The text reads "creeps towards the target" so I had assumed that the Ichor moved slowly like the old shadow priest apparitions but it's actually quite fast, probably about as fast a the default player run speed.

Damage and proc are pretty nice also slimes can crit dealing ~200k which is nice DPS addition to AoE.

This trinket does about 4-7% overall damage on my ilvl 851 Fire Mage, depending on the instance. Not too bad!

Some things I've found about this Trinket:

Volatile Ichors proc on melee attacks also, not just ranged (I'm using it on my feral druid!)
Volatile Ichors will plop out of an enemy upon proccing and land a few yards away. They will immediately shuffle (quite quickly!) towards the enemy and then explode upon reaching it.
The Ichors can proc on your abilities and your auto attacks.
The Ichors deal an AoE in a small radius upon reaching their target (maybe ~5yds?)
The Ichor's explosions can crit for 2x damage.
The Ichors account for roughly 5.1% of my dps.
When I have bleeds up on several targets, an Ichor will pop out maybe once every 20s.
They can proc on any of your DoTs on any of your targets.

Be warned! In it's current state, the Volatile Ichors from this trinket will count as movement on Shade of Medivh's Flame Wreath ability!

Man, this trinket pulled a ton of adds onto my group in a Mythic+ just now, and totally screwed things up. I was only able to figure out the culprit by hitting escape to make sure I didn't cast any spells on the boss it pulled, and checked to see what spells from me had done damage.. it was very frustrating.

So I guess the moral of the story is to make sure you're fighting ~30 yards away from any other packs when you have this trinket equipped

i have an 865 version of this on my ret paly and i do alot of range with my paly my devine storm procs with echo hits twice and blade of justice is ranged and judgement and wake of ashes thats 4 spells woudl you suggest i keep this or swap to Nature's Call ? my other trink is toe knees.

This trinket no longer works for guardian druid since release of 7.2, dunno if its bugged or intended.

As of 4/6/17 it seems the trinket is broken, at least for Balance Druids. I got the trinket as a relinquished reward for turning nethershards in, so it's not like I just willy nilly rolled for it from EN...it was produced as a trinket my spec can use. I had a lower lvl version that worked at the time, in 7.0.x.

Anyway, so far nothing I do gets it to work. If you currently equip this trinket, please check your logs to make sure it's actually benefitting you beyond the stat.

If I had to guess, I think they attempted to fix it, as it triggered things like the Flame Wreath encounter in Kara. But it seems they've only managed to fully break it. There are lots and lots of complaints about the slimes triggering Flame Wreath. There are a number of people posting that it no longer works at all (including myself) as a bug on the forum but so far no acknowledgment by anyone, yet.

Hopefully it's fixed soon.

Update:

Not fixed as of 4/16. At this point, I guess they just have bigger fish to fry. They aren't paying any attention to this bug right now. Seems like it'd be an easy hotfix...remove the crawling blob part and just make it explosive shadow damage but, oh well. Still no acknowledgment to even the issue.
I'd suggest you bank the trinket and find an alternative ASAP. If you're not a raider and not having luck on mythic+s, hope for great luck and get a nethershard trinket.

As of 12th April 2017, is still broken, for BM Hunters anyway.

I think, against a target dummy, I might have seen one purple blob in about a minute, but it didn't register any damage

I just got this as a relinquished item as a Demonology Warlock and tested on a raid dummy using certain spells alone for accuracy.

It does not proc from Wild Imps, Dreadstalkers, Doomguard, Infernal, Grimoire of Service demons or my chosen active summoned demon.

I never saw it proc from Hand of Gul'dan's instant damage, Thal'kiel's Consumption or Thal'kiel's Discord damage though when testing using only each of these after 20 casts in a row.

The only spells of mine it procs off that I could confirm are Doom, Shadowbolt/Demonbolt and Demonwrath.

Also, at least as of today, the Ichor appears to come out of me and race towards to target and not out of the target from which the proc happened on as previously mentioned. I assume this is to combat the issue with pulling unwanted trash packs by making its appearance location predictable and controllable.

All blobs did there damage as expected for me.

Also, the damage this trinkets effect does is not influenced by intellect one way or the other.
