Mining TWW Overview Mining TWW Specializations
Why is Mining Useful in Dragonflight?
采矿
is the process of extracting useful ores and other materials from special nodes that appear all across the world, though these tend to be more concentrated in rocky terrain. Like in previous expansions, in Dragonflight an ore node will disappear several seconds after it is mined for the first time, but multiple miners can harvest it until it disappears.
In Dragonflight, there are only two ore nodes -- but a wide number of variations on these. There are three ore types, but one is a rare side gather. One of the biggest reasons to mine besides gathering ore is to collect valuable Rousing essences, which are required for high-end profession recipes in most manufacturing professions.
Dragonflight also adds Specializations to Mining. As you mine across the Dragon Isles, you will build Knowledge Points that you can use to apply to a sort of mini-talent tree for Mining. Depending on what you pick, you can increase your ore yields, improve your chances of getting rare side gathers and Rousing essences, learn to mine mounted, and refine your ores to higher quality levels.
It also introduces secondary stats specifically for Mining, which also improve your gathering speed, increase yields, and improve your chances of finding rare items!
One major change in Dragonflight mining is that, unlike Shadowlands, there are no stones, such as
暗纹石
.
This looks totally safe.
Making Gold with Mining
There are three professions that rely on Miners to provide raw materials --
锻造
,
工程学
, and
珠宝加工
. In addition, all crafters will need Rousing Essences for their professions, and Miners can provide
活力之土
,
活力之火
, and
活力秩序
through mining Elemental nodes. In War Mode, you can also collect
活力暴怒
from certain types of deposits.
Whichever direction you want to concentrate for specialization -- maximum yield, refining ore for higher quality, farming Rousing Essences, or a mix of the three -- you'll be providing a valuable service for those across the Dragon Isles looking to craft armor, jewelry, and engineered gadgetry at the very highest levels.

Learning to Mine in Dragonflight
Unlike in previous expansions, you must learn Dragonflight Mining to mine any ore in the Dragon Isles. In most other expansions, you could still mine a node without the expansion skill; you just couldn't get skill from it. This is why it's very important to visit your Dragonflight Mining trainer before you go running off into the wilds!
There are two Mining Trainers in the Dragon Isles; fortunately, the first one is very easy to find, because he's right in the first major quest area.

Leveling Mining
The simple answer is this: mine everything you come across. Once you're past Mining 50, prioritize any deposits with modifiers (Hardened, Titan-Touched, etc), as the unmodified mines will stop giving you skill points, either at 50 (Serevite) or 55 (Draconium).
The Mining Journal
Your Mining Journal is where you can track your progress with all kinds of mining activities. These traits will change based on your level, your Specializations, and any Profession accessories or tools you may be using. Here are two examples of journals from a low-level miner versus one with much higher skill:
As you can see, the journal fills in as you make discoveries. With the inexperienced miner, only the sections for Serevite and Khaz'gorite are started, because this player has not yet found Draconium. The experienced miner has a much fuller list, including several different subtypes of each mine. The colored arrows indicates whether the miner can get skill from that node, using the usual Orange, Yellow, and Green indicators, with no arrow if the deposit is trivial. It also lists other skills the miner may have gotten through Specializations, such as the ability to Refine Ore, if the miner has Specialized into these skills.
In addition, you can see information about the difficulty, as well as the modified Skill, Finesse, Deftness, and Perception the miner has built through tools and specializations.
Incidentally, there are also journal pages for some of the other expansions, although not all of them will have information beyond the skill level in that expansion's Mining. It will only show further information for those few expansions (e.g. Legion) where you got specialized skills in particular mines.

