Dragonwrath is designed to be DOT-friendly. Simply put, it has a chance to copy each tick of a DOT spell. There is no internal cooldown, since we want it to be good for warlocks and Shadow priests.
Furthermore, the proc chance is adjusted favorably for pet specs that derive a significant portion of their DPS from pets.
Our goal is to tune Dragonwrath in such a way that you can give it to any caster without anticipating certain classes or specs getting a bigger benefit than others.

Once any of these achievements have been unlocked, players can accept the quest A Legendary Engagement from Ziradormi in Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar, or Coridormi atop the Wizard's Sanctum in Stormwind (players who have already completed any of these achievements are immediately eligible for this quest). Players who become eligible for the quest series by killing a Molten Lord in the Firelands will automatically receive the quest Your Time Has Come, leading them to the start of the questline. In case you already completed 暮光堡垒, 黑翼血环 and 风神王座, you can start the legendary questchain by talking to either 齐拉多尔米 (located in Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar) or 克里多尔米 (located in the Wizard's Sanctum in Stormwind), who asks you to travel to the Caverns of Time located in 塔纳利斯 and speak to the mighty Bronze dragon 阿纳克洛斯, who most players should remember from the questchain to unlock 安其拉废墟 and 安其拉 back in Classic.

Upon speaking to Anachronos, he will let you witness the current future of Azeroth. This will be shown by a cut-scene depicting the future event and the terrible fate that will befall Azeroth - unless something is done quickly. It seems only the help of a mortal will prevent it from happening.

As you might have guessed, this mortal is going to be you. I mean, who else could possibly do it?

The future of Azeroth does not look good. Luckily, Anachronos knows of how to create an artefact that can unveil the events that seems to take place at Coldarra - the domain of the Blue Dragonflight.

The gathering of these materials will be your first real challenge (or grind, if you will), as the 25 永恒余烬 will take some time to get by. Keep in mind that these are Bind on Pickup and cannot be traded. They will also only show up, if there is a person present at the raid who is on the quest. Notice that this is not the same as 永生烈焰, which is the crafting material of this tier (like 符文宝珠 or 源生萨隆邪铁 from Wrath of the Lich King).

Now that the 无尽时光之眼 is in your possession, it is time to find out what is going on in Coldarra. After the death of 玛里苟斯, the place has become a dangerous place, so travel with caution, and hope you'll find a dragon that won't kill you on the spot...

Don't worry - you'll survive! And, on top of that, you meet up with the dragon Tarecgosa... Name rings a bell, doesn't it? Good, because there's a very good reason for that.

After meeting up with the blue dragon Tarecgosa, and showing her the 无尽时光之眼, she accompanies you inside the Nexus, which is known as 魔枢 during this quest. This involves various encounters, a slightly changed layout, and a fight against Thyrinar, a Twilight Dragon, at the end. However, you will only be able to be assisted by Tarecgosa - that is, you're all by yourself, and will have to do the entire thing alone and ungrouped.

What to expect inside The Nexus

The progression through the instance is split into 3 different parts, each with unique encounters and challenges. It is worth to note that should you die during any given phase, you will be given a chance to start over again from the phase that you died in. This will last for as long as you want to go on, but keep in mind that grouping up with other people will reset the instance, and forcing you to start over.

NOTICE: It's also incredibly important to emphasize that you cannot complete the event if you're locked to 永恒之眼, as that is where the vision after "Phase 3" takes place. This could very well get hotfixed, but for the time being, save yourself the trouble.

For the first phase, you're accompanied by 泰蕾苟萨. She uses various frost- and arcane-based attacks to assist you defeat the bad guys. In addition, she gives you 泰蕾苟萨的气息, which gives passive health and mana regeneration, as well as a sneak-peek of the proc from 巨龙之怒，泰蕾苟萨的寄魂杖.

In this part, you'll primarily face the following opponents:

冰缚哨卫

 反击 - Purge- and spellsteal-able.
坚冰穿刺 - Interruptible and can be avoided.

