Oddly enough, the Schooner Wreckage can be found in Stonetalon Mountains. I stumbled across it in the Venture Co. area along the western part of the valley.

Don't ask me how they got a Schooner in there... I don't want to know. Goblins have very strange priorities.

All comments below are correct, however I will tell you one thing:

FIsh in every school / pool you find. The amount of schools spawned is fixed. If you fish from a school of fish, another one will spawn somewhere in the area. Don't just run around hoping you'll find the one you're after!

The ones that spawn along the barrens are Floating Debris, not Floating Wreckage. They don't count for this achievement.

Cords where I found the 5 wreckages/flotsams:

* Steam Pump Flotsam: 57.56 or so in Zangarmarsh. There all over the place. Very easy to find
* Bloodsail Wreckage: 27.43 close to STV arena. Can be very hard to find
* Schooner Wreckage: 55.64. You can actually often see wreckages, (only seen Schonner kind ever) when you fly along the coast, on your way to SS if you flew from IF :)
* Waterlogged Wreckage: 30.6 close to Nessings hunter camp in STV. Hard to find
* Floating Wreckage: 44.45 by the docks in Ferelas very easy to find.

I suggest you pair your traveling whit the diplomat fisher wich involves Fishing 1 singel time (dosent matter if school) in Stormwind and Ogrimmar. I did that

I have found that the odd 1 or 2 Floating Wreakage does appear around the Venture Co Operations Center at Lake Nazferiti in STV (43,18) but although I have fished them they have not given me credit for the achievement.

All of the wreckages and flotsam can be found and easily spotted by using Find Fish -ability, which can be learned by finding A Weather-Beaten Journal (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34109). Makes the job a bit easier.

Probably from the days when players who took the boats cross-continent during laggy world events - and found themselves on a boat glitched into the stonetalon mountainside.

I find this kinda funny since I remember other people getting glitched out there, and apparently there is water of some sort still there.

Completed this achievement is just under 2 hours total. The hardest one was the bloodsail, but it's along the southern east coast with their ships there was actually 2 of them during peak server time next to each other.

The ones that gave me trouble were the Schooner and Floating Wreckages, since you can get two wreckages in STV and can almost trip off the ones in Zangarmarsh. These were the fastest ways I've found as Horde.

Floating Wreckage: Take the Caverns of Time portal to Tanaris and hug the beach to the east, fishing all the way. I found mine just south of Steamwheedle Port.
Schooner Wreckage: I didn't even find schools in Hinterlands off the Revantusk Village coast, so... that's too far to ride inland (and fly outland) for a bum like me. Port to UC, fly to Hillsbrad Foothills. Don't bother fishing up and down the river east of Tarren Mill: just go straight to the beach off Southshore. I got this right off the dock there.

I had the most problems finding the Bloodsail Wreckage. I ended up finding one at 28,39 NW of Gurubashi Arena. I did however fish a bunch of schools up around the surrounding area before it popped.

After 1/2 hour fishing all nodes near Nessingwary's camp to generate the Waterlogged Wreakage without any luck, decided to run south for Bloodsail Wreakage. Ran into two Waterlogged Wreakage on the western shore just outside of Bal'lal Ruins at 27,21. I'd say try here first.

Today I found my first Schooner Wreckage. I fished the node until it was empty. However, my catch was not registered with the achievement and it did not progress. I don't know if this is a bug in the latest patch, but it certainly is strange.

Floating Wreckage - Azshara, Tanaris, Feralas
Bloodsail Wreckage - STV south of Grom'Grol
Waterlogged Wreckage - Alterac Mountain, Arathi Highlands, Desolace, Dustwallow Marsh, and STV north of Grom'Grol

Remember that the pools will respawn when other pools are fished up.. if you can't find the wreckage, fish other schools until the wreckage spawns.

