Hellfire Citadel Basics
Hellfire Citadel has four difficulties: LFR (25 players), Normal (10-30), Heroic (10-30), and Mythic (20). The loot increases as you progress further in the instance.

The Hellfire Citadel raid is partially non-linear, allowing players to choose a progression path at several key decision points:
After defeating Hellfire Assault and Iron Reaver, players may choose between Kormrok or the Hellfire High Council/Kilrogg Deadeye/Gorefiend wing
Upon gaining access to the Nexus of Souls by defeating Gorefiend, players can choose freely between Shadow-Lord Iskar, Socrethar the Eternal, Fel Lord Zakuun, and Xhul'horac
Players must defeat Socrethar the Eternal to gain access to Tyrant Velhari
Players must defeat all five of these bosses to reach Mannoroth
Players must defeat Mannoroth to reach Archimonde
All four raid difficulties do not share lockouts. The required ilvl to queue for LFR is ilvl 650.
The entrance is located in central

, which is a zone that requires building a Shipyard to access. The closest flight path is in Lion's Watch or Vol'mar, which are cities that are unlocked as part of the Shipyard questline.

Maps:
The center of each raid page contains all maps with markers for each boss. You can swap between floors via the option at the top right of the map. Clicking on the map enlarges it.
Bosses:
The "Encounters" section lists all the bosses found in the instance. Clicking on a boss brings up a page specifically for that boss which contains the in-game Dungeon Journal, Encounter Tips, LFR, Normal, Heroic and Mythic loot. Encounter Tips are new for Warlords--they give tldr information on important things each role should remember for a boss.
Spells:
From the "Dungeon Journal" tab on a boss' page, click on a spell to see how hard it hits in each difficulty—LFR, Normal, Heroic, Mythic. Just select the difficulty right underneath the spell tooltip on the page.
Loot:
The "Items" tab on the "Related" section of a Raid page breaks down all of the loot, split by difficulty. You can view the loot for a particular boss by visiting that boss' specific page too. On a boss' specific page, you can filter for loot that is appropriate for your specialization--just click on the class icons right above the loot lists.

Hellfire Citadel Raid Schedule
Hellfire Citadel LFR will have a staggered unlock schedule, in the style of Highmaul and Foundry LFR.
All four difficulties are on separate lockouts, including Normal and Heroic.
You cannot queue for one wing only in Normal, Heroic, or Mythic.
Heroic will not require a clear of Normal to unlock.

The armies of Azeroth are set to charge into Tanaan Jungle and the new Raid found there. To help with the coordination of these fiery days to come, we’ve broken down the unlock schedule for Hellfire Citadel. Get ready!If you're among those patiently sharpening your sword until Raid Finder unlocks, please note that you'll need a minimum item level of 650 to enter. Here's the rundown:
Week 1 (with the release of Patch 6.2)
Hellfire Citadel Normal and Heroic difficulties open.
Week 2
Mythic difficulty becomes available.
Raid Finder Wing 1 (Hellfire Assault, Iron Reaver, Kormrok) unlocks.
Week 4
Raid Finder Wing 2 (Hellfire High Council, Kilrogg, Gorefiend) unlocks.
Week 6
Raid Finder Wing 3 (Shadow-Lord Iskar, Socrethar the Eternal, Tyrant Velhari) unlocks.
Week 8
Raid Finder Wing 4 (Fel Lord Zakuun, Xhul’horac, Mannoroth) unlocks.
Week 10
Raid Finder Wing 5 (Archimonde) unlocks.

Loot
Loot from
地狱火堡垒
, as covered above, increases in item level as you progress further in the instance. This is so that killing later bosses, which are considered harder, drop rewarding loot instead of getting disenchanted.
LFR loot ranges from 675 to 685.
Normal loot ranges from 690 to 705.
Heroic loot ranges from 705 to 720.
Mythic loot ranges from 720 to 735.
Normal, Heroic, and Mythic loot, including Tier 17 gear, has a chance to come in several variations:
Warforged
: +6 item level boost
Tertiary stat
: Avoidance, Leech, Indestructible, or Speed
Prismatic Socket
:
Draenor Gems
can be placed in this gear. These sockets do not have bonuses or colors.

Tier 18 Set Items
Tier 18 gear with set bonuses is obtainable from
地狱火堡垒
. Unlike past tiers, you do not need to turn a token in to a vendor--simply click on the token and it will turn into a piece of armor.
Tier gear is fixed at ilvl 695 normal, ilvl 710 heroic, and ilvl 725 mythic. In addition, there is a special set of gear from Hellfire LFR that has set bonuses.

