Garona is a a legendary follower from the 6.1 part of the legendary questline.

She comes with two abilities by default (early PTR blogs stated she would have 3), as well as the unique 刺客大师, which greatly increases success chance against all targets. She also starts off at ilvl 630, instead of ilvl 600 like every other level 100 follower.

She counts as a Draenei for the Alliance (filter) and an Orc for the Horde (filter). Players were worried that she'd be like 兰特瑞索·火刃 which only counts as an Orc, but that is not the case.

The Abilities tab on the Related section shows the pool of abilities she can potentially get as an Assassination Rogue if you choose to reroll her abilities. Follower abilities are not totally random--each follower class and spec has a handful of abilities assigned to it.

I think Garona herself deserves a unique special ability, considering how powerful she actually is.

EDIT: After further reading, there's a ''Master Assassin'' ability on the strings. It must be her actual unique ability.

Update:

Garona Halforcen is a legendary follower who comes with two abilities, three traits including the unique Master Assassin, and a starting ilvl of 630. She benefits from Ally of Argus for the Alliance and Child of Draenor for the Horde.

Well..... Garona. I never saw this coming. But I'm keeping an open mind, because this aint over till the fat lady sings.

She could be just Red Herring to distract us from the real legendary follower. Remember Hogs? he was added too to distract us from the real rewards of the 10th anniversary of wow, complete with Feat of Strength saying he was the reward for the 10th anniversary. Turns out he was just a diversion.

Until I actually see people on the PTR getting her, I'm cautiously gonna take these news with a moderate amount of salt.

Before anyone asks regarding how this messes up the lore: This is AU (Alternate Universe) Garona, not MU (Main Universe) Garona whom Horde were most likely acquainted with in Twilight Highlands.

Now to clear the air on how you acquire her: It seems in the next step of the Legendary questline, after capturing Garona Khadgar has a plan to use her to track down Gul'dan (whom he had trouble finding during this quest) to finally dispatch of Gul'dan. Yet during this event Gul'dan (while being Gul'dan of course), will escape and in the process take control of Garona in which you will free her (judging by this text datamined from MMO-Champ) by gaining control of the Orb of Dominion and will then *hopefully* destroy it.

It should maybe play out like this:

*You, Khadgar, Cordana Felsong, and Garona arrive at a Shadow Council lair.*

Garona: This is a highly fortified high-security bastion. Only a fool would go in there without an army. I mean... good luck, Champion.

Cordana Felsong: I don't like this.

*You and your party enter the Shadow Council lair.*

*You come upon a chamber with the Orb of Dominion inside.*

Khadgar: Come with me. This is exactly what I need to undo Gul'dan's hold on Garona. <Khadgar gives you a comforting pat on the shoulder.>

Cordana Felsong. That is dark magic you're working with.

Khadgar: We're using the tools of our enemy against them.

Cordana Felsong: You are using the tools of our enemy!

*Garona most likely stabs you.

Insert you name here: gasps in pain.

*Garona then most likely attacks.*

Garona: Haven't you given up already, mage?

Khadgar: Not 'til my dying breath. I will end your torment, Garona.

Cordana Felsong: Quickly, destroy that thing!

*Khadgar begins an incantation.*

Khadgar: Om na ka om, Fel na om kal...

*A battle between you and Garona ensues. Cordana will most likely aid you. You are already defeated in battle until Khadgar completes his incantation and Garona is free from Gul'dan's mind control.*

Khadgar: Awaken, Garona. You are free at last.

Garona: Gul'dan... he's not in my head anymore...

I owe everything to you! To both of you!

Khadgar: Come with me, Garona. Together we will plan for Gul'dan's downfall.

Garona: I will do whatever it takes to stop Gul'dan. Wherever you lead, I will follow... commander!

*The quest ends and you are awarded with Garona, Master Assassin.*

Please note that this may NOT be the actual order of how the text is supposed to be, put in terms of how the events will play out this seems like the most likely scenario. Otherwise this seems like a really awesome epic event for a Legendary quest and I can't wait to play through it! /cheers

Verry few info about Garona:

Gul'dan forced one of his orcish warriors to make a baby with a dreinei, so Garona is a half Orc and half Dreinei creature.

Gul'dan had her magically aged and tortured, also placing controls on her mind later to ensure obedience, she was basically one of his assassins.

Her mothers brother (= uncle) is Maraad, who was looking for her for a long time.

She assassinated Llane Wrynn, who was the father of Varian Wrynn. During the encounter with Yogg-Saron, in one of the realms that we go (Stormwind throne room) we "witness" that assassination.