Waterlogged Wreckage can also be found on the "inland river" of Stranglethorn Valley, where Greater Sagefish Schools may usually be found, i.e. from Nesingwary's camp via Lake Nezferiti all the way down to the outlet near Grom'Gol. Mine was at 32,22 (right behind the bridge, where the river opens out into Lake Nezferiti).

Edit: a few minutes later. I got called away from my PC, so my character was still standing where he had been fishing when another Waterlogged Wreckage node spawned nearby (40,22, just the other side of the bridge).

The various types of floating wreckage in the old world can be classified by the type of trunks they drop.

Floating Wreckage: Mithril Bound Trunk
Waterlogged Wreckage: Iron Bound Trunk
Schooner Wreckage: Watertight Trunk
Floating Debris (not part of the achievement): Tightly Sealed Trunk.

Click on any of the above links to see where people have fished the corresponding trunks. Happy hunting.

However, all the floating wreckage locations in southern Stranglethorn are replaced by Bloodsail wreckage instead.

If you fish into the node, and you fail, any further attempts to fish into the node, even if successful, will not count towards this achievement. You must be successful the first time you fish into it.

Bloodsail Wreckage: 24.59 on STV, Bloodsail Compound
Schooner Wreckage: 56.66, on Hillsbrad Foothills, Eastern Strand
Waterlogged Wreckage: 42.16 on STV, Venture Co. Base Camp. It can be hard to find.
Floating Wreckage: 44.41 on Feralas, pretty easy to find.

I had no problem finishing this achievement, thanks to all of your great notes.
I did find that it was much harder to fish all the schools, and much more time consuming. I found plenty of schools just running along the coasts.
If you had not finished your 1k fish or have not gotten your fish finder book I would advise trying that, but if not just run along til you find a school.

I found my Bloodsail Wreckage right inside Booty Bay, as far in as possible. I scoured the two coasts and sadly had no luck but Booty Bay gave me the achievement I needed.

All the crate that can contain the fish book. Via the location these crates could be fished, you can more or less find out where to find all the wreckages.

Annoyingly, I went from Grom'Gol all the way south and around to the Crystal Shore, but I never spotted a single bit of Bloodsail Wreckage. If I do try and fishout the various schools (mostly Oily Blackmouth of the abundant kind), then a Wreckage should spawn?

These things aren't static spawns. They can appear anywhere along the coast. Both of you are correct.

According to this fishing site I found, the names of the wreckage were changed in 3.0. That is why a lot of this information is outdated. I spent many hours looking for floating wreckage in the places given here.

Here are the only known updated locations:
Floating Wreckage: can only be found in Ashara, Feralas, and Tanaris.
Steam Pump Flotsam: Zangarmarsh.
Bloodsail Wreckage: found in coastal waters around Grom'Gol Base Camp.
Waterlogged Wreckage: Stranglethorn Vale, Alterac Mountains, Arathi Highlands, Desolace, Dustwallow Marsh
Schooner Wreckage: Ashenvale, Hillsbrad Foothills, Stonetalon Mountains, Wetlands

the BEST place to find the Bloodsail Wreckage is at the Ruins of Aboraz in STV.

Easiest way to get there is to follow the eastern coast from the Entrance to Booty Bay north.
I found 2 wreckages there.

If you can't find the pool you're looking for, fish up the other pools in hope that the one you need will spawn. I had to spend about 20 minutes or so fishing up every pool between Grom'Gol Base Camp & Booty Bay for the Bloodsail Wreckage to spawn. When it finally did, it was at the inlet North of Gurubashi Arena.

My strat is to always keep my fishing pole on me and not think about the achievement. Then when I spot a node it's more like "oh looky there, some wreckage. Guess I'll stop and fish something out of it for that chieve I tell myself I am casually pursuing..."

Found waterlogged wreckage in STV in the river northwest of Nesingwary's Expedition.

