Now that it's finally showing up... I can just hear all the QQ being fired in Ashran, especially against Hunters with 独来独往... All they need to do is keep firing 震荡射击 on cool down, nothing will ever get to them.

I have been doing a lot of Ashran on my Horde Hunter & while this is awesome when it works, I haven't actually had it work for me the past 2, maybe 3 times I tried. The other book that lets you Disengage more often always works great for me, but this one seems very buggy.

I should mention that during the two different instances when I remember this failing to do anything to increase my Hunter's range, I had noticed that the buff had dropped off of me (because an hour had passed) and attempted to re-apply the buff from atop the tower. I consumed the book and apparently got the buff, but nothing changed in respect to my range. Could be that this bug only affects you if you attempt to use the guide while already in/on the tower, so check your buffs and reapply if necessary before climbing the tower.

It's a nice book that gives a nice ability. But that's about as strong a compliment as I can give it. It is nowhere near as strong as it sounded to me before actually trying it out.

Allow me to explain some disadvantages I didn't previously consider:

The extra 60 yards sounds more than it actually is, in effect. Remember your Pythagoras: 60 extra yards straight line distance will not translate to 60 extra yards of horizontal distance, particularly if your target is far below you (and they always will be). Just look at this extra range as enough to allow you to fight effectively from the tower and that's it.
Its benefit only really shines in a protracted F1/F2 fight. In my experience, these jut don't happen often at all. Most fights on the road are around XR, pushing out a bit toward F2 and F4. And far more fighting than that is simply done where it should be: at event locations.I'd guess that the amount of time spent in a F1/F2 battle is less than 5% of Ashran. This de facto means you only get to use the book in 5% of your fighting, at most. This is quite unlike every other class book which can be useful in close to 100% of your Ashran PvP fights.
Once you notice that it'd be useful to be on top of the tower, you have to run to the tower, then run up the spiral staircase. By that time, 20-30 seconds may have passed; you could have just continued fighting and killing during that time, and the fight may be over (or moved off) by the time you even get there. I usually don't bother making that run anymore unless I (for some reason) know that the fight will be going on for another couple minutes at least.

Overall, rather fun ability that does make you feel a bit more sniper-ish, but I would honestly have preferred if Blizz had created something like this, but that applies more evenly to more Ashran fights. Something like, for example, your range scaling up the higher you are in elevation compared to your target. This would still encourage hunters to take the high ground, without making the towers the only places the book works.