Dragonflight Mining Nodes
Mining deposits in Dragonflight have two defining traits:
the type of standard ore you can collect from it
the node's modifier, which can give extra resources and/or debuffs. Mining deposits can only have 1 modifier.
Base Mining Deposits
While there are three types of ore you can mine in the Dragon Isles, there are only two base types of ore nodes. These can be found in all four zones, usually in rocky areas and inside caves.
There is only one type of ore node -- either
宁铁矿脉
or
龙银矿脉
can appear in any type. They can be Unmodified, or Modified (see below). Draconium seems to appear slightly more often in out-of-the-way or dangerous places. However, there is no such thing as a "Serevite node" or "Draconium node".
Important note to all miners:
The most common spawn to appear in any node is an unmodified
宁铁矿脉
. Until it's mined, it cannot spawn something different, more interesting, or more valuable. If all players skip picking normal Serevite, eventually the entire zone could be replaced by nothing but ordinary Serevite deposits. This is a common issue on highly populated servers. If you want to keep interesting things spawning, it's important to stop and clear nodes of unmodified Serevite. Consider this an exercise in geological maintenance.
宁铁矿脉
- Can be mined for skill up to
采矿
(50). This always produces
宁铁矿石
, along with a few standard side gathers such as +Knowledge items and
盐层
s.
龙银矿脉
- Can be mined for skill up to
采矿
(100). This always produces
龙银矿石
, along with a few standard side gathers such as +Knowledge items and
盐层
s.
Serevite Deposit, Draconium Deposit
卡兹格罗金矿石
is a rare side gather from both
宁铁矿脉
or
龙银矿脉
, but is more commonly found from mining
龙银矿脉
. If you do find it in
宁铁矿脉
, it's almost always from a modified mining deposit. Seek out Draconium mines and hope for the best is the only way to target-farm
卡兹格罗金矿石
.
Knowledge Earned:
+1 Knowledge the first time you strike a new type of mine. This earns a total of +2 Knowledge for each of the two base mining deposits.
Mining Deposit Modifiers
There are six modifiers any standing Mining deposit can have:
Hardened, Infurious, Molten, Primal, Rich,
and
Titan-Touched
. These tend to be more common in certain areas than others, and both mine types can appear with any of these modifiers. Most modified nodes also yield higher base ore rates. Five of the six also offer standard secondary Rousing item gathers. Some offer specific +1 Knowledge items as rare side gathers.
Miners who specialize in specific modified deposits will get additional bonus effects from mining them. These are explained in more detail under Specializations.
Knowledge Earned:
You earn +1 Knowledge the first time you pick any new subtype of each of the two base mines.
For example, you will get +1 Knowledge the first time you farm a
熔火宁铁矿脉
, a
富宁铁矿脉
, a
富龙银矿脉
, etc. This will give you a maximum of +12 Knowledge points from discovery of each subtype. If a Mining Deposit represents both the first type of the mine AND modifier, such as
硬化龙银矿脉
, you would learn +1 Knowledge for the Draconium and +1 Knowledge for a Hardened version of the Draconium.
Five of the six types are
Elemental
mines. This means that not only do they drop Rousing elemental items, but they also can be modified with an ability called a
过载元素采矿点
if you specialize into Elemental deposits. This will be explained later in the guide.
All
Modified
deposits give skill up through 100 even if they are based on Serevite. They are in alphabetical order, not in order of frequency:
Hardened
Node Type
: Elemental
Secondary Gather
:
活力之土
Hardened notes are protected by an additional layer of thick rock, and take slightly longer to mine (
very
slightly; it took me awhile even to notice).
They can also yield the rare +1 Knowledge side gather
坚韧的大块岩石
.
Miners who specialize in Hardened mines gain
硬化皮肤
when they mine them, reducing damage taken by 5% for 2 minutes.
Infurious
Node Type
: Elemental - War Mode Only
Secondary Gather
:
活力暴怒
Infurious mines
only
appear when you are in War Mode. While players who do not normally do War Mode do not need
活力暴怒
, which is traded for PvP gear, it's worth going after each of the four Infurious mines once, since you do get valuable
巨龙群岛采矿知识
Points for adding these to your Journal.
Gathering an Infurious mine gives
战斗狂怒
, which gives a chance when slaying enemy players to gain Rousing Ire. Further mining extends the duration.
Molten
Node Type
: Elemental
Secondary Gather
:
活力之火
Molten deposits are enveloped in flames, and are more common in volcanic areas. When you mine a Molten Deposit, you are affected by
闷烧矿石
, suffering Fire damage for 20 seconds or until submerged in water. This can also be removed by dispelling or applying an immunity such as
圣盾术
or
暗影斗篷
.
If you don't have any of these available, sit and start eating to keep ahead of the damage. This spell doesn't have an interrupt component, and you can almost always survive it this way.
They can also yield the rare +1 Knowledge side gather
加热的矿石样本
.
Primal
Node Type
: Elemental
Secondary Gather
:
活力之土
,
活力之火
, and/or
活力之火
Primal nodes are touched by multiple elements, meaning that you can get a mix of Rousing Elements. Usually this is a mix of
活力之土
,
活力之火
, and/or
活力秩序
. By specializing in Primal nodes, you also have a small chance to loot
活力之气
and
活力之霜
as a rare side gather.
Primal nodes can also yield the rare +1 Knowledge side gather
元素注能之石
.
Miners who specialize in Primal nodes can eventually learn
爆炸性元素
, which allows you to reduce Overload cooldown by 30%. They also have a chance to deal bonus Elemental damage with spells and abilities for 2 minutes.
