These are obtained for closing portals during the Dreamsurges event in Dragonflight 10.1.7.
Collecting x20 will create 复苏岩浆猛犸, along the way you'll obtain 梦涌凝珠 for other rewards for the event.

To find portals that are up, check your map every half hour or watch for callouts from others (some smaller portals do not appear on the map). The portals spawn easy-to-kill mobs (see: 烬缚队长) that, once slain, close the portal and reward you with the elemental remains (x1-3).

Edit: You are unable to obtain more drops once you have obtained either the mount or x20 of these remains. So if you are short a few but cannot seem to get any more, check your bank or mailbox as the remainder of the x20 required may be in those locations.

You can receive these each time you kill the elite enemy at the second and final phase of the Dreamsurge event that pops up every 30 minutes.

I received 3 on my first kill, 1 on my second and 2 on my third. It's safe to say you get 2 on average so you'll need to do about 10 Dreamsurges to get the mount.

The Ashbound Captain that spawns from the small Waking Dream portals also drops 1 of these as many times as you kill one. These are small fiery portals that show up everywhere in the currently active Dreamsurge zone. They don't show up on the map so you have to fly around looking for them, then click on them to start the event. You can also use a /target Waking Dream macro to make the search easier. The event ends when the Ashbound Captain spawns and is killed.

Now i just bought the Duskwing Ohuna with the Dreamsurge Coalescence and same thing happened. It is NOT in mount journal!

Mount wont show in your mount journal but u can use /use Renewed Magmammoth to summon your mount

Is anyone getting Charred Elemental remains ? Have done 5 "Bosses" on 1 toon, and 4 other "Bosses" on another, not 1 drop of Charred Remains, trying a 3rd. Last week was very easy, got my 20 charred remains, put all together, no problem, this week, lol, nothing

I don't see anyone mentioning this here, but you can group hop to kill multiple Dreamsurge bosses per time slot.

I searched "Dream" in the custom group finder and a couple groups popped up. I was able to get around 3 kills per slot with this method.