You have to fish the existing holes out so the other types of fishing holes come up. It doesn't matter what type of fish is in the hole, fish it out so the next type of fishing spot will come up. I fished out 4 spots of oily blackmouth and then backtracked where I just fished and in between the spots a waterlogged wreckage hole showed up. I continued to do this and found 3 waterlogged wreckages and 4 bloodsail all in about 45 minutes off the coast of STV around Grom'gol base camp. As long as you remove the sites that are in the area, no matter where or what it is, the ones you want will eventually come up. Plus I didn't have to run up and down the coast looking for spots. The same strategy worked for all the types of wreckages I needed for the achievement. If you don't need that kind of fish you can always sell it on the AH. So I recommend following this strategy for a quick success. This applies to the entire world of warcraft. Also in finding these wreckages I got 11 iron bound chests and a lot of stuff in them. I hope this helps.

I found lots of Bloodsail Wreckage on the East coast of Stranglethorn Vale, North of Booty Bay. But be sure to fish the regular schools too. In my experience, the wreckage shows up a lot after depleting the regular schools.

I had a lot of trouble finding the Bloodsail Wreckage. I looked over by Grom'gol and the Arena, but it wasn't there for me. Another website mentioned that the Bloodsail Wreckage also sometimes spawns at the 2 Bloodsail camps (NW of BB, and E of BB), but I didn't find it there either. Finally, I checked on the east coast and found the Bloodsail Wreckage over by the Ruins of Aboraz. Elixirs of Water Walking helped a lot - I just mounted up and rode on the water. Don't give up!

Found two Steam Pump Flotsam nodes in Marshlight Lake. One was at (21.47,40,16), off the coast of the center island. The other was at (19.98,35.94), on the northwest coast. The second node, however, was in shallow water and I was unable to fish from it!

With the Shattering, the fish have been moved around by the tsunamis. The previously reported locations need to be re-checked.

Changes:
- Waterlogged Wreckage (Western Plaguelands in Darrowmere Lake, co-spawned with Greater Sagefish, and possibly other places where you have level 35-39 mobs)
- Schooner Wreckage (Wetlands, northern STV, Hillsbrad, Alterac Valley, and many other places where Waterlogged Wreckages used to be, possibly because the mobs were also downgraded in those areas)
- Floating Wreckage (I saw one in Eastern Plaguelands west of Light's Hope; I'm not sure if they are still in Tanaris)

Unchanged:
- Bloodsail Wreckage (still on the southern STV coast, where you would expect them)
- Steam Pump Flotsam (Zangarmarsh, Outland not much affected)

Bloodsail Wreckage found in Stranglethorn Vale, just southeast of Booty Bay. I ran up and down the coast between Wildshore and the Ruins of Aboraz fishing out the Blackmouth and Firefin nodes. After 15 minutes I had a Bloodsail Wreckage spawn for me. I fished up 4 chests that contained some decent loot for that level zone.

I had so much trouble trying to find the waterlogged wreckage. I went to all the places everyone had said to go and I even tried fishing out of the schools to make it spawn. I had actually decided to google it and it told me to go to Desolace. I went there and found 3 right by eachother at Shok'Thokar.

I just finished this achievement today. It took me many hours to find them all. This is where I found them.

Cataclysm - patch 4.0.3

Steam Pump Flotsam: Umbrafen Lake, Zangarmarsh - I looked for a steam pump in the water and fished the mixed brackish schools in the area. It spawned within a couple of minutes.

Schooner Wreckage: Menethil Harbor, Wetlands - Right by the flight master. It was spawned when I walked up.

Waterlogged Wreckage: Darrowmere Lake, Western Plaguelands - By the bridge between Andorhal and Uther's Tomb. It was spawned when I walked up.

Floating Wreckage: Wavestrider Beach, Tanaris - North of Caverns of Time. I had to fish some oily blackmouth and firefin snapper but it spawned within a couple of minutes.

Bloodsail Wreckage: The Cape of Stranglethorn - South of Hardwrench Hideaway and north of Booty Bay along the coast. This one took the longest to spawn by far. I kept in the area where the bloodsail mobs are and fished the oily blackmouth and firefin snapper and finally it spawned.