Rich
Node Type
: Standard
Secondary Gather
: None
Rich nodes don't offer any special secondary gathers. They simply have a lot more base ore available. This is not considered an Elemental mine. These appear as enlarged versions of the normal mine.
Titan-Touched
Node Type
: Elemental
Secondary Gather
:
活力秩序
Titan-Touched mines are often in very out-of-the-way places that involve having to use Dragonriding to reach, and/or very close to dangerous mobs.
You gain
启迪潜能
when gathering a Titan-Touched node, which increases speed by 15%. Gatherers who specialize in Titan-Touched will also have their secondary profession stats increased by 3%.
Using the Overloaded Elemental Deposit
Every miner receives
过载元素采矿点
the first time they mine an Elemental mining node (Hardened, Infurious, Molten, Primal, and Titan-Touched). This item has a 12-hour cooldown until you open the
控制元素
tree.
Opening
控制元素
allows you to reduce the cooldown by mining more nodes within the Dragon Isles. At the beginning, every 2 nodes reduces the cooldown by 1 hour, so you can clear the entire cooldown at once by mining 24 mines. The first mine you pick only takes off a couple minutes, and the second mine knocks off the rest of the hour. You can further reduce the cooldown through Specialization points.
To use the
过载元素采矿点
, stand close to the mine in question, cast
过载元素采矿点
, and you'll get a special effect based on the type of ore deposit.
Out of the five node types, only two (Hardened and Molten) have a guarantee of granting extra Rousing Essences (and Hardened usually has better yields than Molten). Primal and Infurious give you buffs, and Titan-Touched can teleport you to another nearby node (if there is one) which may or may not be an Elemental node.
Below the discussion of the tree is a full description of how the
过载元素采矿点
works and the effects you can expect.
Hardened
Overloading a Hardened mining deposit creates 3-4 Hardened Chunks, which can be looted for extra
活力之土
. These are rocks on the ground or embedded in nearby walls. Sometimes they even end up behind the node itself and you can't see them. Just mouse around until you get an icon, or wait until the node disappears. You can zoom in on your minimap to see if you have left any chunks behind before you leave.
Infurious
Remember - you must be in War Mode to get an Infurious mine.
When you Overload an Infurious mine, you get a 10-minute buff,
血腥过载
, which increases your size and increases your stats by 10%. It also knocks back any enemies that might be nearby.
Molten
Overloading a Molten deposit summons a
狂怒火焰
, a hostile Fire elemental. It's not that difficult to kill. Loot it for extra
活力之火
.
It looks worse than it is. Honest.
Primal
Overload a Primal node and you'll get four Elemental buffs based for the other four types. These buffs last 3 minutes. Supposedly, mining more nodes extends the duration, but this doesn't appear to be working as intended.
熔岩之怒
- Envelops you in flame which causes your attackers to suffer 1717 Fire damage.
硬化皮肤
- Damage taken reduced by 5%.
启迪潜能
- Absorbed the elemental power from a titan-touched vein. Speed increased by 15%. All secondary stats increased by 3%.
爆炸性元素
- Absorbed the elemental power from a primordial ore vein. Overload cooldown reduction when mining nodes is increased by 30%.
Titan-Touched
Overloading a Titan-Touched deposit opens a portal that can take you to another nearby node. Make sure you loot the first Titan-Touched deposit before you step inside! If there isn't a node in a certain radius, it will just drop you where you started.
If you have opened the
泰坦点化
specialization, it will also open a portal on the other node so you can return to your original spot.
This looks totally safe ...
Rock Walls
As you soar through Dragon Isles with Find Minerals on, you'll occasionally see a marked node called a
岩墙
. It's a pile of rocks blocking an entrance, usually to a small cave that may contain a mining/herbalism node or two. Very occasionally it opens into a larger cave series (this is fairly common in Thaldraszus), and sometimes these can contain more important things, like a
排列不整齐的魔网水晶
in the Azure Span. There are usually no mobs inside, but very rarely you'll find one that's occupied. These can either be out in the open, down low, up high, or behind waterfalls. If you're a miner, you'll see these sparkling and they will show up on your minimap if you have
寻找矿物
turned on.
Mining a
岩墙
gives Mining skill through Mining (40).
Miners can click the
岩墙
to bring it down temporarily.
Opening a
岩墙
does not contribute toward the mining requirements to reduce the cooldown on an
过载元素采矿点
.
Rock Walls will stay down for about 15 minutes, at which point they will reform. This isn't a problem if you are a Miner and can get yourself out, but once the wall is down, anyone can come inside. For unwary travelers who suddenly find themselves walled up in a small cave tomb, there's a way out. Near the rock wall, you'll find a small golden
铁铲
lying on the ground. Clicking the Shovel will teleport you to just outside the cave, where you can go on your way.
Non-Miners can get through Rock Walls with
探险队炸药
, available with Renown 20 with Dragonscale Expedition.
You can use your Mining skill to get the pet
卡布里
! There is a Rock Wall-covered cave in Thaldraszus at /way 52.46 83.61. This is a time-affected area; you'll take constant damage from
时空冲击
while you are there, so step lively! Inside the cave you'll find
奇怪的熊崽
; pick him up to get
卡布里
.
Isn't it worth digging through a rock wall, risking your life in a time-corrupted area,
to get a little bear of your own?