魔法追猎者 - Two will spawn for each Sentinel faced.

吸取魔法 - Keep them at range, and down them fast.
~~- Silence, now removed from the game.~~

After the two 魔枢戒卫s have passed, Tarecgosa runs off with the last 冰缚哨卫 after you've been encased in ice. Don't follow her - wait and kill the three 魔法追猎者s. After that, progress through the gauntlet and quickly kill the mobs, as they do massive melee damage if left alive too long. Keep in mind that you will not have 泰蕾苟萨的气息 until you find her again. When you do, take out the two Icebound Sentinels, one at a time. She'll assist you killing the second one.

After that, you'll have to protect her while she uses her 碎门. For that, a special Magic Hunter mini-boss appears:

Upon defeating Ceredos, Tarecgosa will have shattered the wall, and Phase 2 can begin.

If anything, this is a "vehicle" encounter. You will have to jump between 魔枢平台s. You'll start with a small one that floats towards the first big one.

Before progressing further, it's a good idea to get to know what we'll be facing during this encounter:

暮光裂隙制造者

 暮光火球 - Interruptible, ordinary attack.
暗影新星 - Uninterruptible, and hits like a truck!
不受拘束的魔法 - Use to mitigate the Shadow Nova, by clicking a 不受拘束的魔法 Orb.

暮光缚法者 - two will float in after each Riftweaver defeated.

暮光火球 - Same as the Riftweaver attack.

At every big platform, there's 暮光裂隙制造者, with 4 不受拘束的魔法 Orbs on each of them. Kill them as fast as possible, and use one of the Orbs on the platform in time for the Shadow ability. Save the remaining 3 orbs for dealing with the 2 lesser 暮光缚法者 (they can even be CC'ed), then use one of their pads to move further towards the east.

At one point, Thyrinar will fly in and attack the big platform you're on with 灼热气息. Use an orb, if you can, and simply jump to the little platform that rose up from below, as fast as you can. Tarecgosa flies in and tears Thyrinar from the sky.

After getting off in the end, the 暮光入侵者s will be killed by Tarecgosa, who comes in raining frost shards left and right. Just avoid them until then, or keep them at a distance. She'll get them all, eventually.

So, this is it - the big bad. Thyrinar seemingly didn't die before, and catches Tarecgosa by surprise, as you both stand on the platform.

This is meant to be the toughest part of the instance - depending on your class, at least. How exactly to kill him is simply knowing your class, and using the tools at your disposal - but the basics below should be enough pointers to give a good idea of what to expect, and how to prepare.

泰林纳尔

 暮光冲击波 - Interruptible, shadow damage, ordinary attack.
暮光回复 - Dispell, spellsteal or otherwise. Very important!
扭曲暮光 - Run for your life! The platform is very small, so remember to play it smart so you don't cage yourself and limit your movement, or reach a point where you cannot reach Thyrinar.

暮光入侵者 - will periodically join the fight from the slope. Never underestimate them.

急速冲锋 - Closes the gap to you, use whatever means you have to get them off you again.
法术反制 - Needs no further description. Not being able to cast is bad. Very bad.
火焰新星 - Again, needs no further description. Hurts a lot!

泰蕾苟萨 - caught in Thyrinar's 暮光囚牢, and is - as such - unable to directly assist you, besides being passively there, and occasionally giving a very useful buff.

泰蕾苟萨的气息 - Just as in Phase 1. Much needed here, to give the extra boost.
蓝龙精华 - Done at some point during the fight. Should be spent nuking - but remember that control is vital here.

After that, touch the Timeless Eye, sit back and enjoy the magnificent "Obscurred Event"-cutscene.

Kalecgos

Tarecgosa advises you to quickly make contact with Kalecgos in 海加尔山, so that he may know of the events you both just witnessed. It seems that Arygos is in league with none other than Deathwing, and plans to kill him so he can ensure his position as the new Aspect of Magic. As you might have guessed, this is not good at all.

