I crafted these after i got the recipe in raid, how they work is they put you on a rocket and you get a speed boost the longer you remain on it the faster you go until you either hit a mob or the timer runs out the misfires i've had happen are a knockback and a polymorph for 3s

How it works:

On cast, you "mount" the rocket and start moving forward at an increasing pace. It will accelarate to a pretty high speed. You may alter the path by turning or strafing.
If you hit enemies or the buff duration runs out, the rocket explodes and you and all enemies hit will split the damage, as the tooltip says.
If you press jump during the ride, you leave the rocket. If you do this early the rocket slows down almost to a stop but continues on it's path for a little bit before exploding.
If you do it after about 3 seconds, the rocket will continue along the path at full speed and will launch you forward as well.
You may not cast any spells during the ride.
If you fall from a ledge, it will fall with you, and does not propel you forward.

Cooldown: 5 minutes. Shares a cooldown with Potions (like 元素究极强能药水)

Possible Malfunctions:
3 seconds of polymorph
Knockback with some damage
5 seconds of 微缩之误

This and some other crafting receipe in 10.1 require Shadowflame Blacksmithing Anvil to craft. One of the way to find them is at Fyrakk's Assault area.

Ok, let's make this clear. This is a speed boost, not a nuke. Just ignore the damage part. If anything, that's your consolation prize for colliding with something.

Also, it's not for covering a short distance in combat. Nitro Boosts are much better suited to that. Differences being:

Nitro Boosts can't fail in serious content (like M+). You get a 70% speed bonus for 8 sec from them. In the outdoor world, you get a 150% speed bonus for 5 sec, but they can fail. This tinker can probably fail if you aren't a fully talented engineer.
Nitro Boosts induce a 1 minute cooldown on your potions. This tinker induces the full 5.
Nitro Boosts don't need to accelerate, so they work better for short sprints. They also don't stop if you hit a mob, and you can use abilities while boosting. This tinker will get you much farther than Nitro Boosts, but there are probably very few combat cases of wanting to cover this much distance while not pressing abilities.

As the boosts go on your belt, you can have both. Anyway, the use case for this tinker is covering a long distance of simple running, especially in instances where you can't mount. You released, it's a long way back and the whole group is waiting for you? Use these. The group wiped, you can resurrect? Perhaps tell them to not release while you run back much faster with the aid of these. Of course, assuming your potion cooldown isn't super precious, and probably that you're an engineer who can expect them not to fail.

Also, when you're not doing anything important, it might be fun to press them just to watch yourself go zoom. I know I enjoy that, and it gets me some scrap too, thanks to a talent in the Scrapper sub-subtree.

These are extremely useful in Epic BGs like Isle of Conquest and others. It helps you get to your objectives much faster than the enemy at the start of the match. Quite a few ppl use it to gain the upper hand and sometimes it tilts the battle in our favor right from the start.

This is utterly worthless garbage. I bought the wrists with the tinker-slot just for this with highest crafting, so that I could have fun with faster boost run(or should I say fly).
Once you use it and try using your abilities at thesame time, it gets interrupted. If you use towards mobs, then it explodes as the side-effect, i think. It looked that way though.

Stick to the classic nitro-boost if you want to have fun speeding. The Thinker item is not worth it. I'm gonna go for offence instead.

Edit: The classic boost seems to be really slow now. :(

Amazing tinker to have. OP in pvp and running old raids. It resets on every boss kill.