Specializations and Knowledge Points in Dragonflight
Each Profession has its own Specialization Tree. Crafting profession trees focus on learning new recipes, creating items to improve your crafting, and increasing crafting Secondary Skills, which allow players to create better items. Gathering profession trees improve gathering yields, give better chances of collecting rare items, allow gathering while mounted, and even give one gathering profession a small crafting component. Secondary Skills (Fishing and Cooking) do not have specialization trees.
Unlocking Specializations requires a minimum skill level of 25 in that profession. You use Knowledge Points earned in various ways to unlock various branches of the Specialization tree.
What are Knowledge Points?
Knowledge is a new currency that you will acquire during Dragonflight. These points can be spent in your profession's Specialization Trees to improve your crafting ability.
Knowledge Point changes are permanent!
Once you use a Knowledge Point and save your changes, you will not be able to adjust it later.
The way you spend Knowledge is very important. While it is possible to learn everything a Specialization has to offer, this system is meant to take a significant time investment to maximize. Because
there is no current way to refund Knowledge
, choosing starter builds wisely is crucial.
Unlearning the profession and then re-acquiring it will
not
reset or refund spent Knowledge Points.
You will get back everything you'd learned through Specialization, as well as any unspent points, although you'll still return to Skill (1) and have to re-learn any recipes.
There are many different ways to earn Knowledge Points, including but not limited to first-time gathers, random drops, special trainers, quests, and Renown. For complete and up-to-date information on earning Knowledge Points, please see our guides:
Earning Profession Knowledge Points in Dragonflight Knowledge Point Treasure Locations
Profession Traits in Mining
Miners have three Profession traits: Deftness, Finesse, and Perception. These are raised primarily through Specializations. Although these can be more complicated, the tl;dr version is below:
Deftness:
Increases how fast you mine and extract ore. 3 points of Deftness gives +1%.
Finesse:
Allows you to extract more ore from mines.10 points of Finesse gives +1%.
Perception:
Increases your chance of finding rare side gathers, including more Rousing Essence. 10 points of Perception gives +1%.
Mining Specializations in Dragonflight
This section summarizes the three Specialization trees for Mining.
Mining Process
Best for:
Those wanting to farm ore while mounted, maximize gathering yields, and get increased gem drops
采矿流程
concentrates on proper mining technique, giving you additional Deftness, Finesse, and Perception when mining all types of nodes. Once the core of this is maxxed out, you'll be able to mine mounted. This has three sub-specializations.
分类
greatly increases your skill and Finesse when mining, allowing you to extract more ore.
勘测
improves your ability to find deposits and rare materials found within, increasing your Perception and giving you a chance to extract
无限钻石
s from Rich nodes.
工业化
increases Deftness, which helps you extract ore more quickly and efficiently, ending with a chance to find Gems whenever you mine.
Metallurgy
Best For:
Those who wish to refine ores to higher quality (spoiler: this sounds like a better idea than it is)
The apparent bonus to
冶金
is being able to refine
宁铁矿石
,
龙银矿石
, and
卡兹格罗金矿石
, which upgrades the quality (1 to 2 for Serevite and Draconium, 2 to 3 for Khaz'gorite). However, this is usually a money-wasting proposition, since no quality of ore generally sells for 5x the price of the next lower quality.
Sub-specializing in
宁铁
allows it to be refined from Quality 2 to 3, and increases Deftness, Finesse, and Perception when mining Serevite nodes. At the end of this tree, you have a chance to find Gems when refining Serevite. Sub-specializing in
龙银
has a similar effect when refining Draconium, except that in the end you have a chance to get random Rousing essences instead of gems. But since Refining is such a bad deal economically, these probably aren't something you're going to want to put points into until you have nothing left to spend them on.
Mastering the Elements
Best For:
Those who wish to prioritize gathering Rousing Essences
Choosing
控制元素
gives you +1 Skill per point when mining Elemental deposits. It also gives the ability to affect a cooldown on your
过载元素采矿点
, which normally has a static 12-hour cooldown. It also improves your skill while mining, allowing you to extract more Rousing elements from them.
You can also specialize in any or all Elemental nodes above except Infurious, reducing or eliminating their negative effects and giving you greater Deftness, Finesse, and Perception gathering these special nodes.
Mining Specialization in Dragonflight Mining Profession Tree Calculator in Dragonflight
Mining Accessories and Tools in Dragonflight
Mining allows two Mining Accessories and one Mining Tool to improve your Mining skill. Higher skill gives higher yields and a better chance to extract more and higher-quality ores.
The great thing about Profession Accessories is that you'll automatically "equip" them when you mine (your appearance will even change) but they will not actually replace your head armor, cloak, or weapon. The appearance may linger after you're done, but it will change back to normal when you enter combat.
If you prefer to have your profession accessories and tool
not
appear as often while you're not gathering, visit