As a small bonus, Kalecgos offers some additional dialogue when you meet up with him, which offers some nice background for the lore-fanatics out there:
<My vision in the Eye of Eternity haunts me, Kalecgos. What do you make of it?>
There is a great deal at stake within the blue dragonflight, .

Soon, a new aspect must be chosen to take the place of Malygos.

Arygos aspires to follow in the footsteps of his father, renewing the misguided aggression against all who wield mgic. This path, I feel, would lead to the end of our kind.

The remnants of our flight are divided on this fateful issue, and I fear that Arygos will stop at nothing to meet his ends...

Kalecgos

<Wistfully, Kalecgos looks off to the horizon.>

Tarecgosa is... special to me.

When she was but a hatchling, I was charged with her protection and education. Over the millennia, we have forged a special bond, not unlike what you would call siblings.

Tarecgosa was born under a special sign that foretold of a great destiny. If the prophecies are true, then her survival is of vital importance to the blue dragonflight, and to Azeroth itself.

Our affinity for one another is well known within the remnants of our flight. If your vision recounted an event that has actually taken place, she could be in grave danger.委派

Kalecgos

Upon learning of the events, Kalecgos tasks you with an even more difficult mission - to obtain the 诺达希尔的分枝 from inside 火焰之地. Should that fail, Nordrassil could be consumed in flame, from a ritual performed in the Firelands. This might be the very same event we witness in Thrall's vision in the official "Patch 4.2: Rage of the Firelands"-trailer.

There has been a bit of uncertainty regarding how the branch should be obtained, especially considering the recent attack from 管理者鹿盔 and his Druids of the Flame, that just paid a visit to Nordrassil in the new 救世萨满的召唤 / 救世萨满的召唤 questline. While Fandral's Druids of the Flame certainly have something to do with this, I'll get into the ritual itself later. One does not simply walk into such place - there's a portal to be opened first.

Opening the portal to the Anvil of Conflagration

In order to properly start this step, you will need an instance, where each of the following four bosses are alive: 沙恩诺克斯, 雷奥利斯领主, 贝丝缇拉克 and 奥利瑟拉佐尔. The easiest is simply having a fresh instance, but seeing as you do not have to actually kill the bosses to complete this step, you could - for instance - complete the gathering of the foci in a 10-man earlier in the day. Of course, that would take some convincing from your guild, but it is doable that way!

They each follow the same method of being put together:

Gather three fragments during the encounter - these will stay in your inventory (and often on the ground too) through deaths and wipes.
Convert them into a dull focus - this has a short casting time.
Drop the dull focus at specific point during the encounter where a specific powerful ability is being used. Again, this has a casting time, and will only stay on the ground for two minutes while uncharged.
Pick up the charged focus.

The below will describe each of these steps from the 4 bosses:

沙恩诺克斯

This part is all about being on your toes, as you need to act fast in order to drop the focus in time - especially if you also want to survive!

Find the 烬石碎片:	Next to shattered 水晶牢笼陷阱.
Drop 黯淡烬石焦镜:	So that it is hit by 掷矛. Remember, it's always thrown next to 裂肢, so stay close and be quick!
Pick up 充能烬石焦镜:	When the area is clear.

贝丝缇拉克

It's a good thing if you're on "web duty" here, as you will have to go topside twice during the encounter - most likely during the second and third top phase.

Find the 黑斑几丁碎片:	Next to a dead 烬网工虫. Notice, all three drop from one!
Drop 黯淡几丁焦镜:	At the top of the web, before 阴燃毁灭. Will most likely happen during the second web-phase.
Pick up 充能几丁焦镜:	When you get a chance of getting topside again. Most likely at the third (and last) web-phase.

雷奥利斯领主

Bit tricky part, as you have to locate the fragments, and most likely get far away from healer range during that. It can take a while, but be on the lookout!