When you critically hit with Obliterate you gain 3% haste for 12 sec. When you critically hit with Frost Strike, your critical damage is increased by 6% for 12 sec.
2 pieces (Unholy) :
Your Death Coil applies double the amount of Shadow Infusion onto your Ghoul.
4 pieces (Blood) :
Your Death Strike only consumes 80% of the stacks of Scent of Blood.
4 pieces (Frost) :
Frost Strike and Obliterate have a 65% chance not to consume Killing Machine.
4 pieces (Unholy) :
Your Dark Tranformation now transforms your Ghoul into a Crazed Monstrosity, increasing both the Monstrosity's and your damage and attack speed.

Your Moonfire and Sunfire have a chance to summon a Faerie Dragon to assist you in battle for 30 sec.

2 pieces (Guardian) :
Savage Defense also increases heals done to you by 20% while active.
2 pieces (Restoration) :
Your Lifebloom has a 30% chance to bloom when it periodically heals.
4 pieces (Balance) :
When a Faerie Dragon is summoned, your arcane and nature damage is increased by 6% for 30 sec.
4 pieces (Feral) :
During Omen of Clarity, your next Cat Form ability generates 100% of its Energy cost when used.
4 pieces (Guardian) :
While Savage Defense is active, the cost of Frenzied Regeneration is reduced by 50%.
4 pieces (Restoration) :
You can Lifebloom two targets at once.

Arcane Shot and Multi-Shot increase the duration of your Focus Fire by 1 sec.
2 pieces (Marksmanship) :
When you critically hit with Chimera Shot, you have a 40% chance to gain Rapid Fire for 4 sec.
2 pieces (Survival) :
Your Black Arrow increases all elemental damage done to the target by 15% for 15 sec.
4 pieces (Beast Mastery) :
Your Focus Fire effect also summons a Fel Boar to assist you. The Fel Boar lasts for the duration of Focus Fire.
4 pieces (Marksmanship) :
The cast time of your Aimed Shot is reduced by 100%.
4 pieces (Survival) :
Your Explosive Shot causes a shadow nova on targets afflicted by your Black Arrow.

Arcane Missiles has a 35% chance to create a Time Anomaly, summoning a random hero through time to assist you in battle for 10 sec.
2 pieces (Fire) :
Pyroblast has a 25% chance to conjure a Fiery Phoenix, dealing Fire damage to the target.
2 pieces (Frost) :
Water Jet generates Brain Freeze when used, and the Brain Freeze effect increases Frostfire Bolt damage by an additional 20%.
4 pieces (Arcane) :
Each of the heroes summoned by Time Anomaly increases the damage you deal by 12% until it departs.
4 pieces (Fire) :
When the pheonix is summoned, you gain 6% spell damage and 6% spell haste for 15 sec.
4 pieces (Frost) :
Increases the duration of Water Jet by 10 sec, and increases the total Fingers of Frost stacks by 2.

Expel Harm now has no cooldown when you are below 50% health in Stance of the Sturdy Ox.
2 pieces (Windwalker) :
Your Rising Sun Kick has a 30% chance to generate Combo Breaker.
2 pieces (Mistweaver) :
Your Renewing Mist also applies Extend Life to the initial target, instantly healing them for (105.8% of Spell power) and increasing all healing done to them by 15% for 12 sec. Your Rising Sun Kick increases the damage the target receives from your abilities by an additional 6%.
4 pieces (Brewmaster) :
Every time you use Expel Harm, the remaining cooldown of your Guard is reduced by 5 sec.
4 pieces (Windwalker) :
Increases the chance for you to gain Combo Breaker by 15%, and increases your maximum Energy by 20.
4 pieces (Mistweaver) :
When you heal with Enveloping Mist or Uplift, 50% of the heal is also applied to targets with your Extend Life effect. When you Rising Sun Kick, you have a 50% chance to apply Renewing Mist on a nearby injured ally.

Your spell haste is increased by 2% every time you heal your Beacon of Light target. Lasts for 6 sec. Stacks up to 4 times.
4 pieces (Prot):
Your Avenger's Shield has a 50% chance to have it's cooldown instantly reset when used.
4 pieces (Retribution):
After using Avenging Wrath, your damage is increased by 5% every 1 sec for 10 sec.