There is not a complete up to date list for patch 4.0.3. This is my attempt at one. Please let me know what you think.

Confirmed, with Cata installed, Schooner wreckage can still be found along the coast in STV as well as Bloodsail wreckage. Once Bloodsail wreckage found near the sundering in upper STV and one found near the pirate zone near the bottom of lower STV.

Cataclysm/Shattering Update:
No one has commented on where to find these "wreckages/pools" since 4.0.1 hit - at least not as a whole.
So here is what I have gathered:

Steam Pump Flotsam - Zangarmarsh (as always)
Bloodsail Wrechage - Stranglethorn Vale

Floating Wreckage - East Coast of Tanaris
Waterlogged Wreckage - Feralas at the Forgotten Coast (was lost at first looking for this in Alterac, STV - but didnt even spend a minute in Ferals until I found myself with the Achievement!)

A part from the two Wreckages in STV it does not take long time to find them.

Today i found Schooner wreckage twice in the wetlands near slabchisels surevey, and if u go north near mosshide fen the wreckage is also there. Good if ur traveling with a buddy. both will be able to fish without waiting for respawn :)

Just completed this in 4.0.3. Here's a list that I can confirm is true in 4.0.3.

Steam Pump Floatsam - Still found in Zangarmarsh, search around the oil pumps marked on the map at the edges of the lakes.
Schooner Wreckage - Found a node at 16,49 in Wetlands, close to land north east of Menethil Harbor. I spent a lot of time searching and clearing nodes in Ashenvale and Stonetalon, with no luck at all. Just go to Wetlands.
Floating Wreckage - Tanaris, along the beach on the northern side of Caverns of Time. Found mine far to the east.
Bloodsail Wreckage - South of Booty Bay, Wild Shore, they can be found elsewhere but I saw at least 3 nodes close to each other there.
Waterlogged Wreckage - Search around New Thalanaar in eastern Feralas.

i just spent about 3 hours fishing the entire coast of dustwallow marsh to get the waterlogged wreckage with no luck. i then decided to try another area which was close so i went to desolace and on my way to the coast crossing Shok'Thorar i found one there in an inlant water area. just wanted to let people know it may not always spawn in the coastal waters

I've been looking everywhere posted above for Schooner Wreckage and I haven't seen any. I know that sometimes you have fish the other pools for them to spawn, and I have been doing that. Anyone else have any better, more recent ideas?

Ok here we go some have multiple locations:

Floating Wreckage: Tanaris - Open map find Lost Rigger Cove at 69.8, 56.5. Open map again find Wavestrider Beach has 2 at 67.5,40.8 - 65.6,40.3

Waterlogged Wreckage: Feralas - Open map find Feathermoon Stronghold north of the shoreline at 39.6, 37.0 - 38.8, 36.1

Steam Pump Flotsam : Zangarmarsh - Open map find Twinspire Graveyard at 47.4, 47.9. Open map again find East Beacon by the graveyard to the left of the beacon at 50.8, 47.2

Bloodsail Wreckage: Stranglethorn Vale - Open map find The Cape of Stranglethorn at the Ruins of Aboraz at 61.9, 46.4. Open map again find Mistvale Valley (just south of ruins) at 56.5, 61.6

Schooner Wreckage: Wetlands - Open map find Menethil Harbor Entrance by the Engineering Supplies & General Goods (Neal Allen) off bridge at 12.0, 53.7.

I did this achievement after cata. this is where i found some of the harder ones at.
Floating Wreckage- Tanaris coast east of Caverns of Time.
Schooner Wreckage- STV coast,random.
Steam Pump Flotsam-Zangarmarsh they are everywhere.
The hardest one was Bloodsail Wreckage. I fished out about 5 nods of Oily Blackmouth,and then found the Wreckage about 1 yard south of the dock at Hardwrench Hideaway. Hope this helped.
And for any horde who need to catch a fish in SW,the easiest way is to come from the ocean,fly up the big destroyed hill and the one canal empties right there,no guards.

