This mount is obtained from clicking the untargetable NPC 闪雾奔行者 near the treasure location Tamed Gladerunner at Mistveil Tangle - Ardenweald (26.35, 59.00). The Runner is being Subdued by 希兹格尔 you have to defeat him to obtain the mount.

希兹格尔 respawn time: couple of mins

To engage 希兹格尔 you have to go through the maze at Mistveil Tangle in a specific path.
A scroll hanging from a tree at (32.46 52.98) tells you how to do the maze. The blue lamps at each gateway indicate where you have to go.
Reading the scroll is not mandatory!
Below the steps to go through the maze. This imgur album shows every step with the map on which way to go.

Enter the Maze in Oaken Assembly on (31.04, 54.51).
On the 1st intersection at (29.60, 55.76) go LEFT/SOUTH-EAST.
On the 2nd intersection at (30.02, 57.49) go RIGHT/SOUTH-WEST.
On the 3rd intersection at (29.56, 57.91) go LEFT/SOUTH.
On the 4th intersection at (29.31, 59.10) go RIGHT/NORTH-WEST.
On the 5th intersection at (28.82, 58.71) go FORWARD/NORTH-WEST.
On the 6th and last intersection at (27.56, 57.85) go LEFT/WEST into the Area.
You can now engage 希兹格尔.

I solo'd 希兹格尔 at level 60 as a Feral Druid with an avg ilvl of 135 (will be harder for classes without self healing or pets).
He will use three abilities where you can interrupt one. His abilities are:

Pantsed!: 30% Movement speed slow/10% Damage taken.
Swift Slash: DoT effect.
Shrink (Interruptable): 15% Damage reduction.

After defeating 希兹格尔 you can click 闪雾奔行者 and the mount 闪雾奔行者 will be put in your bags.

闪雾奔行者 is the reward for encounter in 炽蓝仙野.

Location: 26.56 59.22

There are two mobs you can see from afar at the spot - 希兹格尔 and 闪雾奔行者.
Unfortunately they disappear when you get close if you didnt use specific path through the maze.

Roguezs made an awesome post and there's almost nothing to add, only need to notice the place is quite dangerous.
There are multiple elite mobs along the path and rather make no stop there (and pray to do not get dazed).
You may bring potions of invisibility to skip some mobs, it might help but I guess it not.
Also beware 冷酷的瓦尔菲尔 if someone left it with no buff so it will attack on sight.

Soloed on a lvl 58 Druid tank. It was doable, but it took a hot long while. As long as you avoid the other elites in the area and make use of armor/healing spells, you'll get it fine. You can stealth through the entirety of the maze, too.

If the mobs keep disappearing when you enter the last room of the maze, it means some step was not properly done. To reset the maze you should go at start point at (31.04, 54.51) and run again inside the maze zone, making sure you follow the blue lamps. The route is thoroughly explained by Roguezs in the comments above.

For me the case was that when I went to the zone to start the maze I died from the Elite mobs outside the maze, and released inside the maze. This messed up the phase of the zone and so 希兹格尔 would disappear when i aproached him, whether i did the correct route or not. After some tries I just walked out of the maze (around 33, 55 should be just fine) and then walked in, was able to phase correctly when completing the maze and engage 希兹格尔.

I would also like to comment that you can carry a friend with you in a 2-seated mount during the whole process. He will also be able to see the boss, kill it with you and loot the mount.

Just did this myself and my friend joined discord as I was doing it, so i finished and went to show him how to do it (the path etc). This was only 2-5 minutes after my kill/claim and sure enough it was waiting there for him. Im not sure if that means the spawn timer has been removed, if we encountered a bug or just got lucky. On the second run (for my friend) there was a nasty trio of Dustwilt Needlers that were pretty powerful for us in full heroic gear - keep this in mind if you plan to solo. I had to taunt the Needlers away while my friend fought Shizgher.