Your Penance damage and healing is increased by 12% for 15 sec each time it deals damage or heals. This effect stacks up to 6 times.
2 pieces (Holy) :
You gain 2% spell haste for 15 sec when Prayer of Mending bounces. This effect can stack up to 3 times.
2 pieces (Shadow) :
Reduces the cooldown on Shadowfiend by 160 sec and the cooldown on Mindbender by 40 sec.
4 pieces (Discipline) :
Each time Penance heals, it has a 50% chance to heal another injured ally near your target.
4 pieces (Holy) :
Your Prayer of Mending has a 10% chance to split when it bounces, healing an additional target nearby.
4 pieces (Shadow) :
When your Shadowfiend or Mindbender expires, you gain Premonition, increasing your Multistrike chance by 20% for 15 sec.

Your Dispatch deals 25% additional damage as Nature damage.

You have a chance while Slice and Dice is active to again the Adrenaline Rush effect for 4 sec.

Your Vanish now awards 5 Combo Points when used and increases all damage done by 30% for 10 sec.
4 pieces (Assassination) :
Your Dispatch now generates 2 additional Combo Point.
4 pieces (Combat) :
Increases your damage while Adrenailine Rush is active by 25%.
4 pieces (Subtlety) :
Your Eviscerate and Rupture reduce the cooldown of your Vanish by 1 sec per Combo Point used.

Increases Riptide's critical strike chance by 25%.
4 pieces (Elemental) :
For every 24 Lightning Shield charges consumed, your total total spell haste is increased by 20% for 15 sec. Every 3 sec the effect diminishes.
4 pieces (Enhancement) :
Maelstrom charges increase the damage done by your Nature spells by an additional 5%, and you may now have a maximum of 10 Maelstrom charges.
4 pieces (Restoration) :
When you Chain Heal, you have a 65% chance to also apply Riptide to the primary target.

While Dark Soul Misery is active, your Drain Soul damage also refreshes the duration of your Haunt effect on the target.
4 pieces (Demonology) :
When Molten Core occurs, you have a 30% chance to summon a Demon from the void to assist you in battle.
4 pieces (Destruction) :
Your Chaos Bolt has a 12% chance to not consume an Ember.

Your Rend periodic damage ticks have a 100% chance to reset the cooldown of Mortal Strike.

While Bloodsurge is active, your Wild Strike critical strike chance is increased by 100% and Wild Strike critical strike damage is increased by 12%.
2 pieces (Protection) :
Reduces the cooldown of your Last Stand by 50%. While in Gladiator Stance, the damage bonus from being Enraged is increased by 12%.
4 pieces (Arms) :
Your Rend deals damage 50% more often.
4 pieces (Fury) :
Your Wild Strike critical strikes reduce the cooldown of Recklessness by 25 sec.
4 pieces (Protection) :
Shield Barrier's effect is increased by 100% when used during Last Stand. Your Shield Charge also causes you to Enrage.
Class Trinkets
New to Tier 18 are class-specific trinkets from the final boss,

: Starsurge has a 27% chance to also trigger Starfall.

: Crusader Strike and Hammer of the Righteous increase your damage by (179/100)% for 10 sec, stacking up to 3 times. This effect is reset if you Crusader Strike or Hammer of the Righteous a different target.

: When you drop below 25% health, the Light will heal you for (Attack power * 448 / 100), and deal (Attack power * 448 / 100) Holy damage to nearby enemies. This cannot occur again for 12 sec.

: Your auto attacks increase your haste by (90 / 100)% for 6 sec, stacking up to 10 times. This effect is reset if you auto attack a different target.
Armor
Armor pieces (Helm, Shoulders, Chest, Wrist, Hands, Waist, Legs, Boots) are more versatile than in the past. Their primary stat (Agility, Strength, Intellect) changes based on your specialization so you do not need to collect multiple items for the same slot. If you have a Tier 18 set item, the set bonus will change based on your specialization as well.

Non-Armor
Non-armor pieces (Necks, Rings, Amulet, Trinkets, Weapons) do not change stats based on your spec. Tank-themed items have the Bonus Armor stat while Healer themed items have Spirit.

Weapons
Due to the nature of itemization in Hellfire Citadel, not all weapons are the same item level.
690 (N) / 705 (H) / 720 (M):

Tier 18 Bonus Rolls
As in Mists of Pandaria and Tier 17, you can get additional personal chances at loot via bonus rolls.
Loot won via a bonus roll is for your selected loot specialization. This is mostly important for non-armor pieces (weapons, trinkets, necks, capes, rings) where there are unique stats for tanks and healers.

Unlike Mists of Pandaria, your bonus roll currency can be acquired from multiple sources. This provides some variety and you can pick which method of farming is the most fun.

Raid Consumables
Profession perks have been removed in Warlords of Draenor, so you no longer need to reroll a profession to get a specific raid benefit. However, several professions still offer raid benefits in addition to crafted gear.
Flasks cover primary stats--Agility, Strength, Intellect, Stamina.