I found Floating Wreckage near the Light's hope chapel in Eastern Plaguelands and also some greater sagefish school there, I tried looking for one near the caverns of time and azshara like what the others have said in the comments but I didnt see any there. I just accidentaly found the Floating Wreckage when I was doing the Lunar Festival achievement at the date I wrote this comment.

Found all of them fairly easily EXCEPT Schooner Wreckage. I have been to the wetlands like stated, STV like stated and couldn't find one to save my life. I fished in every pool in Menethil and all the ones in the near area also... sat there idle for about an hour or so and none ever respawned.

Does anyone else have any type of information on this pool? I'm going to go back to Wetlands tomorrow and try again, but this one is definitely the more annoying one. The Bloodsail Wreckage can be found near the Hardwrench Hideaway and north of that (confirming, they're everywhere).

I found an unbelievable amount of water logged wreckage of the coast in feralas.... at least 5 pools.

The 2 hardest for me post Cataclysm were waterlogged and schooner wreckage.
After looking a long time I finally found Schooner wreckage in Wetlands
pretty close to Menethil Harbor in the swamp near the shore, and waterlogged
wreckage in Alterac mountains on the small bit of shore there! Hope that helps.

CORRECT AS OF 5/2/2011

I thought I'll just post where I found my wreckage, just so it can help fellow fishers complete this achieve post cata:

Steam Pump Flotsam: Serpent Lake, east side. Though I'm pretty sure you'll see one or two if you circle the lake.

Bloodsail Wreckage: Right outside Grom Gol.

Schooner Wreckage: Inland just left of Whelgar's Retreat (see those two peanut-like pond things?).

Waterlogged Wreckage: Right outside Feathermoon Stronghold (coast-side).
If you decide to run along the coast, south-wards >> don't go beyond past where the coastal pathway ends, there are no pools.

Floating Wreckage: Land's End Beach, south-east of Tanaris.

If you can't find a wreckage pool at those spots, do fish out the pools to make them respawn. Good things come with patience!

For the waterlogged I did folow what everyone said t do and that was the coast in feralas. I saw a lot of pools so i fished them for 3 hours and no wreckage. So i decided to go to New Thalanar as the last post said and fished one pool and wreckage came up. I also told a friend to find the waterlogged wreckage there and she did within 5 mintes as well. so i would say New Thalannar is a great place to try for this wreckage. Wetlands was the best place for me to get the schooner as well. Found 2 there jsut flying up to wetlands one by the boat dock and the other out in the middle of the marsh. hope this helps someone out.

after cataclysm hit is when i started looking for the schooner wreckage and I had a lot of trouble finding it, I had looked along the south shore beach several times and in wetlands and couldn't find it and i even had the fish finder tracker each time I looked. finally I found it along the inside wall in menethil harbor in the wetlands. If I didn't have fish finder i would never had found it but i did and if u are also looking too i suggest taking a look there. and if your looking for the book for the fish finder i found several of them in the chests fishing the pools along the coast just west of the Ruins of Alterac. Post Shattering: Do not bother fishing for the Floating Wreckage in Feralas. If you go to Tanaris to the southern most tip called Lands End Beach, new i believe with the shattering patch because of the goblins that are shipwrecked there, there are sunken ships in the shallow water where there is a TUN of floating wreckage. I wasted a lot of time in Feralas, and believe me Tanaris is a much better choice landed at the flight point in the south and right away when i got there plenty of nodes to fish from, ALL WRECKAGE. Hope this helps u salty people.

These are the locations for Cata:
Steampump Flotsam: Zangermarsh, Darkcrest Shore: I fished three pools and it spawned just below the U on Umbrefen Lake.
Schooner Wreckage: Menethil Harbor: fish all pools off of docks and it will spawn off the docks.
Bloodsail Wreckage: Wild Shore on the Coast of Strangelthorn just below Booty Bay near the Bloodsail camp. I fished 3 pools and it spawned.
Waterlogged Wreckage: Dreadmurk Shore, Theramore. Fish the pools along the shore heading towards the hill where the Mirefin Murlocs are. I fished 3 pools and it spawned near the Mirefin.
Floating Wreckage: Gadgetzan, Tanaris: from fp head toward Caverns of Time. It should be in the waters in Waterspring Field. I did not have to fish any pools. It was the only thing there.