Find the 火岩碎片:	Around the edges of the arena. Only one at a time is up!
Drop 黯淡火岩焦镜:	Just before he does his 震荡践踏. Simply get within melee-range when you got the three fragments, and be ready!
Pick up 充能火岩焦镜:	Whenever you get the chance.

奥利瑟拉佐尔

As it always is with this fight, it's about avoiding the fire. You have to manoeuvre a lot to get the fragments though. It's worth to mention that this part will take you through two full phases - so be sure she isn't dead by the time the second burn-phase is about to end!

Find the 赤壳碎片 at:	One per egg of a 饥饿的巢鸟 spawn.
Drop 黯淡赤壳焦镜:	Just before she reaches 蓄满力量 at 100 Energy.
Pick up 充能赤壳焦镜:	When the area is clear again.

Once you have all four, head to the Circle of Thorns at the north-west end of 火焰之地 main area, where there's a very easily-seen portal on the map. Step close, and use any of the collected foci to 打开火焰传送门. Don't worry, even though the foci get consumed, the portal will remain open.

Inside the Anvil of Conflagration

And so the real battles begin. This is a three phased event.

Phase 1: 烈焰先驱者
Interrupt their casts, similar to the 炽炎之爪新兵s at 奥利瑟拉佐尔. 4 spawn at 10-man, 7 on 25-man.

激情迸发！ - Stacking buff after a successful cast. Too many means pain. Lots of it.
火岩齐射 - Hits lots of targets. Interrupt, at all costs!
烈火喷涌 - Direct Damage. Interrupt, if possible.

After this phase, you get a break to drink up and everyone stops being "in combat". Click the hovering branch in the middle to continue.

Phase 2: 受折磨的保护者
Defeat the Tormented Protector. Cleanse the roots just after the knockback, and let ranged deal with the Treants. Stack up, to ensure easier healing.

阴燃根须 - Roots the raid in place, dealing damage every second. Does, however, negate knockbacks, so wait with cleansing it until...
炽热踩踏 - Once this has happened, cleanse the roots, and continue.
烈焰树人 - Spawns from some distance. Let the ranged DPS handle these.

When the Protector is close to death, he'll come to his senses, and sacrifice himself for you - this is when the real fun starts!

Phase 3: 沃卡纳斯
Ramp up damage. Save 嗜血 for the later part of this phase, and burn like there's no tomorrow!

受祝福的诺达希尔防御者 - Given to you, as per 受折磨的保护者s self-sacrifice.
熔火怪癖 - Volcanus wants YOUR life. Yes, you, the tree of life. Good thing you have 95% damage reduction!
苏醒之焰 - Spammed AoE fire damage. Unavoidable.
激情迸发！ - Same deal as with 烈焰先驱者. This time, there's nothing to do against it other than killing him, so this is your "enrage".

After picking up the 诺达希尔的分枝, take it to 卡雷苟斯, who has taken residence on the Amber Ledge in the 北风苔原. You'll also receive the temporary buff 受祝福的诺达希尔防御者, which grants the title <Name>, Blessed Defender of Nordrassil, which lasts for two hours and gives you a lovely flowery feel.

Bonus: The model used for "Stage 0" of the staff - as seen in the quest - is in the database: Monster - Caster Legendary Stage 0, complete with a very nice model. Always worth a little peek.

诺达希尔的分枝

Kalecgos

Kalecgos has witnessed the events you saw in 魔枢 by himself. As a thanks for your hard work in completing his mission - and saving Nordrassil - he will infuse the branch with the powerful magic from 无尽时光之眼, turning it into a powerful staff.

Not only will you see the amazing effect going into the making of the staff, but you will - naturally - also receive the end result. This will make you the proud owner of 诺达希尔的分枝 - the first stage of the staff!

Kalecgos doesn't feel good about everything that has already transpired, and feels it's safer if Tarecgosa is extracted from Coldarra before anything happens to her. He asks you to accompany him, to ensure that she will be safe.