So after I've tried this for half an hour, I finally succeeded in having Shizgher spawn.
I ran the way just as shown in a video on youtube but the mob never appeared to me (and the horse vanished). I tried relogging and everything. What did the drick for me was leaving the zone and coming back into it. I ran the way up all the way to the previous zone until the different zone name appeared on top of my mini map. Only then did I run back to do the labyrinth all over again, and I was happily surprised to see Shizgher spawn just as he is supposed to do.

He had something around 130k hp, which was no problem for me in tank specc (just took a while) but I guess I wouldn't have been able to solo him with WW Monk just yet as he deals a bit of dmg.

So if its bugging for you and reloading/restarting the game does not work for you either, try to leave and re-enter the zone :-)
Tipp: there is a mushroom on the main-way too, so get your invisibility to not getting combat with the rare elite walking up and down the path

You don't need to be lv 60 to interact with the Runner that gives you the mount after killing the rare. Shizgher is lv 60, though.

I camouflaged through this as a lvl 60 hunter and managed to run through without getting seen and in under 1 minute. Use the waypoints below and it's super easy. Just be sure you know which way you're going before you walk over the waypoint and make it disappear off your map.

Just solo'd the boss as a 147 Fury Warrior. Just interrupt the Shrink and use your damage absorb cooldowns.

For everyone struggling to complete the maze without getting bashed by the mobs: 一撮妖精之尘 makes you fly for 2 minutes.It's a high rate drop from mobs in the questing area near heart of the forest. Just fly through the maze in the right order! :)

Soloed as bm hunter lvl 57 ilvl 117.
You need to get there alive or it would not spawn.
Used Hati, spirit beast, keep healing and droping threat usig fd.
Took a while but managed to do it.
After killing it you have to click the horsey to get the mount.

I found the way points to be a little weird as tom-tom sometimes doesn't put them in order. After running thru twice and dying, I was really just sick of running back to my body. Because of that, what I did was the following and made it SUPER-SIMPLE.

1. Get to entrance
2. As other people have said, you run in and follow the blue lamps, if you do this, very very easy.
3. If you run thru and die, I would highly encourage you to NOT rez once back at your body, but instead, give it 1 run-thru as a ghost (you should still be able to differentiate the path(I was)). Once I did a run thru as a ghost, I went back to my body, ran to entrance and began again and made it my first try (after dry run as ghost).

Just wanted to add that I made it through the maze and was fighting Shizgher with another player (they were horde, I'm Alliance). I actually died when he was at about 6% hp. I thought for sure I lost my chance at getting the mount. I got back to my body, Shizgher was dead, hordie was sitting there on the mount, and Shimmermist Runner was still lootable. So you can still get the mount if you die and someone else is there and kills Shizgher it seems. =)

I was not able to see the maze at all. I went to the noted starting point as per Roguezs post and upon entering the area nothing changed. There was no maze, no lights, nothing. Still just that roaming massive rare and a few npc's hanging around.

I reloaded UI, I relogged, I left the area and came back, nothing worked. I could see a guy running around so I followed him. I was aware of a noise that sounded like I'd hit something, or just one of those 'You've done it wrong' sounds so I figured I'd hit a maze wall or something.

I was about to just give it up as bugged and I wondered what would happen if I just followed Roguezs waypoints, so I tried. I just set the waypoint, followed to the spot, set the next waypoint, rinse and repeat. I got none of those odd 'wrong' sounds so I thought either it wasn't doing anything or I hadn't hit a 'wall'. I kept going to the last waypoint and just turned and ran the last few yards into the area where the Shimmermist Runner appears.

Shizgher was there, I killed him and clicked on the Runner and got the mount.

While I was typing this up, a warrior rocked up and Shiz had respawned so I helped get him down (you owe me one, Exileceltic).

Maybe after doing this run so many times for the mount has made me feel like this is real but I have some speculation with the mount.

If you constantly keep seeing the white unicorn despawning in front of you and you feel like you didn't do any of your pathing incorrect this might be a possible explanation to that.