To confirm I got the Schooner Wreckage on the North Coast of the Wetlands. This seems like a high percentage of catch rate, as I have seen Schooner Wreckage's all along there. This is very easy on Horde if you have a flying mount, I strongly recommend it.

If you're having trouble with Schooner Wreckage, I would recommend waiting until two hours after the time the STV fishing contest begins. This is when the pools reset to normal, and, at least in my experience, they appear to respawn with a new assortment of pools.

Didn't find any schooner wreckage in Stone Talon Mtns as Discrete suggested...even with fishing pools of fish & flying around. Did find it in Wetlands Menethil Bay, not off docks as starrb2000 suggests but roughly 18, 50; north side of the bay off the shoreline. Only thing that spawn off the docks there for me was Firefin Snapper & Oily Blackmouth schools.

Just to let u know that i found SCHOONER and BLOODSAIL wreckages right next to each other....as in i fished from the same rock that i was stood on!

This was at the most south-easterly section of THE VILE REEF in NORTHERN STRANGLETHORN. Just below the horde GROM'GOL BASE CAMP where the mouth of the river starts.

Hope this helps. Might as well fish for Rainbow Fin Albacore while you are there too

Pre-quests for ZA/ZG 'Bwemba's Spirit' 布温巴之魂

which involves having a dead troll follow you around when in STV, stop Bloodsail Wreckage and other pools from appearing on your mini-map and indeed in the water.

Abandoning this quest and relogging fixes this bug.

I could be wrong about this, though I do not think so.

I had completed all the wreckages prior to the sundering with the exception of the schooner and the bloodsail wreckage. The two which reside off the coast of STV area.

I would be flying around tracking fish, and I would see the pool, but when I went in the pool would phase out (much like minerals in Cata zones were doing). I had yet to do the ZA/ZG questline, so I am hoping that will phase me in with the pools.I am checking after each quest so I will be able to update this with whether or not it worked. Just wanted to let you guys know.

Update. Turning in Bwemba's Spirit/Alliance (which is the last quest in the chain, even though the first one you pick up) , then logging out and logging back in unphases all STV/BB area, to include fish pools.

Waterlogged Wreckage: River between Andorhal and Chillwind Camp - Western Plaugelands

I found all these without having to fish schools of fish first, these were all first try founds.
I'm sure it varies from player to player where, but this should give some directions.
I'd use them as directions but broaden the search to the whole zone.

After 45 minutes of searching (and yes, fishing the other schools), Azshara failed to give me Floating Wreckage. I went to Tanaris, flew down the coast for less than ONE minute, and found a Floating Wreckage at 65,40. First cast, I got the credit for this achievement as well as the Weather-Beaten Journal that teaches Find Fish. Awesome!

The scavenger achievement for fishing: Fished pools for two days in Menethial Harbor and the coast. About gave up. Was flying back. Spotted the Schooner Wreckage under a tree next to the last building before the gates. If the gates are 10 o'clock, the wreckage was about 1130. Hope it helps.

As of 4.2, I just wanted to say this:

Waterlogged wreckage was my last one to find. I had minimal issues finding the others, and I thought this one would be the same. Turns out I was wrong. I spent all day searching for it. I searched STV, coastal and rivers, fishing up other schools to see if it would turn up. Nothing. I went to hillsbrad, searching all of Lordamere lake, close to where the Dalaran crater is, also fishing up schools to see if it would turn up. No luck. I tried Theramore in Dustwallow marsh, also tried "dreadmurk shore", same thing. Nothing. I then flew to Feralas and tried out New Thalanaar. Still no luck (again still fishing out the other schools). I then saw the post from Vanth and flew to the shore of Feralas. I saw 2 schools, one of them firefin snapper and the other Waterlogged wreckage, just like that. No fishing out other schools. It was right there next to those giants called shore striders. Maybe I just had bad luck and an off day, but my advice to you is this: If you're still looking for waterlogged wreckage, save yourself the time and frustration, pain and headaches of searching in other spots and just go to the coast of feralas. This is Cataclysm 4.2 updated info. All the other spots are garbage. Go to the coast of Feralas so you don't spend hours searching in garbage spots from outdated info and then as a result have the urge to kill a man, in real life. Hope this is useful to everyone and thanks to Vanth. I should've listened to you from the start =P

KK, here's my 2 cents:
Steam pump flotsam- found in Zangarmarsh, Serpent Lake
Schooner wreckage- found in Arthi Highlands, around Faldir's Cove, near sunken schooner
Floating wreackage- found in Tanaris, in 'bay' going towards CoT from Gadgetzan
Waterlogged wreckage- found in Desloace, in pools near Shok'thokar, not in actual body of water surrounding it
Bloodsail wreckage- found right outside of Grom'gol, going south towards Gurubashi

I can confirm that it's really difficult to find Waterlogged Wreckage near Nesingwary's Camp. I fished for ages in STV River and found nothing. The Dreadmurk Shore is where to look. A quick fly up the coast and I found one straight away.

For Bloodsail Wreckage, a similar flight around the coast of Stranglethorn soon netted me 4 different spots, so not hard to find

Took me a while to find a Floating Wreckage in Tanaris just now, but I finally found one on the east side of the Land's End Beach.

Tried looking around Gadgetzan docks, no luck. I suggest you fly over the whole coast line, though they are quite rare, you'll probably find at least one.

Most of them were pretty easy except bloodsail wreckage. After spending hours looking for one around booty bay, I went up the east coast and found one at 64.2, 42.3.

Feralas is not the best area to find Waterlogged Wreckage, I, like many others found it very easily in Desolace, as soon as i zoned into first body of water.

Question: Is it Pre or Post Phase that these Waterlogged Wreckage nodes appear?

I've completed the quest chain in Shok'Thokar and the Centaur Guardians are now friendly to me. After finding this post on this particular node, I've sat around this area for hours and have not yet seen any kind of fishing nodes.

Schooner Wreckage found off of Northern STV Jan 2012. This was the final wreckage I needed for this achievement and it took forever to find, finally stumbled across it while working on another achievement. Just keep your fish tracker on if you can and your eyes peeled when you're running around doing other things.

Schooner Wreckage can be found at location (14.5, 27.9) in Wetlands, close to shore, at The Lost Fleet. At the bow and stern of north / west wrecked Schooner. (for the people with no sense of direction the ship closest to the city, Menethil Harbor).

Got a surprise Schooner Wreckage right off the big island in the middle of The Vile Reef in The Savage Coast. I was actually looking for the Waterlogged Wreckage because I couldn't find it in the rivers near Nesingwary's Camp. Took a screenshot too. Hope this helps.

A little update. I found the Waterlogged Wreckage in Darrowmere Lake, in Western Plaguelands (79.33, 80.41). Had a hard time finding this one, and some of the info given here was Pre-cata, so I thought I confirm you can find it in Western Plaguelands. Also today I found a bunch of Bloodsail Wreckage all along the shore near the arena in The Cape of Stranglethorn. I also found Schooner Wreckage in the lake near Slabchisel's Survey in south part of The Wetlands.

Seems recently, one of the "best" areas to find the schooner wreckage(s) is in Wetlands...
I'll add in an image to show at least 3 locations of where they are...

but other wise:

1. 13, 29 (The Lost Fleet area)

2. 15, 42 (Bluegill Marsh "Around the rocks/waterfall")

3. (around) 7, 60 (Menethil Harbor around the docks) (If you are looking at your Map: around the M in Menethil)

Hope that helps out some of you looking for the Schooner Wreckage

Just to add: I did not have to fish in any pools for these nodes to show up... They was already there waiting for me :D

Schooner Wreckage - Patch 4.3.2
Fished this today inside Menethil Harbor (Wetlands) on my Horde.
It was actually inside the walls of the city.

