One of the best spots to farm this is at 49 32 (where Blood Queen Lana'thel spawns). Fast mob respawn in a fairly small area, not hard to kill. Easy farming, especially in a group.

Recommend to save these until the end of pre-patch event. You'll get some better gear from the icecrown rares. Use these to spot-fill the pieces you've missed just before SL launch.

Cult Researchers, 6kish hp and a good drop rate.

They're inside a structure nearish queen lanathel's spawn (up the stairs and on the left), entrance is @ 51,33

I have found the best place to farm Scourgestones is the saronite mines in the middle of the Vrykul village Ymirheim. There's tons of weak skeleton npcs in there that you can pull in large packs and beat easily. They respawn fast, it's in a tight place so you don't have to run around too much and they can drop the blue scourgestones too. Plus it's in the middle of the zone so you can quickly fly to any rare that comes up.

They seem to stay in the bag as of patch 9.0.2 (Shadowlands release) but I doubt they're useful anymore since the pre-patch event ended with the release of SL... anyone?