As with all predictions of that kind - things don't exactly go as planned...

Sadly, it seems that Kalecgos was right to be uneased. Kalecgos and yourself are ambushed by agents of the Twilight Dragonflight, and Tarecgosa sacrifices herself - just in time - to save Kalecgos' life. In order to safe her, and not die completely, Kalecgos asks to bind her essence to you.

This is the first time that a dragon essence has been bound to a mortal, which makes it quite an event. Sadly, it's only temporary for now - so, something has to be done, in order to save Tarecgosa!

Despite temporarily saving Tarecgosa by binding her to you, it can only be made permanent by a (seemingly only blue) Dragon Aspect - and the essence-binding itself won't last until Malygos' successor has been chosen. Fortunately, there is a way to extend the essence, but it requires powerful materials.

The quest provides no direct details itself as how to get the 1000 沸燃之烬, but we know at this time that they drop in stacks from bosses, in a way similar Shadowmourne's 影霜碎片 for the quest 碎裂的王座. The quantity is based on the difficulty (that is; normal/heroic and 10/25-man) in 火焰之地, and has been scaled up to counter against the simple "I got one!" versus "I didn't get one!".

After you've collected all 1000 沸燃之烬, meet up with Kalecgos at Coldarra again.

At this point, you have succeeded in extending Tarecgosa's essence within you. Kalecgos uses this to his advantage to get another vote to be Malygos' successor - as you can vote on behalf of Tarecgosa - so that her survival can be ensured. Kalecgos transforms you to temporarily take the form of Tarecgosa, so you can cast a vote in favor of him at the Ascension. During the very long (and very nice) cutscene, we experience both Arygos and Kalecgos each presenting a long monologue of why they should be voted for. At the end, Kalecgos gets all the votes, and is thus empowered to become the new Aspect of Magic. Arygos is enraged by this, and flies away, cursing everyone with the the outburst "Fools! Neltharion take you all!". His future - at this time - is unknown, but while we don't directly meet him again, his fate is revealed much later, although it still has a fair bit of uncertainty behind it.

After this event, the bond with Tarecgosa's essence is strengthened in the staff, further upgrading it, and making you the proud owner of 诺达希尔符文法杖! Not only that, but by receiving the staff, Tarecgosa is heard, saying "I'm with you, always.".

Very nice touch, and a fitting conclusion to a very impactful chapter of the story!

Now that Kalecgos has ascended to his new position as the Aspect of the Blue Dragonflight, he wants to thank you for all you have done. This will also mean that he needs to create a "more permanent home" for Tarecgosa, which requires some work.

In order to do that, your primary mission is to retrieve the 烈焰之心 from 拉格纳罗斯 in 火焰之地. However, you will also need to empower the Runestaff with 250 Smouldering Essences. This whole process has to be done serially, as the final part with Ragnaros will only trigger once you've gathered them all.

This somehow correlates with the quest 灵魂盛宴 for Shadowmourne, only this will be done by siphoning dead bosses with the 阴燃, by using the secondary effect of your staff: 虹吸精华. It's important to mention that this can only done to the first 6 bosses. As such, you CANNOT siphon essences from 拉格纳罗斯.

THE BELOW ONLY APPLIES TO NORMAL DIFFICULTY. On Heroic, the encounter is unaffected, and the 烈焰之心 is simply looted from Ragnaros afterwards.

250 Smouldering Essences烈焰之心拉格纳罗斯

You, the wielder of the staff, will have the debuff 拉格纳罗斯之怒.

Every minute, you'll get affected by 拉格纳罗斯之怒, the debuff counting down from 5 seconds. It is shown by a 地狱烈焰-like effect.

This means that you'll have to stay away from everyone else when the effect happens, as every person within 8 yards of you will be knocked back and take heavy damage.

You'll need to survive the ENTIRE encounter in order to be eligible to loot the 烈焰之心.

