Why is this trinket extremely weak compared to other dungeon/WQ trinkets? Not sure if its meant that way

Just picked this up at 865 and can confirm the AoE does the damage it says in it's tooltip.

Although like the previous commenters stated it actually makes it hard to see when you're in tight confined spaces and the proc goes off (looks like it's going to kill you not the enemy!).

Very odd thing is that unless there are many mobs scattered around, this trinket feels quite underpowered at the moment. Hopefully some type of fix from Blizzard will change that.

All in all, a decent trinket that will get hopefully fixed/changed.

Indeed this trinket needs some fixing... low dmg.. bad mechanical, the tornado expands in helical that grows by the time... making it less practical.. also if your targets moves it just goes to waste.

Imo it should be bonded with your target like old druids cyclone somewhat effect , and have an increase at damage.

As of today October 26th playing as Arcane Mage, it's hitting for 12k-14k and crit for 27711 on one of my tests.

I agree with the others that its pretty awful if your target moves from the initial area. "OK" for raid AOE's if you can't get anything else. It at least has that 1233 Intellect right?

Hoping for a buff to this!

Assassination Rogue artifact trait "Poison Bomb" counts as a ranged nature spell and procs this trinket. Did 3.15 million dmg total on Heroic Xavius @ about 3% of my total dmg

A bit underrated for stationary bosses with extremely large hitboxes. The cyclones move around quite a lot, causing you to miss out on most of its damage potential in many situations (small - regular sized hitboxes, boss movement). I found it to work best on Nythendra, Guarm, and especially Wrath of Azshara, in ideal situations the proc can be up to ~8% of my damage, which is extremely good for a main stat trinket. In heavy movement fights it sucks though, can be as little as 1% of even less. But if you happen to get a high ilvl Twisting Wind, I recommend trying it at the bosses I mentioned above first instead of immediately disenchanting it :P

This thing procs very very hiigh. One boss fight I had 4 out there at one time. But the dps is horrible. Looking over the numbers its avg hit is 1x. Sometimes if the mob doesnt move itll hit 3 to 4 times but its rare.
And yeah like most have said even when it hits its so low it doesnt really matter anyway.

Its Item lv is a 910 so they still havent hot fixxed this yet since. 7.3

On my 110 hunter alt, (1.2 mil dps) this ilvl 910 trinket crits ~60% of the time and makes up 5-7% of total damage running 50-60k dps.
