For those who don't know about Heigan, he is a well known boss because he actually makes players dance, hence the name of this achievement.

Using dots on boss while running and getting aggro and dying after will not impress your raid group, if you are the only death.

I recommend everyone getting naked except the tank, someone that can do the dance, and a paladin healer. If the tank knows their stuff, just the two is fine.

Start fight, have everybody learn positioning. Get on the platform, look at how the tank and melee have to move to avoid the damage.

When phase two starts, everybody join in the dance, try to get the timing down and see how fast you have to move, etc...

Most likely everyone will die, if not, they get to play the game again. Practice it and have the dead people watch how it works.

When you have the hang of it, have the tank run to the wall along with the paladin and DI the tank.
No one loses any durability and you got to practice. It is a lot cheaper than having the entire raid wipe on their first attempt because videos and explanations don't beat actually trying it.

I'm an Engineer, so I simply made some Purple Smoke Flares and tossed them in safe spots during Phase 1. They last for five minutes, so unless your group is completely incompetent, they'll last for the rest of the fight. During Phase 2, your ranged meets up with your melee and you simply run from flare to flare. Be sure not to throw the end flares too far into the corners or you won't have time to run into the corner and back out again. My group one-shot this achievement after three weeks of people dying with this strategy.

The only snag is the schematic for Purple Smoke Flare is a rare old-world drop, so either scout the AH with 500g or so in your pocket or find an Engineer who can make this. Mats are very easy, Primal Earths and Fires primarily. Good luck!

You will not get the achievement if anyone dies at any point during the fight, may it be while dancing or if someone stand on Heigan's platform during phase 2.

For anyone wondering, you can leave the laggy/stupid people outside so they dont die and just let your best players do the fight. Everyone, including those outside will get the achievement.

This is to confirm that it is possible to killl the boss before the first dance. 1 tank, 1 healer, 8 dps doing average of 3.5k dps just to be sure it happens. Noone else should be taking damage if you also have 2 shamans to put down cleansing totems to cleanse the discease.

I think this achievement, and the fight that it corresponds to, is the reason they removed the movement slowing effect that druids had in BC while in Tree of Life form. It would be very difficult to avoid the eruptions, especially on heroic mode, if you could only move at 70% of your normal speed.

Probably also removed for PVP reasons.

At level 85 the group can all jump on his platform and nuke him down, without having to dance, very easy now.
