This trinket just looks amazing.. 13% flat haste mastery and crit healing... omnomnom... Do wonder what the ICD/RPPM will be on the proc though.

After a test on the PTR, this trinket increase only your critical Healing by 13%. It's does not increase your critical spell as hast and mastery. Actually is a bad trinket for holy paladin, with low stat crit/hast and random proc intellect.

In other words, if you see an intellect dps Need roll on this, shoot him down for failure to read the fine print and saying "tl;dr" in his mind as he does so. It will happen, as that 7% boost is tempting.

The Critical Bonus effect for this trinket works like 元素之怒 and , which multiply with 燃烧之源钻 and other meta gems

The math works out like this:

( ( Base Critical Bonus * Meta Bonus ) - 1 ) * ( 1 + Critical Bonus effect 1 ) * ( 1 + Critical Bonus effect 2 ) = Critical Strike Bonus

( ( 2 * 1.03 ) - 1 ) * 1.07 = 1.1021 or 210.21% total

It reads good at the first glance, but in practice, the LFR version gave me 0.4% mastery, 0,31% haste, and less crit than the int on 赤精之祈 - yes, the 496 version (Ilvl 510 holy paladin twink). It´s too late for math, but it puts it at about 500-600 worth of yellow stats combined + cca. 600 Spirit. This is just plain poor, and I seriously doubt it gets much better with higher gear or better versions of the item.

And IMO a 2-min INT proc is complete nonsense for healers.

IMO, total and utter trash, DPS may have it if they want it ^^

The way this trinket works is the following:

It amplifies your existing secondary stat ratings. This means at 10000 haste, you gain 700 haste, or just under 2%. If you have 18000 haste (42%), you gain 1260 haste, or just about 3%. It simply scales up with your gear. The trinket only uses your secondary stats to determine the amplification, ignoring anything that doesn't touch ratings.

Thus this trinket works best for single-stat focused specs like arcane mages. If you have low item level gear or balanced secondary stats, this trinket won't do much for you.

The critical damage/healing, as already explained by others, is another effect of this trinket, in place of a crit rating increase. It takes the final damage/healing numbers after all modifiers and increases them by another 7%. This also means that it's going to be the BiS trinket for Discipline priests, ~~due to the double-dipping nature of atonement.~~ As proven by others, it doesn't actually double-dip on atonement due to criticals being cut into critical and non-critical halves, meaning it does the same for disc priests as for any other class and spec.

Anyone else completely underwhelmed by this trinket?.. I am sitting on ilvl 549 as a holy paladin, and i see little point keeping this trinket, even though many people and guides list it as best in slot.. Using the 553 version with 2/2 upgrade

I am haste build so it makes reaching the 15th tick point easier with the bonus to haste.. but the crit it adds is negligible since i have very little (about 16%), as is mastery (21%). It adds around 1500 mana regen too, which i suppose is ok.

I tested the trinket for 100 casts of holy light and divine light ignoring procs, not your "go to" spells i admit, but surprising results.

100x holy light.. avg normal 51,045, avg crit 104,150
100x divine light.. avg normal 94,100, avg crit 195,120

I replaced the trinket with a haste melee trinket and reran the numbers. 赞达拉之火

100x holy light.. avg normal 50,925, avg crit 101,050
100x divine light.. avg normal 94,140, avg crit 189,155

I then tried a strength trinket and reran the numbers again. 双天的凝视

100x holy light.. avg normal 50,985, avg crit 101,070
100x divine light.. avg normal 94,030, avg crit 188,995

I then re-equipped the PPoP and reran again to make sure i wasnt mad

100x holy light.. avg normal 51,105, avg crit 104,130
100x divine light.. avg normal 94,090, avg crit 194,990

So normal Holy light are pretty much the same as with the melee haste or strength trinkets... fine. to be expected.
Crit holy light gain a bit, but its hardly gamechanging... and most of it will be overhealing anyway.

Same for Divine light, and presumably all my other spells... Plus the proc is once per 2 mins.. I see no point keeping this trinket and will be switching back to my int one with mana return 赫利东的垂死之息 asap. The numbers on the tooltip are quite misleading.. as can be seen from other comments on here.. For those expecting their crit , haste, spirit and mastery to go up by 7-8%, it wont.. its ratings only. so 16% crit wont become 24% it will become 16.3% or something thereabouts.

Anyone else out there got any feelings about this trinket from a holy paladin point of view?

Take note that the different item level versions of this trinket and 伊墨苏斯的净化之缚 have a linear scaling; the trinket tooltip rounds up to the nearest number.

The scaling formula is equal to 1.15^((trinket ilvl - 553) / 15) * 7%.

Important point: the proc does not check for talent specialization but for LOOT specialization. In other words, if you're running Flex/LFR hoping for offspec drops, this trinker will not proc even if you are healing.

I HOPE it is not intentional, but if it is... Well, that makes about as much sense as MoP talent system and flavour items usable only in Pandaria combined, so I would not put it past Blizzard.

That point aside, it's quite good for a Disc priest. It doubledips - damage dealt is amplified by 7% and then healing, equal to already amplified damage, is further increased by another 7%. I have noticed the difference immediately.
