I hope these are able to be used to get the tokens for alts if you already have all your classes legendary items.

You cant get essences if you already have all 1000 legendaries, theres a work around where you can buy a 940/970 crafted legendary to get the essence quest (dont have to equip).

So just buy a 940/970 crafted legendary and pick up the quest on any toons where you cant get essence on to start gathering essence for next patch. Doesnt have to be the same armor type (leg just has to be in your inventory to get the quest)

Update: 8.0 Players may now directly purchase the legendary of their choosing on a character that has the essence. After a hotfix, players may also buy any random class legendary token.

Things to note about this item:

It is bought from the same npc that offered 泰坦级研究 in Dalaran's forge.
Obtaining this item DOES NOT reset your current bad luck protection for a legendary. (blue post 404'd, screenshot of it)
It IS NOT Bind to Account. This is intentional by Blizzard.
泰坦级研究 is now redundant. Essence is merely acquired by everyone now.
This item currently costs 1000 觉醒精华. However, essence gains are also six times higher.
Assume that approximately one of these can be purchased per week on a character that is willing to do the content, based on average essence gained per week.
The legendary received will prioritize your current loot specialization, then a random legendary for your class if you own all legendaries for that spec, then a random bind to account legendary token for ANY CLASS (ie: 手工青玉机关盒)

Question: I already have all the legendaries for my priest, I just don't have Aman'Thuls Vision. Will the token allow me to have that legendary? Or is it going to be an exception?

Note that 提纯的泰坦精华 will allow you to obtain any legendary for your specialization/class EXCEPT for:

阿曼苏尔的预见 - This legendary is only available as a drop from 寂灭者阿古斯 on Normal difficulty or higher.
大军之印 - This legendary is only available as quest reward from the 安托鲁斯，燃烧王座：泰坦陨落, which requires that you kill 寂灭者阿古斯.
塞露布拉，暗夜的双子, 哨兵的永恒庇护所, 警戒栖木 and 瑞苏的不竭勇气 - These legendaries are crafted and are only available from players of the appropriate professions.

Below are the number of essences you can obtain from various activities:

Further notes:

觉醒精华 drops in all difficulties of 安托鲁斯，燃烧王座, LFR included.
There is a per-boss lockout for this currency in the Antorus raid - as such, if looted from a specific boss on a particular difficulty, it cannot be looted from that boss on any other difficulty.
This means clearing the raid on multiple difficulties will not provide any more 觉醒精华s than clearing it once a week.

The 觉醒精华 you earn from the first PvP Brawl win each day is in addition to those you earn from the first Random Battleground win each day.
If you participate in ALL of the above listed activities every week, you can obtain between 1,032 and 1,566 觉醒精华s per week (average 1,299). This will allow you to upgrade a maximum of 3-4 legendaries per week, or obtain roughly 1 new legendary per week.

The rate of obtaining 觉醒精华s is slightly higher in Patch 7.3.5, due to the addition of 30 essences for the first battleground win of the day and for the first PvP Brawl win of the day.
If only participating in PvE activities, the maximum amount earnable each week is 696 to 1,020 per week.

In the official 7.3.5 patch notes from Blizzard it stated that this item would cost 175 as it was originally planned. In less than 24 hours they changed it back to 1000.

This does NOT always give spec specific legendaries first, so be warned. This week, mine gave me Aggramar's Stride, and I've only 2 of the Blood DK specific legendaries.

1000 for this is pretty crazy. I guess it's kind of their way to make up for the whole RNG thing when it comes to getting legendaries (I have several 110's, play them all equally and the difference between the amount of legendaries they have and the quality is insane).

I like Legion but this was really the worst xpac ever for playing alts and this really doesn't make up for it imo.

Since I still can't find it anywhere else on this page, the NPC that sells (Arcanomancer Vridiel) these is in the Blacksmithing/Mining building in Dalaran (44.5, 29.2). You have to go through two menus to the "Let me browse your goods" sub-menu in order to purchase the item.

I've had all leggos for my main for a long time as well as many useless tokens for other classes.

Got a few thousand of the essences collecting dust, if I buy Purified Titan Essences can it proc legendaries for the same class / spec I'm on to give an alt of the same class? If not I might as well just write them off as another forgotten currency.

I thought after I got all of my class legendaries that this would give me legendaries for my alts, why do I keep getting druid legendaries? I don't have a druid. I've done three of these and a few of those random ones from world quests.

This seems to have been removed in 8.0 which means my toons i was using to buy legendaries for alts now have no use for Wakening Essence. I got 1000 wakening essence from my mythic plus cache on 3 tanks with all their legendaries, I am now unable to buy anything with the essence.