The Heart spawns in the middle of the Lava Pool. Be sure to have your healers spam heal you at this point. Don't worry, it doesn't matter if you die here, and the looting is instant.

Hallegosa tells you that the ceremony of handing over the 烈焰之心, and will accompany you to meet up with Kalecgos in your faction's major city (奥格瑞玛 or 暴风城). The ceremony is truly a sight to behold, and will leave a giant version of you sitting on top of Tarecgosa in the middle of your Faction Capital for a few hours. Not only that, but 蓝色幼龙 fly around the scene. Some of them can be spoken to, and explains the situation pretty nicely for those who pass by.

Still, there was much rejoicing, as 巨龙之怒，泰蕾苟萨的寄魂杖（公会版） also gives the whole guild the lovely 小泰蕾苟萨 as a companion. The essence of Tarecgosa shall live forever - with you.

During this quest, we inspect - and update the causes of death - for various deceased members of the Blue Dragonflight. The really interesting part, comes when suddenly spotting how Arygos is mentioned: "Deceased - Slain by Infinite dragonflight".

This actually fits incredibly well, given the earlier mentioned inconsistencies between Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects and how the Hour of Twilight was meant to come to pass. It's also acts as a rather subtle foreshadowing, given the expansion's overarching sidestory with the Infinite Dragonflight.

It's worth to note the details on both 玛里苟斯的残留精华 and 辛达苟萨的残留精华, in relation to 泰蕾苟萨的残响. There's obviously a huge difference, but it lays some important groundwork for the ritual therein.

After saying our goodbyes to Senegos in 平静的告别 - thus ending the "public" part of the questline - Kalecgos approaches us with a special matter. One he has postponed for too long. One regarding Tarecgosa.

This has a lovely bit of callback to the bonus dialogue, that was available after the quest 可靠情报 (see more here), in which we had our adventure with Tarecgosa with 一窥究竟. Kalecgos tells the following:

Kalecgos says: I have learned much in this short time on the isles, friend. And there is something I must do. My sister, you are not forgotten to me. You never will be. But you deserve more than an eternity alone.

You feel a familiar presence envelope you.

Tarecgosa whispers: Kalec... my friend, tell him -- no, it can wait. It is something I must say myself.

Kalecgos says: Tarecgosa's sacrifice was something which involved us both. I would be honored if you helped me send her to rest.

Tarecgosaforgot what happened almost 12 years ago化为一体Kalecgos says: Tarecgosa was destined for greatness, but destiny was not kind to her. After the Cataclysm, we were betrayed by one of our own. He chose to serve Deathwing. My sister threw herself in front of an attack meant for me, and suffered a mortal wound in the process. To prolong her time on Azeroth, we bound her soul to a staff. One that you now have in your possession.无尽的爱

Given alongside 莫失莫忘, this quest is rather trivial, as it only involves gathering 20x 瞬息之砂, which drops from various Time-Lost, found around The Temporal Conflux in south-eastern Thaldraszus.

The point is obviously to highlight the connection to the Bronze Dragonflight, in terms of the original creation of the staff, but not much besides that. I'd recommend gathering these after the first step of 莫失莫忘 - especially if you have your Hearthstone bound to Valdrakken - before continuing onward with the second step.

There's a lot more story going on in this quest, which is given alongside 无尽的爱, taking you two different places, before meeting up with Kalecgos again.

This time, we are tasked with finding a replacement for a bough of Nordrassil, from which our staff was made. This is found in the Manaheart Flower, which we must rejuvenate with the aid of the Green Dragonflight. As such, we journey to Vakthros, and find a 脆弱的魔力之心. Upon interacting with a lone Manaheart Bloom, surrounded by 火元素s, we suddenly hear a familiar voice:

Tarecgosa says: Know, mortal, that I do not resent our time together... nor Kalec's actions. I have seen so much of this world through your eyes. I could not imagine a world where our lives did not intersect.