After you pass Valfir and take the first left you see a bunch of long lanky dudes and, at the right turn (where you are supposed to turn next), the long lanky dude right next to that passageway will either have a mushroom next to him, nothing or a wildseed. In every video I have seen and on my personal completed run he had a wildseed next to him. I speculate that the long lanky dude must have the wildseed next to him for you to get the mount because after going through the maze in the correct way every single time and the horse despawning, when the wildseed spawned I got through it just fine. This is just speculation though and I'd love for people to prove me wrong but if I am correct I hope this aids some confused people like myself.

Note: I have no addons installed, I would go to the entrance of the maze every time I failed so as to reset my run, I was not in a party or raid.

This is a really straight forward mount to obtain, was able to two-man the rare with a friend.

In Tirna Scithe there's a maze (the same one from the dungeon) and in the middle of it is a rare with a horse next to it who disappear when you get close, for them to not disappear you have to go through a set of archways in a particular order and then you can kill the rare and interact with the horse to obtain the mount.

Hi all

Small guide How to get 闪雾奔行者 in 炽蓝仙野. You can get this mount in 10 min O_o, You need to kill 1 rare mob but to get to him you have to go through the maze in the right way in Mistveil Tangle. I add My Video, You can see in 2 modes path first is normal 2nd is death mode ( is no mobs and you can ease see with gate you need to move to plan it ).

Step 1 -

You need to do it in specific path. You have 7 correct gates they are lit with a bright white light. Don't fight with any mobs just get to the and how fast you can ( is to many mobs most rare and solo you can die )

Very important If You will do it wrong You need to start from Gate 1.

Start:
1 Gate - 30.9 54.6 go straight
2 Gate - 29.6 56.1 on left
3 Gate - 29.9 57.7 first on right
4 Gate - 29.4 58.5 first on left
5 Gate - 29.0 58.9 first on right
6 Gate - 28.2 58.1 third gate from the left
7 Gate - 27.1 58.2 2nd gate from left

After last gate will be a large square if you able to see 希兹格尔 it means that you did it correctly. Next to him will be 闪雾奔行者.

Step 2:

Now you need to kill 希兹格尔 I done it solo I think every one can do it solo ( dont use fear on Him He can get out side mape and restart I Had like that xD ). When you will kill Him press on 闪雾奔行者 and in your bag will land 闪雾奔行者.

You can get this mount in 10 min

Completing the maze and then inviting someone else to your party after will not enable them to see Shizgher. They still need to complete the maze themselves.

Its important to note that, you should click "Tail of the Tangle" and it is located at /way 32.46, 52.98 it is a plaque (light blue in colour). If you dont do this u cant go the maze.

So is this super glitchy for anyone else? I died on one of my first tries through the maze and when I returned to the entrace to pick up the blue mist again the blue mist wouldn't apply and I haven't been able to get it to since then

Extra point to add:
If you have activated Threads of Fate the elites in this area and the rare scale to your level. I just completed this on a level 52 druid, and the elites and the rare were both level 52.

First you have to read the note at 32.54, 53.05
Then go to the maze entrance in Oaken Assembly 31.04, 54.51
Take the first left and walk into the Bounding Shrooms to get stealth so the mobs don't attack you
Look for the blue gems near the gates as that is the path to take, purple means the wrong one
If the boss despawns just as you walk in you either haven't read the note or took a wrong path and you need to start again
If you fail the boss his respawn timer is roughly 72 mins

If you're having this bug where you failed the maze once and now the blue mists isn't coming back on your toon, this is a purely visual bug. Just do the maze as you would normally and it should work just fine!

TomTom waypoints in reverse order. You can enter them using the Paste addon like this. This way, the last waypoint entered is the first one that will show, then the subsequent ones will activate as you cross each one in order. Makes running the maze very easy:

Not sure if it's just me but when I use Paste to throw all the coordinates into TomTom they're always backwards, so here they are in reverse order so it shows up right for people:

I just wanted to add, there's a world quest, "A Night in the Woods" that brings the wild hunt right through Shizgher's place. I was working him down slowly but I'm a low ilvl mage and worry about being too squishy. Suddenly, a horde of faeries burst into the clearing along with some players and there were mobs everywhere - but suddenly Shizgher's health was going down faster and then he was dead! :-) For awhile I still had agro but when I cast mirror images agro shifted to a pally player. Not sure if the wild hunt takes the correct route through the maze and the players automatically phase correctly, or if me having successfully engaged Shizgher in combat made him attackable by others. Whatever, mount received.

