This achievement can be a little annoying. You need the boulder to make each of the pools with the eggs around the circle have a steam effect come off them. If you try to roll the boulder over the stairs, it gets stuck and blows up sometimes, or hits the corner of the pool, or rolls over it and doesn't steam the pool.

The boss will rotate doing a ritual of blazebind into 2 boulders, so let the boss summon an add further away from the pool and then drag the boss to the pool. The dps stay behind and kill the elemental add quickly and stay away from the boss. The tank and the healer can stand in the pool and let the boulder spawn directly in the pool. This worked on each pool without any issues and is much more reliable than trying to let the boulder roll into the pool. The tank and the healer can move away while the boulder cast is going off. Since the boss does two boulders, we took it easy and did a summon, let boss get close to pool and cast 1st boulder, then drag the rest of the way to pool, cast it inside the pool for boulder 2. Repeat for the second pool. The 3rd and fourth pool are further away so i recommend letting the boss cycle through twice if needed going from the 2nd to 3rd pool rather than rushing and missing the timer on the boulder and making the floor have fire on top of the pool platform.

Criteria:
Defeat Kokia Blazehoof after heating up 4 life pools with Molten Boulder in Ruby Life Pools on Mythic difficulty.

Strategy:
This one is a bit of a snooze fest. The idea is to line up the Molten boulder with the 4 life pools spread around the arena. The safest way to do this is to have everyone stand inside or behind the pool when the meteor is being cast. Voice is generally a good idea for this one, as there will be some boulders that you want to bait away from the pools so as to not clutter up the area. Ideally, you will have one shot caller letting the group know which boulder they want to hit the pool with.

Quick tip, it is recommended that you eliminate the adds first and then go for the pool. Rinse and repeat 4 times, then defeat the boss as normal, and you’re done!

This was extremely inconsistent to the point of seeming bugged when trying to do the obvious strategy of aiming boulders at the pools. After experimenting a bit we discovered a way to make it about 90% consistent to trigger them.

We would have the tank and healer drag Kokia to the first pool, but stopping a bit short to spawn the add out of the way, and then pulling her behind the pool and having the healer and DPS stand at the stairs leading to each one. The add would die very quick, but do make sure to interrupt its casts after the first one. You should have plenty of time to position, and DPS should never be in any danger of dying, since the general damage output is very low.

Kokia always sequences her abilities as: Add -> Boulder -> Boulder -> repeat. If you miss the first set of boulders at a pool it is possible to bait a second add and boulder set before you run out of room and are forced to reset if you fail. Having Kokia behind the pool--instead of the rest of the group--was infinitely more consistent for triggering the steam, and wasn't even harder to setup. It seems like the boulder needs to pass through the pool instead of stopping directly in it.

Having the boulder roll THROUGH the steam pool vs landing in it had a much more consistent steam application to the pools. This achievement is largely dependent on Tank positioning as even if the group is not in the perfect spot, if the tank is in the right spot you can make almost any boulder direction roll through it. We found it best for the tank to stand behind the pools and have the healer + dps stand at the top of the stairs a couple of feet away from the pool.
We tried grouping IN the pool but even when the boulder had a direct hit it did not apply steam.

Had a huge issue where the boulder would blow up on the rim of the pools instead of in the pool (which doesn't count)
so we just had the tank run the boss into the pool and facetank the boulder.

Soloed today as a 412 Prot Paladin. Couple clarifications I'd like to make not many comments address:

- The pools are not the water on the inner ring, there are 4 areas with stairs on the outer ring with eggs in them.
- Run the ball through the pool by standing in it first, you'll know if you get it if the eggs have a visual steam cloud around them.

The damage check was tight without Wings/DT but with Wings/DT the adds would get deleted and weren't a problem.

Instructions for Does Steam Do Fire Damage?: You have to defeat Blazehoof after heating up 4 life pools with the molten boulder. You have to drag the boss around the platform to each of the pools. Players should stack up at the pool to trigger the molten bolder to roll in that direction and steam up the pool. Kill the adds far away from the pool to avoid making everywhere too messy. Also, at times the bolder seemed to get stuck on the stairs, so make sure you see the boulder go over the pool and you see steam coming up from the pool to be sure that it counted. Do this for all 4 pools on the platform, then nuke the boss.