If you do not have Alchemy but do have an
Alchemy Lab
, you can create lesser flasks with

There are no new elixirs providing primary or secondary stats in Warlords of Draenor.
You can cook food that
covers every secondary stat in Warlords
, either for a +75 or +100 boost. You have the option to cook the +75 stat food using either meat or fish, and the +100 options require you to fuse together a meat and fish dish with some herbs. Learn more about food with our

There are feasts for both 10 and 30 players, but the best feast is not from Cooking.

why does the consumables section not mention the new(ish) 125 stat foods that came out in 6.1? these are relevant and supremely better than the +75s or even +100s for those that care enough about the food buffs.
Find Arsenio Zerep (for alliance, idk Horde side who to see, but I would imagine the equivalent <cook> npc for your garrison), he is just outside the south Gate by a cooking fire and sells all these recipes for only 10g each.
Only difference in cooking them is that they only make 1 food per create (2 if it crits, lowish chance on that), and each one takes 6 crescent fish flesh + 12 of xyz zone fish (ie the mastery stat recipe (sleeper sushi) uses 12 fat sleeper flesh)

Do I need to unlock Tanaan Jungle on all my Alts seperately, or is it account wide? I am working backwards on all the old raids with my Pala, but i can't enter Talaan yet. My main hunter shows I built the shipyard and should have unlocked Talaan.