So today I tried for the mount and after reading the comments here, I realized I needed to run the maze correctly. Earlier when I did I never saw the Shiz and that's what got me reading info here. I know the maze needs to be ran in the order of the "blue" globes and I even copy/pasted the /way points from here. After running through those points and making sure it was exactly like 3 of the last videos, I finally she Shiz but even he disappears when I get 1/2 way to him. There's no way I'm running it wrong unless the paths change and the /way points here and the videos are wrong. Anyone else seeing this or is there something else I'm missing and yes I click the sign before running the maze...?

Follow Up! So I was using the way points from below but only one set had GATE #1 which is right after the sign before the big Rare. So I went back and reread the sign and ran the maze again starting from gate #1 and first time through.....BINGO, I got me one purty horsey! Arms Warrior lvl 60 w/168 gear and I was barely able to kill Shizzer and thats was using potions. Prot would have been the better choice facing a 177k health mob!

That was very usable and easy learning the path where you need to go thru for me... But I found that in the video you can see only 6 gate and there is missing "The first GATE" - At coords->30.9 54.6 where you should start.

I killed Shizgher SOLO with a level 58 balance druid with ilvl 126. Just use Entangling Roots and get out of his reach cause he only melee and then heal yourself, and use Regrowth when fighting.

Zone: Ardenweald - Mistveil Tangle
Coordinates: 32.5 51.9 - Start Point

To get the Mount 闪雾奔行者 you have to go through the maze-like Mistveil Tangle west of Root-home. It's best to exit Root-home north, directly past the flight master.
Follow the path and then turn left. From far away you can already see the passage from where you can start.
On the left after the passage is a note on the tree, the 缠结传说. After you have read it you can start. Turn around and go through the passage directly opposite.
It is important to walk the right way now. There are 1-2 lamps at each passage, they have to glow blue, not red.
After the first passage, follow the path to the left, then to the right, then left again, then to the right, then straight ahead (the right of the two passages) and then through the left passage you see.
Now you have to defeat 希兹格尔. After that you can click 闪雾奔行者 and you will get 闪雾奔行者.

Here are the waypoints:

Just a FYI: I had the Wild Hunt from the WQ A Night in the Forest show up right in the middle of my fight with Shizgher, it did not interfere with my fight at all and was able to finish it & get the mount. Admittedly I was very careful not to aggro any of the WQ targets but still just wanted to let you know that you can get it done while quest is up.

So I'm finding I can't do this if the "A Night in the Woods" WQ is active in this area. I've run through the maze several times, read the note, etc etc. No Shizgher. So if you find yourself not being able to complete it check to see if the WQ is active.

First. THANK YOU for the screenshots showing entrance to maze and the recommendations about not using red lights but to follow the blue. A piece of advice for all to follow which I did not see? Watch out for the Hunt and pay attention to the dialogue. Let me tell you my tale of woe.

I followed the path. As a Boomkin I was able to stealth around the mobs. I see the target - such an AMAZING beautiful mount! There is my elite I have to kill! Piece of cake!

Zarkin: Be on your Guard, Lumera. This is a dangerous patrol for a novice huntress.
Lumera: I am up to the task, sir. No challenge too daunting.
Zarkin: We will see about that. Leithfor, you take point.

OK so the Hunt is activating...no worries. I attack and begin to DPS battle with DPS. I am watching my health, knowing I just need to be alive when this trouble maker goes down! The Mount is MINE!

Lumera: Look! Refugees!
Zarkin: Lumera! No! Stay Back!
Lumera: An Illusion...and I fell for it.

