Holy Paladin Overview
Holy Paladin is a One-handed weapon, shield and plate wearing healer specialization with a wide range of damage reductions and defensives. We specialize in healing specific targets with large single target heals, commonly referred to as “spot healing”. Holy Paladin gets access to the iconic

at level 16, which allows us to keep a specific target healed while healing other allies who might need it!
Besides the classic healer resource, mana, all Paladin specializations, including Holy, also use the combo-point-esque special resource called Holy Power. Most of our spells generate this resource which we can then use to cast our most powerful heals,

More Facts and Background about Holy
Paladins start off at level 1.
Paladin can select from a variety of races, on the Alliance side you can select from Human, Dwarf, Dark Iron Dwarf, Draenei and Lightforged Draenei. On the Horde side you can pick between Blood Elf, Tauren or Zandalari Troll.
Holy Paladin can equip Swords, Maces, Axes and Shields. You should only use weapons that have Intellect on them though!

Holy Paladin Changes in Patch 11.0.5
With Patch 11.0.5, Holy Paladin got a fair number of changes, most of them to our Class Talent Tree, which has essentially received a full rework. I go over how the changes affect us in depth in

, but the short of it all is that it doesn't affect our core gameplay in any appreciable way.
The goal of the Class Tree Changes seems to have been to give us more small utility options to pick from by making the tree less focused on strong throughput talents. The most impactful change is the removal of

hello,
Thank you for this holy pally guide.
i just want to point out.... sometime you dont have time to build holy power. all you can do is spam your filler heals to get holy power. but at tha tpoint people die. you cant control people who stand in things. and wha tim tryign to get at is i love changes but i due feel like holy pally needs somthing to help or a boast to there basic heals... im having toruble healing anythign over a 10 right now. and i just feel like my pally can be lacking a ttimes.

I am starting up Holy Paladin again and I believe that class to be a type of Bard class. A holy paladin just tags along behind the tank and keeps the whole party happy in a dungeon run. I noticed maybe the tanks being overzealous and they would pull 5-7 groups of monsters just to look pro like a Blizzard esports even and it just doesn't work. I believe the tank would do that because the player sees almost a full mana bar. That mana is not nice to drain to 0 but holy paladin can adjust the playing style for it with very nice flash heals and maybe eating up a storm. Maybe get some mana regeneration items before just flash healing because flash heal was meant for the "preachers" not the "entertainers"
I think that is why Holy Paladin has a nice set of armor to wear because the hard knocks that the tank is suppose to get go to the Holy Paladin.
Have you heard the saying from a bard. "I will feel your pain if you get punched in the face and I will save you from your demise."
Somehow Holy Paladin is perceived to be a "thug" even more than a rouge. I guess a nice tattooed cross on the chest to the bottom of the belly perception. Maybe the number "44" on a shoulder too.

9.2 changes need correction:
Avenging Wrath rank 3 is removed, not rank 2z
And no matter what datamining says the 6% core ability buff is only for healing. This was tested on PTR and is what was posted on official patch notes.

why would you take avenging wrath: might over avenging crusader in a raid setting? avenging crusader is HUGE for raid. strength of conviction also seems like a weird pick for raids. you should really be relying on lod for the most part.