Dragonriding and Mining
One of the most useful things you can do to build your gathering ability is to invest some time into getting all or most of your Dragonriding glyphs. Thankfully, once you have done this on one character, you don't have to repeat the process on others, but your first gatherer should make this a top priority.
For more information about Dragonriding and improving your Dragonriding skill, please see this guide:
Dragonriding Basics in Dragonflight
Every miner will have this question: will I be able to mine mounted in Dragonflight?
The answer is yes, but you'll need to invest 35 Knowledge points into the
采矿流程
Specialization tree to get that ability.
The two key features for Dragonriding that you want to focus on as a gatherer are Vigor and Vigor Regeneration when not flying. Mostly the Dragonriding skill path is linear, but there are a few points when you need to make choices.
For active gatherers, these are our recommendations for the decision points. These can be changed at will without any additional cost, so consider these the recommendations you take when you are out on a farming expedition.
Choice:
驭空者的怜悯
over
驭龙者的突袭
驭空者的怜悯
builds stacks of
驭龙者的怜悯
while airborne, giving you an absorb shield and 1% movement speed per stack (up to 10) upon landing. This gives you some protection and foot speed when you land near a node, which can help if you didn't land quite next to it as you'd intended.
驭龙者的突袭
can be dangerous for a gatherer due to the shockwave, especially since many times you'll find either Neutral or hostile mobs near a desirable node. You could turn a situation where you could have gathered in peace into a fight when it wasn't necessary.
Choice:
驭空者之育
over
驭空捕猎
驭空者之育
will help you keep going longer between gathers. This was improved to increasing your Vigor recharge rate by 400% for 3 seconds. Anything that improves your Vigor recharge rate is great, since you're a start-and-stop Dragonrider. If you're a more casual farmer who just does this on the side of questing and fighting,
驭空捕猎
isn't a bad choice, although
驭空者之育
still gives you much better Vigor recovery. Even casual farmers may choose to land on a node simply for the boost.
Choices:
渴望苍穹
,
自在云霄
, and
浩瀚无限
At the end of your Dragonriding tree, you'll get to branch off into three choices. This is the order we recommend for a gatherer. You'll eventually get all three.
渴望苍穹
should be your first pick. Since gatherers are always starting and stopping, improved Vigor regeneration over time is a bit speedier than getting a sixth Vigor bubble.
自在云霄
generates 1 Vigor every 5 seconds. The only reason we don't take this one first is that this is a great thing to have in some zones but not as helpful in others. It's great in Waking Shores and Thaldraszus, where there are big elevation changes and it's easy to get those swoops going. It's not as useful in flatter ranges such as Ohn'ahran Plains or especially in Azure Span, where your opportunities for Thrill of the Skies aren't as good.
浩瀚无限
increases your vigor to 6. And now you can also fill it faster!