No worries, no one dies in that portion of the Hunt anyways... Wait did this Elite just shrink me? HAH! You have to do better than that! I tune them out and burn this little mongrel down to 10%..I do not bother healing - because I am at 50%... I can still hear the dialogue in the background....then I do not.

Next thing I know I am surrounded by one pissed off Elite Gladestalker, a frenzied Elite Wader, and three Elite Dustwilt Needlers! What does the oh so trustful Hunt do? MOVE ON.

That's right. They left my poor boomkin ass in the middle of that mess with 50% health and nowhere to go.

BEWARE THE HUNT....and burn that Elite down as fast as you can!

I highly suggest you get this mount while the elite world quest Terrors in Tirna Scithe is active.
Hordes of players are obliterating the elites mobs throughout the day in the area which makes it a breeze to run through the maze.

I have spent three days running this maze over and over using waypoints, walkthroughs, video guides. I have tried leaving the area and coming back, reading the banner, and I cannot get the NPC to stay. I have tried running it as a ghost to make sure I am doing the right way. The only thing I can think of is that me dying while running the maze is messing it up, but at the same time my friend ran the maze and kept dying and she had no problem. I have even run the maze in reverse to make sure I went the right way, nothing seems to work. I cant seem to find where the error is, if there even is one.

Has anyone else had this problem? I am currently in the UK so none of my guild is available to run it with me and at this point I feel like I am losing my mind.

If you are solo, and keep dying while trying to get inside the maze because of all the elite ghosts, and you are a clothie like me, do this:
-Read that note on the tree to "start" at 32, 53
-Mount, run across the "Assembly" area. Angle your way across the "Assembly" area and try not to attract every mob in the Assembly area because you don't want to get dismounted.
-Hopefully still mounted, keep going INTO the maze.. yes in.
-Go ahead and make that FIRST turn left and die at 29,56 by the Bounding Duskshroom (I linked it here, so you can see what they look like, they are purple and have flowing purple smoke)
The Bounding Duskshroom is a buff mushroom that "jumps" you in the air. (you become "undetectable" in this maze.. but just die first.. its important!)
-After you die, run all the way back and res by your body but BE CAREFUL of the circle looking smoke which are druids which will kill you, and the Shifting Boggart behind you (if someone else didnt already kill it). Res when its safe, kill the Shifting Boggart, and then run back to the entrance/start point at 31,54 to start the maze for real.
-After you start "for real" this time, make your way back to the Bounding Duskshroom, and run on it. It will bounce you in the air and make you undetectable (even to elites) all the way though the last couple turns of the maze.

YOU STILL need to follow the correct path even though you are now undetectable in the maze.

-Defeat Shizgher, get your mount.

If you die while fighting Shizgher, you can run back, res, and start the fight again.

Currently, I am a lvl 60 Affliction Lock, with iLevel 144 homemade gear and 23k health. You can solo Shizgher! Wasnt hard at all as a Lock. This is what i did:

Command your Voidwalker to attack Shizgher, then IMMEDIATELY command the Voidwalker to STAY right next to Shimmermist. Its important to command your pet to STAY because Shizgher does a Shadowstep like attack and your pet will follow. If your pet aggros the nearby yellow elite druids, you are scr3wed.
Start your lock dots, and some Drain Life... HEAL your Voidwalker! and you got it.

good luck!

Oh and PS: after you win your mount, there is no magic "thing" to get you back to "safety" out of the maze.. at least i didnt see anything. Just hearth, or you will need to run through that darn Assembly area again and wrack up more repair bills.

Just did this in Druid guardian spec. He only cast Shrink on me. Interrupt it when you can, but some will come before Skull Bash is off CD.

Warning: The Wild Hunt world quest group will enter into this area and spawn a bunch of mobs. I died the first time because I immediately pulled aggro on the whole group while fighting Shizgher, so stay close to the back edge to avoid that group. Second time, they came in and were fighting but I was at the back edge and so they left me alone. Can confirm that you can rez and re-engage Shizgher after dying without needing to do that maze again.

