This item has an identical spell effect as the hearthstone.

My friend once used it to pretend he was going to hearthstone (note that ths was before castbars were implemented).

This quest took me forever to complete. It had a 20% chance of getting Morrowgrain.

Not that this particularly matters but, the use of this is affected by spell haste rating. The 10 min cooldown isn't reduced but the 10 second "use" time can be reduced. Saving you valuable 10ths of a second every time!

The cooldown on this item is reset when you enter an arena. This can make harvesting large quantities go much faster.

It will start the stopwatch and it will make a small bell noise when the timer has run out. When it dings, time to use the Evergreen Pouch again!

is there a BC or Northrend equivilent to this? I'd like to get some of the BC herbs with my mage whom is an alchemist, then later the NR herb maybe. please don't give me a negative rating, I have only gotten 2 characters above 41 so I am still rather new to BC and NR stuff.

On 3.2 ptr, this has been both buffed and nerfed.

The nerf puts it into the ground, 6 feet under, the Evergreen Herb Casing no longer gives any random herbs. The Outcome is a gray item (mutated Morrowgrain) to which wowhead has no link or the Morrowgrain itself.

As for the buff, the cast time was made instant and the bag 5 second cool-down.

get all you can out of these before the patch!

I'm unclear here.

I tried this once since the patch, and did get morrowgrain (x3). But then the next time I got the trash. So it no longer gives any other herbs EXCEPT morrowgrain (sometimes) and mutated morrowgrain (sometimes?) And it now has a five second cooldown!

Why did they change this cool little thing? The other herbs were valuable in and of themselves (and yes, you got better herbs if you were an herbalist and your level was higher.)

The morrowgrain is valuable. As a tailor I need it for the Cenarion Herb bags - a huge money maker for me. If it does not consistently give morrowgrain anymore, where are we supposed to get it?

Cooldown lowered to 5 seconds, so now it's really easy to farm this item. I've used this macro :
/use Evergreen pouch
/use Evergreen herb casing

It is still only 75 Darnassus Reputation, making it utterly pointless for farming Rep.

It's far far far better to farm the Argent Tournament Dailies for the Champion's Writ quest rewards and using them to buy the Darnassus Commendation Badge for a whopping 250 Rep each time.

This item is no longer obtainable, however it will still be in your inventory if you did the quest prior. Un'goro Soil and Packet of Thalendris seeds have also been removed from the game. Go ahead and sell any of this old items if you have them.

You can still buy Packet of Tharlendris Seeds and Evergreen Pouch from Mathrengyl Bearwalker. I'm guessing from Bashana Runetotem too.