First, whew!
But honestly, I find so refreshing that even as a Gatherer I have important choices to make since Knowledge seems to be slow to get. Like, do I go for Mining Process for Quantity or Metalurgy for Quality? Is it more worth to put in the market tons of ores of lesser value or get better ores of better value but much slower? Maybe try to get the core of MP first to be able to gather while mounted and then switch to Metalurgy? Maybe Mastering The Elements is gonna be secret OP cause the other two seem at first glance better options, so if you specialize in the least popular option you will have a bigger market share in the Awakened thingies. Honestly, I love this.

Found a typo in this section:
Mining Accessories and Tools in Dragonflight
Mining allows two Mining Accessories and one MiningTool to improve your
HERBALISM
skill. Higher skill gives higher yields and a better chance to extract more and higher-quality ores.
I've got to say, I'm totally overwhelmed by this whole thing. Have done mining and jewelcrafting since BC on my main but I'm wondering if it's going to be possible to learn both. If Jewelcrafting is as involved as this, I may have to just do one thing.

You have two items the wrong way around in respect of Profession equipment:
The Mining Hats (Accessories) are made with Blacksmithing:
Draconium Delver's Helmet - learned from the Profession Trainer with Blacksmithing (5), +22 Deftness, +22 Perception
Khaz'gorite Delver's Helmet - learned from Weaponsmithing > Axes, Picks & Polearms, +36 Deftness, +36 Perception, +6 Mining
The Mining Back pieces (Accessories) are made with Engineering:
Bottomless Stonecrust Ore Satchel - learned from the Profession Trainer with Engineering (15), +44 Finesse
Bottomless Mireslush Ore Satchel - made from Schematic: Bottomless Mireslush Ore Satchel, which requires Renown 15 with Dragonscale Expedition, +72 Finesse, +6 Mining
The Mining Tools are made with Engineering:
Draconium Pickaxe - learned from the Profession Trainer with Engineering (15), +6 Mining
Khaz'gorite Pickaxe - made from Schematic: Khaz'gorite Delver's Helmet, which requires Renown 19 with Valdrakken Accord, +10 Mining
The mining hats are made via Engineering, and the mining tools are made with Blacksmithing.