I solo'ed Shizgher as a level 51 Feral Druid with only 66 ilvl. I used Incarnation: King of the Jungle when using Convoke the Spirits to do a lot of damage, but to keep myself alive I pretty much had to use my heals whenever I could (always using all 5 combo points on one Rip and rest of the time on Ferocious Bite to trigger a 100% Predatory Swiftness so I could heal in cat form). Besides that I tried to use my other cooldowns like Survival instincts, Mighty Bash(talent) and Tiger's Fury. I could had used Convoke the Spirits a second time as well but he was nearly dead so I kind of forgot it in the end while trying to survive.
Worth to add I forgot to use Barkskin and I didn't have the talent Renewal which could had been a huge help (I had Tiger Dash instead which doesn't help the fight since he is always jumping back on you when you try to run away). I had the talent Restoration Affinity which gives Swiftmend and that helps a lot in this fight as well while keeping yourself alive

Someone mentioned he is best to solo with a class that has heal or a pet and I have to agree with this, I wouldn't had been able to solo him with this crappy charachter if it didn't have heal, I barely survived.

Follow the blue lamps from the first entryway and all the way to the end. If u die midway u have to restart, then run bk out and bk in following the blue lamps/lamp again from the start.

Anybody else noticed that the two npcs are going to disappear if you get close to them?

I cant target or see them in the game. They disappear suddenly when I get close.

Soloed on my Level 60, iLvl 198 Arcane Mage. Don't forget to interrupt him when you can.
Note: All of my gear is from leveling, none of it is from dungeons/raid/pvp.

I tried it on my Level 60, iLvl 145 Arcane Mage the first time and got slaughtered.

REMEMBER: BLIZZARD HATES CLOTHIES!

Hey guys!

As of this date a lot of the quests and stuff are bugged if you're on a flying mount. Do the maze with a non-flying capable mount and you'll get it!

You can now fly through the gates, following the route shown in the videos above. Surprisingly, despite flying quite close to several mobs, I did not aggro any. I just flew through each gate, gained a little height away from mobs to find my bearings, and continued on to one of the easiest mounts ever (Shizger is a fairly trivial fight at this point in the xpac).

Easy peazy. Read the thing at /way 32.46, 52.98, then proceed all the gates that have a blue, NOT RED, light or don't have a light at all. then you find the Shimmermist Runner next to an NPC you gotta kill.

You can use a flying mount to prevent aggro'ing mobs.

In case anyone wonders, the game will allow you to do this while flying. I just did it on my Druid in flight form.

(I previously did it on the ground on my Demon Hunter. Yeah, flying definitely makes it easier.)

There is something wrong with this mount's gait. The hips pivot in a weird place and the femur rides up like it's not completely attached.

Easy mount if you have flying. Just follow the instructions on the other posts. The boss at the end is soloable for most classes.

I used a flying mount through the whole thing, I just stayed near the ground. If you go through a wrong gate, it will make a noise and you have to start over.
Follow the blue lanterns-they will not always be up, some are on the ground.

got this beauty on my pretty poorly geared guardian druid on oct 28 2022, (148 item level), no sweat at all.

follow the youtube maze map (it's only like 4-5 turns), keep interrupting Shrink, use your shields + self heals. he doesn't hit hard at all. your basic druid abilities are more than enough to overpower him.

it'll take a few minutes (i think it took me about 4), but you'll get there!

this mount requires lvl 45 to be able "consume" this to learn to ride.

So easy now. Got it in 5 minutes including travel from Org. Just go to first gate in Ardenweald at /way 32.46 52.98 and mount a flying mount. Each 'gate' has little light next to it or none at all. Look for the white/bluish light and only that color then pass through that gate to the next one. You are there in about 6 gates. Kill the NPC that is hostile then click the pretty horsey to 'tame' ;-)

Soloed at lvl 20 and Free trial.
NPC 希兹格尔 was lvl 20 and 12K HP , defeated him with my Druid Tank. Mount Item is lvl45.
