Hello fellow cake fiends! I received this hilarious trinket from our friend Trilliax tonight. Here are some quick observations:

Placing the cake does not trigger a Global Cooldown, so if you don't want to concern yourself with the placement every 120 seconds, you could macro it to another ability.
The cake recipient does not need to click the cake, they just need to walk near it at some point during the 12-second duration. The radius seems to be about 10 yards.
If you place the cake in near group of people, all the charges will be expended immediately, though the cake's model does remain on the ground for awhile still.
The cake caster is credited with the cake shield as healing done, just like most other shields. According to the combat log, the spell is 美味蛋糕！

Well, i got this drop a couple of days ago and nobody in the raid really wanted it and i wanted to try it out due to a glance i did over the Sacred Shielding spreadsheet (https://sacredshielding.wordpress.com/2017/01/17/the-joy-of-spreadsheeting/#more-2947). Honestly, it's not bad at all. I'm always near melee cause i run devo aura as a holy pally and this baby gives out an instant 5 person (feels like it bugs out and sometimes gives out more) 800k shield at ilvl 885; pretty massive for o snap moments. Just drop it and itll spread like herpes. Normally recount sets it at over 6% - 8% of my total healing just from the 'on use'. I'm not a hardcore player but by observation its similar to running judgement of light or aura of mercy (6% - 8% of a player's healing during a raid, mega rough estimate). Give it a shot. For mythics + it has saved the partys bum numerous times all the way to +16 mythics.

With the buff, this trinket is insanely good. The heroic version has healed more than my Prydaz on certain fights. It truly shines on fights like Krosus and Chromatic Anomaly. Wish it had a lower cooldown cause more often than not I can only put it down for 2 or 3 times, but I guess if it was a lower cooldown it'd be too OP. If you have this trinket--use it! It's sort of like a mini healing cooldown.

Even if you do not wish to use this trinket on any given boss, one delicious perk it offers is that you can still effectively "pre-pot" it by using the cake just before pulling a boss, then immediately switching to your preferred trinket.

The advantage conferred is that the 美味蛋糕！ buff persists even after you switch out the trinket. This is useful on bosses that begin with up-front raid damage like Elisande / Gul'dan, and should be lossless unless you're activating two on-use trinkets at the start of an encounter.

So don't shard your Cakes if you have someone in raid who doesn't have one! Unless this sliced into the ground like specs switching gear right before a pull for earlier-tier set bonuses, it's nice to start encounters like that with some raid-wide shielding - potentially giving your healers a little more freedom on mana and/or CD usage for later and ostensibly more challenging portions of the encounter.

Used this trinket during the Black Temple Timewalking raid. Cake gave ~7,000 shields, which at level 70 is pretty sweet.