It's insane how many mistakes there are in this "guide".

i know these guides are a hazardeous amount of work, but copy n paste makes them weird:
Mining allows two Mining Accessories and one MiningTool to improve your Herbalism skill.
there are a loot of them, get someone you trust to read it for correction.

I got to 100 DF mining in about 2 partial days on my hunter mostly as I leveled to 70, skill ups dramatically slow down towards the end as you have to find rich, titan, molten or elemental nodes to get skill at the end.
My recommendations for anyone doing DF mining is to get all 48 riding glyphs as soon as you can. You can get most of them with the base riding skills but some are extremely high up and require the extra points to reach. Invest in the 346 mining gear, its basically the same price as the lower quality on my server but gives more bonus points.
Deftness is mining speed, only if you are very high skill and will naturally get better ores this is better.
Perception is better quality ore, if you are looking especially for more rank 3 ores, only if you are chasing the highest quality mats.
Finesse is more quantity, I suggest this if you are mining to skillup another craft and many of your crafts are going to be disenchanted or sold.
Draconium often but not always spawns on top of the pillars in waking shores, serevite I found the easiest places were to fly along rivers and streams. Molten points are not always in the lava areas. Your dragon tends to keep momentum if you land slowly and will walk off the edge of a cliff. Try to land hard and it will just stop. For the most part aggro wasnt much of an issue.
Put your first 50 knowledge into getting mounted mining. I forgot it was a thing and started spending points in other categories and regret it now.
I have routinely seen 12 serevite ores from 1 rich node so right now farming is pretty lucrative.

巨龙知识碎片
- After completing The Master of Their Craft with Khadin in Ohn'ahran Plains, you will be given a repeatable turn-in based on your profession to reward you 3 Knowledge Points and 50x Artisan's Mettle.
Just only one Knowledge Points per turn now.

Not sure if it's mentioned in the guide, but the cooldown of

is reduced by 30 minutes per mine.

I feel Blizzard messed up Ore quality / Skill level / Knowledge points.
Draconium Deposit "primary eagent difficulty: 155"
But I already got my first 3* (gold) quality Draconium Ore with overall skill 103 (= Dragon Isles mining skill 75, Metallurgy spec 28) and a few skillpoints ago I always get 2* (silver).
So my Refine Draconium 2* (silver) became pretty much useless.
Now I'm sad that I already spent my first 23 Knowledge points on Metallurgy.
Serevite Depost is similar: I have now use for Refine Serevite 2* (silver) because I no longer get 1* (bronze) ore.

The
卡兹格罗金钻研者的头盔
at rank 1 is the same as
龙银钻研者的头盔
and seems hardly worth it for the cost involved even if you get it to rank 3-5.

I like how at first it's "the unmodified mines will stop giving you skill points 55 (Draconium)" and then suddenly Draconium "can be mined for skill up to Mining (100)" seeing as the way it's written the second time you're still referring to unmodified draconium mines.
For those, like me, who
didn't
read this through carefully from beginning to end: Draconium definitely turns grey long before skill level 100, and maybe the author would correct that in the guide!

In reference to Molten deposits:
<<sit and start eating to keep ahead of the damage. This spell doesn't have an interrupt component, and you can almost always survive it this way.>>
THANK YOU so very much for this! I would never have thought of eating to offset the damage as I am so used to eating always being interrupted by damage. :D