Beautiful guide. Tons of information but laid out very very well. I think my favorite feature about the guide are the dynamic tables of contents that float on the right hand side. Even thought it takes years to scroll through the guide itself, you can click on what you think you want, and the guide takes you there.

Instead of listing a disclaimer at the top of the guide, which warns people about all the spoilers, you should just use the \ tag and put the entire guide in a spoiler box! Just kidding of course =P

I'm going to go a bit more into depth on my current step (光阴苦短) in regards to drop-rates as the next update, as it's not really as bad as it looks (1000!). I actually like what they did here, rather than the 25 or so drops from previous legendaries.

One thing I'd like to know:
Is it possible for multiple toons to do the quest at the same time?
What I mean is, that one toon is done with gathering Eternals, and starts to do the "charge a focus" quest and/or Cinders quest, does the boss still drop Eternals for those on stage 1 of the quest?

As far as drop-rates go, the amount of Seething Cinder per boss-kill vary raid size and difficulty, and should be expected to fall within these numbers:

I think the range on your 10 man quantities of 沸燃之烬 are too large. You can refer to this post which I will continue to maintain for our 10 man raid. The range I've seen reported for regular 10 man bosses is 18-23 and for heroic 23-26. Small data sets from the comments, but interestingly enough, the drop amounts listed by Wowhead per boss seem to match those ranges, showing 18-26 amounts before jumping to 25 man quantities, which appear to range from 48-66 though I am unaware of the individual difficulty ranges.

Your guide doesn't mention the fact that you have to survive the entire encounter with Ragnaros while attempting to retrieve the Heart of Ragnaros or you fail and have to try again.

That is where I've read in several locations... if that's not the case, feel free to let me know. :)

Edit: The guide does now indeed show the fact that you have to survive the encounter under the Ragnaros tab in Phase 3.

Currently in my 25 man heroic (6/7) I've been getting an average of 58 Seething cinders per boss Kill. 11 heroic bosses 2 regular bosses (havent downed rag heroic yet and had to do Baelroc on reg due to time constraints on this Thanksgiving week. Im usually getting 60-65 on heroic, 50-55 on reg.
Ill update this when I start collecting souls next week for 25 man Heroic siphons.

Concerning drop-rates for Smouldering Essences:

Since I didn't get to finish it before 4.3 I've been pugging some FL for remaining Essences (currently 150/250), and after a clear of the first 6 bosses I gained 23 total, where Shannox only dropped 3, where you show 4-6. I have personally never seen more than 5 btw.
On our 10man hc kills back in 4.2, I've seen drop range from 7-9, where the guide shows 7-8.

Great to see you keep polishing this one off, and I think I speak for the community when I praise this as the best guide ever. Well done mate :)

During our Ragnaros fight for 烈焰之心 we wiped but I used Invisibility to survive and mass res. I still had my 拉格纳罗斯之怒 buff and once we started the fight again it gave me an additional buff with its own timer.

I am currently on the last collecting phase (Smoldering Essences) and have been running 10H for the past couple of weeks and it seems the drop rate that I have been getting is 7-9, not 7-8. I realize that the +1 may not seem like a whole lot but I though everyone would like to know.

I do have a question about 烈焰之心 though. I have heard you can only loot it from Normal mode only?

Note: only 42 Essences left, then a Rag kill and I AM DONE! Woot.

Hello, great guide, been following it myself, but I have been stuck on the Delegation quest while soloing.

I was wondering if anyone else have had this problem?

Shannox- I can't pick up the shards, boss and adds keep breaking the loot process, and they de-spawn awfully quickly. They aren't up for 20 seconds and they are gone, so that rules out wipe/run in. (Treants don't taunt off me for some reason too).

Alysrazor - No problems, just stayed on the ground till I collected what I needed.

Lord Rhyolith - I can't see any shards at all. I have my Treants taunting so I can run around while searching. Wondering if a mechanic needs to trigger first? As the Shards of Torment don't spawn while I'm Tanking. Spent 5 min just running around looking for 1 shard.

