My crystal ball says that this will be gathered using random drops off the end boss on Normal -> Mythic Antorus. 100 withered titan essence. Similar to how you could upgrade your legendary ring in Warlords using Crystalized Fel

Do... do you think we'll need to do the 970 upgrade as well? I was kind of hoping my characters with 940s still, could get a 1000 boost instead of going through the 970 step. When is this going live? I don't see this quest in WoW, at the moment.

It seems you can start collecting Wakening Essences before you get to A Titanic Effort - I already had four.

Listing the sources (most personally experienced, some not as yet)... will be grateful for any additions/modifications as we go.

M+ weekly cache : 20 (weekly)
Emissary chests : 4-7 (daily)
Daily legion heroic dungeon : 5 (daily)
Antorus bosses : 4-5 once per week per boss (weekly)
PVP (according to wowhead): Awarded on the first 3 Rated Battlegrounds wins and 10 Rated Arena wins

NOT awarded from the invasions or greater invasions
NOT from the Paragon chests, which was a tad disappointing
NOT from previous raids (including ToS)

Edit.. let me be the first to point out that this info is about to become outdated very soon. Come 7.3.5 and the introduction of Purified Titan Essence, the drop rate is supposed to increase (from current listed sources) with additional sources (for example from first daily battleground win).

I somehow managed to get a Essence, however I cant find a legendary to upgrade. Submitting a ticket left me with no answer, they just told me to file a bug report. Been days now, starting to shiver.

Does anyone know , if you hand in this quest and essentially "purchase" a legendary does this reset the legendary failsafe? Like should i wait until i get a random legendary drop, then purchase a legendary with this item, or what?

-I have a few legionaries i still want so I really want to maximize this..

The ingame item doesn't say Legion legendary. Idk why i cant make my mop cloak il 1000. Would be great.

So i have this in my bag after latest patch that would be 8.0

Nothing i have in gear or bag can be upgraded, dont understand how it works. Have tried to upgrade all my gear but says That item cant be modified.

Is there any use for it? If so how do i use it?