Hellfire Citadel Walkthrough
I first made these notes when soloing Hellfire Citadel as a 51 Arcane Mage in the post-squish Shadowlands era.
This is a very easy instance to get lost in and I struggled to find my way around it each visit.
Trash mobs drop very little in this instance. I got many iLvl 45 BoP purples on a 10-person run, but few BoE greens.
At the end, after killing all mobs and looting the few that had anything, the loot consumed 65 slots in my bags.
I found 11 more epic pieces as recovered mail when I got to a mailbox despite having empty slots in my bags.
Trash is Shadowlands level 40. Bosses are unknown to me at 51.
I found that green slime hurts.
You can ride a land mount in open-air rooms.
Note: I consider this a living document and I update it most every time I rerun the instance.
Hellfire Assault
:
Enter the big room from the east. Kill everything, including artillery.
On either side of the entrance are two cannons. You must protect them both during the second phase.
Mobs will run to them and attack them. You have to run from one to the other to protect them.
Engineers will drop an explosive when you kill them. Pick up the explosive and run to a cannon. This seems to charge them.
Once a cannon is fully charged, it will blast the doors on the west end of the room so you can proceed.
Archmage Khadgar
and others come in and set up a portal that can be used as a shortcut to various points in the instance that you have already reached.
Iron Reaver
(Hellfire Antechamber):
Easy fight, just DPS him.
Go north up the stairs and zig-zag down the corridor from the antechamber and kill trash. Watch for assassins.
Kormrok
(Pits of Mannoroth):
Enter the pits from the south door. Clear all the mobs, including the minor named mobs.
Kormrok jumps into the middle of the room after you kill the handful of mobs holding him at bay. Kill him.
Go back south from the room and backtrack to the Hellfire Antechamber.
Hellfire High Council
: Gurtogg Bloodboil, Blademaster Jubei'thos, and Dia Darkwhisper (Court of Blood):
Go up the south stairs from the antechamber and zigzag to the court. Kill trash and watch for assassins.
You enter the court from the north. The three members of the high council are on a stage at the south end.
Kill them. I killed
Gurtogg Bloodboil
(center) first. I then worked on
Blademaster Jubei'thos
(right), but he stopped losing health at 50%.
So, I killed
Dia Darkwhisper
(left) and went back to the second and finished him off. Heals from Dia?
I went after Dia first on a later trip and after killing her they all fell quickly.
When I tried it on a later trip, I killed her so quickly she died up on the stage and I could not loot her.
Head for the door in the SW part of the room. Zig-zag down the corridor to Deadeye's Vision.
Killrogg Deadeye
(Deadeye's Vision):
You enter the room from the west. Killrogg is at the east end of the room with a friendly Ariok.
Deadeye seems to be mistreating Ariok, so I killed him. Ariok was grateful and became an epic Follower for my garrison.
A door opened in the back of the room, so I headed east through the door and found it was a shortcut to the hallway
between the Court of Blood and the Hellfire Antechamber. I followed it to the antechamber (north exit).
Gorefiend
(Maw of Souls):
I headed up the stairs at the back (west end) of the antechamber and found myself in the Maw of Souls.
You start out on a balcony/walkway around a deep room. Take the spiral stairs down to your left as you enter the large room.
When you reach the bottom (watch your step!), three mobs will be on your right.
A toothy Gorefiend is in a pool on your left. Kill the three mobs. Gorefiend wakes up. He's ugly, so kill him.
Watch out for the spirally stuff he puts on the ground.
Khadgar shows up and creates a portal. Follow him through it. You end up in a room with colors emanating from the floor.
Khadgar opens a door to a room to the north where he starts constructing another portal.
Shadow-Lord Iskar
(Iskar's Clutch):
Head up the stairs to the west to Iskar's Clutch. Kill all the trash. There's a gadget floating in the air right in front of Iskar.
I have no idea what for, but I took it. The fight started just as I got close enough to it.
Iskar spawned waves of adds, which I killed. I burned him down to 1% where he stayed for a while. He eventually died.
Socrethar
(Amphitheater of the Eternal):
Head back out of the room and turn right (south) to the Hall of Sargerei. Kill all the mobs.
Turn left (east) at the back of the room and kill trash in the hallway. Go down the stairs to the right (south) and kill Korvos.
Continue to the large room to the south. Killing the little guys releases Socrethar who dons a mechanical suit, the Soulbind Construct.
Kill the construct, then Socrethar. Doors open on the north side of the room that lead to the Halls of the Sargerei.
Fel Lord Zakuun
(Grommash's Torment):
Go through one of the doors and turn left (west) at the top of the right stairway.
Follow the hallway to where you ported to where the colors are emanating from the floor.
Head east towards
Dag'gorath
and kill him. A door opens on your left (north side of room).
Kill
Mek'barash
and the other mobs in the next room.
Go to the back of the room where there is a wispy, green web-like pattern on the floor. Turn left (west).
You'll find
Zerik'shekor
and two temptresses accusing a prisoner. Kill them.
Go past them and climb down the rubble to a room below. Kill
Shao'ghun
and
Bryanda
.
That lowers a fence between you and Fel Lord Zakuun. Kill him and his friend.
Khadgar yells out the his portal is nearly complete.
Xhul'horac
(The Felborne Breach):
Retrace your steps. Go up the rubble pile to the room with the green web on the floor, but continue straight (east).
You enter The Felborne Breach and go down steps to the floor. Two guys are using magic to tether Xhul'horac.
Kill them and Xhul'horac becomes targetable. Burn him down. He spawns adds, but I just ignored them.
Tyrant Velhari
(Temple of Tyranny):
Turn back (west) and head up the steps and eventually get to the room with the green-webbed floor.
Turn left (south) and work back to the room with the colors emanating from the floor.
Khadgar is still working on the portal in the room to your right (north). Turn left (south).
Follow the hallway to the big room in the Halls of Sargerei. Go down the steps on the right (south).
Pass through the Amphitheater of the Eternal where you killed Socrethar.
Keep going until you get to another area called the Halls of the Sargerei.
There are three mobs the steps ahead. Kill them and many mobs attack you from all directions.
There are portals on the four corners of the room. Groups of mobs come out f them every few seconds.
Click on the portals to close them. Mobs will interrupt you.
After the four portals are closed,
Lord Aram'el
attacks you. He is easy to kill like trash.
Go up the stairs and turn right (west). There is a newly opened door where a portal was before.
Kill the mobs there and turn left (west). Enter the Temple of Tyranny to find trash and Tyrant Velhari and
Adjunct Kuroh
.
I killed the trash in the middle and left parts of the room, then turned to Kuroh, quickly killed her, and then Velhari.
Khadgar yells out that the portal he was working on is now unlocked.
Mannoroth
(Destructor's Rise):
Exit by the door on the left (west) and follow the path back to Iskar's Clutch.
A door on the east wall leads straight to the room with the colors emanating from the floor and Khadgar's port just beyond.
Turn left (north) and touch the portal. It takes you to Destructor's Rise, which is a circular platform with three mobs.
Doom Lord Usael
appears after you attack one. Kill him and other adds and Mannoroth attacks. Kill him too.
Archimonde
(The Black Gate):
Khadgar yells that Gul'dan has fled to The Black Gate. A portal of Khadgar's appears on the platform. Take it.
A video of Gul'dan and Archimonde starts.
After it's over, Archimonde and three other named mobs are at the Black Gate with you.
So are Exarch Yrel and Grommash Hellscream. The three named died quickly and Archimonde just stood there until I attacked him.
He was a little harder to kill. Another video starts and the heroes celebrate the liberation of Draenor.
Many good guys are standing around at the end. There are also five portals to the starting room where you can exit the instance.