Beth'tilac - I haven't tried this yet. Will update later.

But so far looks like certain classes might have more trouble doing this quest solo.

Soloing the chain is walk in the park until "Delegation" quest. Here are some tips.

Autoloot will be very useful for taking the fragments. Only the fragment looting is interruptible. You can complete the quest on any difficulty. I suggest not to kill any bosses while taking the shards since after delegation you are going to start collecting cinders from bosses. If you take the easy way and collect the charged shards on normal change the difficulty before killing Volcanus since killing it on a difficulty will save you to that difficulty.

Rhyolith: Just take the shard from the edge of island and drop them down. Kill the adds so they can not interrupt you.

Alysrazor: Don't fly and wait for the eggs to spawn. Kill the adds so they can't interrupt you.Kill the eggs and loot. When Alysrazor lands and gains energy you can drop the shard.

Shannox: You should not have the aggro because Shannox does not spawn traps to his main target. You should have some kind of pet. Soloed this with druids force of nature but an intelligent pet with a control bar will be much more easier. Because having boss's aggro is not enough your pet should also get trapped so you can kill the trap and get the shards.

Beth'tilac: Change the difficulty to 10-m if it is not already.

If you insist on heroic: You should kill every Cinderweb Spinner because if not killed they use a 20-30 sec stun ability and if there is more than one they can chain stun you to your death. In heroic 10-man-h they come in pairs. Since the small adds spawn a pool upon their death you should kill them away from Cinderweb Drone. Kill the Drone get the shards if you are fast enough you can take the last rope to the top before the first Smoldering Devastation. You will drop down kill the next Spinner, get back up and get your charged shard.

Having a Mage's Invisibility / Greater Invisibility or a Invisibility potion is very handy during the Delegation section of the quest line just in case something goes wrong as it allows you to reset the fight. Also if you find yourself unable to pick up fragments due to being constantly attacked you can get them to spawn and then reset the fight by using a Invis Pot / Mage spell and they should still be on the ground. You may also use them to end the fight without killing the bosses after you get the Focus from each boss to open the Circle of Thorns, after you get them you will also need a fresh kill on the first 4 bosses later in the quest chain.

Tip 1 - don't forget to loot the eye after you complete the 1st quest, "Anachronos".
Tip 2 - The Nexus is located at the bottom of the structure in Coldarra. I have trouble remembering which is which.

I know that everyone's probably done this to death, but I'm spending some time with my Lvl 101 fire mage for the first time in a while, and thought I'd do the legendary staff quest line for a bit of fun. I realise it's completely unlikely that I'll get a response to this, but I have this questline on my Druid, but my mage (Same realm & faction) is unable to pick up the starter quest, despite already clearing ALL the raids in this tier outside of FL/DS. Can someone point me in the right direction? Zidormi is NOT in Grommash hold - (Neither is Sylvannas), and it doesn't come up when I clear Molten Lords OR the 5 pack patrols. Help please?

This quest chain has been very badly nerf'd as of 8.2.5.

With the inclusion of firelands Timewalking the highest difficulty you can now enter the raid on is 10Hc due to the flex mode scaling, which essentially halves your item pickup rate for some of the collection quest and thus, nearly doubling the time it takes to finish the questchain

only thing is, where u go when u use all the 4 charged foci and go in i guess a portal and i guess this "Inside the Anvil of Conflagration" that looks like its described for when it was current, what about for like a max lvl toon (at this point in time lvl 70) the enemies in there can u just insta burn them like you would naturally do due to being massively overpowed to the raid or do they require "special dances" too like the main bosses did to get the charged foci

Cataclysm Timewalking features Firelands as the Timewalking Raid, and you can get Seething Cinders from Normal, Heroic, and Timewalking Firelands separately! 3 full instances in one week!

Is this available when playing as a hunter? Comments from 2016 are stating it's only available if you play as druids, mages, priests, shaman, and warlocks- But is that still the case today?