Later she was sent to kill Varian Wrynn, Anduin Wrynn and Thrall but the attack failed and Jaina Proudmoore catured her. Later Jaina and Aegwynn discovered the spell placed on her mind. She made a deal with Valeera Sanguinar, agreeing to give them the information they required if Valeera used it to go save her son from the Twilight Hammer clan.

Thats abit of a bummer that this has epic mount. All my stamina recruits go to waste with this. Nevertheless its not like I need this ^&*!@ anyway, I got 100% in all foundry missions according to my MasterPlanner addon.

See how she has two buttons for displaying 3d model, labeled by item level? Not that it's huge difference, and as far as I can tell, no other follower has more than one model right now, but that might change. Maybe even my full epic 645+ warriors like 米阿尔 / 莫克斯·剑吼 will stop wearing only rags.

For anyone wondering why Garona Halforcen is a LEGENDARY follower:

Garona is the mother of the ~~current Guardian of Tirisfal~~, Med'an. Who even knows anymore.
The lover/daughter(movie) of arguably the most powerful wizard who has ever existed in the Warcraft Universe 麦迪文, the Guardian of Tirisfal before Med'an.
The niece of the highly respected Draenei Paladin, 守备官玛尔拉德.
Was once 古尔丹's personal assassin.
Was the one who assassinated 莱恩国王 Wrynn, the father of 瓦里安·乌瑞恩国王, and the former king of 暴风城.
She aided us in taking out the Twilight's Hammer Clan during the Cataclysm. Aiding Horde players as a quest giver in the 暮光高地 first at Bloodgulch, and continues this fight as a quest giver in the Twilight Citadel in the same zone.
She is one of the only 8 Half(or partial)-orcs named in Warcraft lore, and one of the only 3 Half(or partial)-draenei named in Warcraft lore. (as of patch 6.1)

No one can deny that Garona Halforcen is a follower of LEGENDARY proportions.

Blizzard HAVE TO increase follower cap. With 6.1, profession followers have to work in small buildings all time to increase the yield. So we have around 19-20 active followers. I'll headhunt treasure hunter followers, all we get Garona and cap is still 25 followers...

Since she is supposed to be half orc, half draenei (i always thought she was half human, read that in some book or so, but whatever), I half expect her to count as draenei for alliance despite being an orc model. It would be logical lore-wise and of course it would be the only balanced solution.

So even if you're an Alliance player, you have to get acquainted with the harlot who murdered King Llane Wrynn?

I try not to moan about "muh lore", "muh expanded universe", etc. but this is at least as offensive to the Allies as John J. Keeshan staying in the inn of the Horde garrisons and tossing back a few beers with his orc pals after blackrock orcs gutted his wife, captured him and used his mouth as a toilet for years.

You get Garona shortly after turning in your elemental tablets and getting your 710 ring. ~30 mins of questing between ring and garona.

I have decided to do inside test of all my Garrison Followers how much DPS they can pull against Training Dummies.

I did this to find out which Follower is the best to take on a patrol during Garrison Invasion content.
Each test took 1 minute.
I'm not testing bodyguards here.

After few hours of "training" it turnd out that the winner is… Leeroy!
He does some sick dps (also aoe) and even sicker healing. That makes him King of Garrison Invasion companion.
Tho Aeda Brightdawn does more dps, she doesnt heal and she tends to die during invasion.

Honorable mentions are:
1. Aeda Brightdawn - for best dps.
2. Harrison Jones - for most bizzare style.
3. Choluna - good single target dps.
4. Garona Halforcen - good single target dps.
5. Vivianne - good aoe.

Below You can see test results for all my active Followers.
As you can see Followers' iLvl scales with their DPS (Leeroy is an example here).
I will be adding new followers as soon, as I'll test them.

Garona's weapon and armor start at ilevel 630. At 645 and 660 they upgrade in appearance. Dunno about 675 yet, still working toward it.

You know Garona is pretty much the only famous rogue That is famous IN STORY.. Most rogues would prefer not being known by anyone, but Garona is such a badass, EVERYONE knows her name, and yet almost no one can stop her. If it wasn't for the heros of Azeroth being so insanely strong, she would've likely escaped and Khadgar would be dead.

If there was ever a rogue worthy of mention, it would be her.

Garona is able to obtain the Greasemonkey (increased oil) trait after the 6.2 patch. The trait generated randomly when Garona was obtained in 6.2. Useful!

Pretty upset I've had my 715 ring for months and completed Chapter 3 back in april and did this quest in northern Talador and just noticed in my command table that she's still grey'd out. Makes no sense, so I just put a ticket in. I'm almost half way through heroic hellfire citadel and I don't have her because of a bug I'm sure.
