Master's dragon slayer orb, might be better, simply has -5 less dmg and with really good stats, makes up for that 5 dmg.

This now costs 7000 honor points and 25 AV marks in patch 2.0.1 with the new honor system. This does slighty less damage than the other school-specific offhands and has no stats, but the increase in damage is applied to all schools.

This flower is a reference to Therazane the Stonemother, who is one of the four Elemental Lords who fought for the Old Gods against the Titans. She is said to be patient, loving, and motherly. The most peaceful of the four lieutenants in the elemental armies, Therazane may also be the Earthmother worshipped by both Tauren and the Wildhammer Dwarves. Another item named in her honor is Therazane's Link.
Her only known relation is her daughter Princess Theradras, the final boss in Maraudon.

This and the other AV offhands are nearly identical in their itemization today, but were all completely different pre-BC.
This is the only item that kept its original itemization.

Since the 6.0 squish, int and spellpower are essentially the same. It makes this off-hand seriously powerful for stacking spellpower (int). It could realistically last you through Outland and maybe Wrath. If you're not too worried about secondary stats, of course.
