This item should absolutely not be at this vendor for these tokens. Last content you could get them from korthia farming the currency there. Now they will be locked behind the vault rewards, and only if you choose the tokens over other items. They seem to be underestimating how many casuals they have. I don't want to be forced to do raids or mythics. Don't even get me started on pvp since they destroyed that way back when. This item should be easily accessible by all, like it had been since the start of this xpac.

This item replaces Season 2 合金扭曲刻面仪, which replaced Season 1 空间重组装置.
You can purchase this item from 科·图尔 in Oribos near the Great Vault.

It requires 6 侍神者的功绩奖币, which are a reward from the Great Vault.
Every week, you can choose to forfeit your rewards for 6 of those tokens instead.

A decent compensation when your rewards aren't all that great!

But what if I want to add socket to a season 2 item, and not to season 3?
E.g., for some speed-walk set, in which I have a season 2 item with +36 speed, and I want to add socket for 跨界贤者玛瑙石.

For anyone as dense as I am, "Season 3 Shadowlands gear" is not limited to PvP or Mythic+ gear. This item works on raid gear (including items from the World boss and items converted though the Creation Catalyst). It looks like it can even be used of Cypher Equipment as these items were highlighted in my bag when I used it on a raid item. I'm sure there are some crazies out there that could test that.

For some reason, this item cannot be used on 262 crafted items.

When we buy this item, we get in-game warning: "Your purchase is not refundable". And this warning is correct: attempt to sell this item back leads to error message that "The merchant doesn't want that item".
So, unlike many other refundable items which we buy for some currency, this item indeed relates to the group of non-refundable examples.

For anyone wondering, the season 4 version is Fated Matter Fractalizer, sold by the same vendor, for half the cost (3 Attendant's Token of Merit instead of 6)
