system still works for Outlands-pots, meaning you'll get random old-school discoveries from doing OL-pots.

This also procs off of Crazy Alchemist Potion. It never dawned on me, but since the pot has a chance to give the effect of another random pot it kinda makes sense. So far Crazy Alchemist Potion has created Flask of Blinding Light Flask of Mighty Restoration and Flask of Pure Death for me.

I'd assumed discoveries only worked if crafting Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King items, but I just discovered this one while making 流水合剂, so can confirm this can be discovered from Cataclysm crafting as well.

(Yes, old news to those who research these things indepth, no doubt, but it may still be useful to someone!)

I have been trying for years to discover this recipe and it just isn't happening. I've made thousands of the other TBC flasks and other TBC elixirs. Then I saw that people were discovering it using Cataclysm recipes and got even more annoyed. I was the cauldron mule for my guild and made thousands of Deathblood Venom on top of flasks for myself. How on earth could it possibly take this long to discover a recipe? SO ANNOYING

Since I can't find a current thread relating specifically to Burning Crusade 'Discovery!' recipes I decided to post this in the threads relating to the 'Discovery!' Flask Recipes.

Level 100 Worgen Druid, Darkscythe-Malorne.

After having completed most of the Wrath recipes through Northrend Research, I began gathering Burning Crusade recipes. Once I was down to 'Discovery!' recipes, I came to wowhead looking for threads of the best way to discover them. There's a lot of information, but no one has provided any proof as to how they have been doing it. Most of the ways described in these threads involve either a) a lot of materials, b) a lot of gold. I found a cheaper recipe that has provided results for my Alchemists, and several guildmates Alchemists AND I've provided Screenshots.. so you know it works.

Using just the Crazy Alchemist Potion recipe (skill level 400) I've learned all the 'Discovery!' recipes except the transmutes. It only requires Goldclover x2 to craft and Goldclover is, by far, the easiest herb to farm in Northrend. It exists in at least 5 zones (although Grizzly Hills 1st and Shalozar Basin 2nd provided the fastest and easiest farm).

Also of note: During The Burning Crusade, I had a Rogue Alchemist and I distinctly remember gathering enough materials to craft ~ 1000 Super Mana Potions and I discovered nearly all the 'Discovery!' recipes pretty fast. During WoD, my wife leveled a Shaman to 70 and, using this same method, discovered all of the 'Discovery!' recipes crafting only Super Mana Potions very quickly.

At 100 on my Druid, I spent about 35k gold on materials to craft Super Mana Potions and got 0 'Discovery!' recipes. I don't want to suggest that Level played a part in her easily discovering all these recipes, but it seems odd that on a level 70 character the 'Discovery!' recipes came pretty fast on a TBC recipe and at level 100 I got 0 from TBC recipes.

I know, you're all going to say, unlucky RNG, and you're probably right, but within 100 crafts of Crazy Alchemist Potion I got my first 'Discovery!' and within 500 crafts of Crazy Alchemist Potion, I learned all the 'Discovery!' flasks.

I hope this information helps someone.

I just discovered this while transmuting Living Steel (Mists of Pandaria)?

I was transmuting literally 900 bars (Riddle of Steel) and I was about 600ish completed before this discovery proc'ed. Weird? Bug?

Discovering recipes may have changed with Dragonflight. The comments here will tell you you can craft Outland or later recipes to discover these flasks. I crafted hundreds of Mighty Arcane Protection Potions and not a single discovery.

I discovered all of the Outland flasks within a few hundred crafts of 疯狂炼金师药水.