Previously looked in Stranglethornvale, Arathi Highlands, Hillsbrad Foothills, Stonetalon Mountains and the Hinterlands. Did not find a single Schooner Wreckage.

Floating Wreckage = Tanaris. Start from backside of Caverns of time and go south. I took mine at 71,78-42,90

This is the fast way to go about this with no hustle and searching around.

Spent two days looking for the floating wreckage only to find that I was following pre cata advice. I found it right away in the Pestillent Scar right out of Light\s Hope Chapel! It was in an inland lake. Two days of fishing.... and a huge migraine later, I am a Scavenger!

My last node to find was the bloodsail wreckage. I went up and down the coast in both N. STV and the cape, and could not find any. Multiple times. If this happens to you, fish some of the nodes till they disappear and more nodes will appear with a chance that one of them will be what you need. Good luck.

Only needed waterlogged wreckage for this achieve (looks like most people have difficulty with this). Didn't find the '100% guaranteed' wreckage at Shok'Thokar that people seem to mention, even after digging up two achaeology sites in desolace while i waited for them to hopefully respawn, but i DID find one at 61.10 , 71.44. For those without co-ords it is the small pool sort of between Shok'Thokar and Cenarion Wildlands. Hope this saves others the half hour I spent flying round Shok'Thokar looking for the 100% guaranteed pool :-P

If you're having problems finding the Floating Wreckage in the places that have been listed (like me), try fishing in the nodes that are currently there to try and get the desired node to spawn. I was looking for the Floating Wreckage in the Eastern Plaguelands since people were reporting how they've found them in the lake near Light's Hope Chapel. I only saw Greater Sagefish nodes when I flew over the lake to check the nodes. After reading a bit further to some comments, I decided maybe I can get lucky by 'forcing' the nodes to spawn. So after I fished 6 of the Grater Sagefish nodes, 2 nodes of Floating Wreckage spawned on both sides of the bridge (66, 56).

Cheers to the person who suggested to fish out of the existing nodes in order to get your desired node to spawn!

I was having a hard time chasing down the Steam Pump Flotsam. Found it where someone else posted about a year ago. Over in Zangarmarsh - Serpent Lake, coords are 40.8, 41.8. I just happen to see it while flying over. Hope this helps other folks!

I was looking for Bloodsail Wreckage at Cape of Stanglethorn and couldn't find any pool. Came here to wowhead and after 5 minutes of reading i went back to the game and the fishing pools returned and then 30 sec later i found the wreckage at 35, 45.

Don't know what happened, i just could not see any pools and then i could. Maybe phased, but i did not abandon any quest or anything like that.

Spent half an hour flying up and down and around the Cape of Stranglethorn but found nothing. Then on one of my trips back, found two Bloodsail Wreckages next to each other along the Wild Shore, just north of the Bloodsail Camp (where the tailoring vendor who spawns the Admiral's Hat pattern is - Cowardly Crosby).

The one I had a mother of a time looking for was the Waterlogged Wreckage! After trying all the places, and things that people suggested for this one I gave up, that was until I was working on lore Master in Desolace. There is a tiny circle-ish lake just a little north-west of Trunk's Abode that has one. I believe its the only pool spawn in that lake and ever since I found it and got the achievement I see it everytime I fly over it. Also there is a couple of small lakes just north East of Thunder Axe Fortress that I have since seen a couple in. Good luck I hope you don't have the hard time I did finding this one.

As far as I've seen noone mentioned about the wreckage spots after shattering (since the release of Cataclysm).

Just found Schooner Wreckage on the Savage Coast at 21.4,31.8. For those without coordinates, it is North of Grom'Gol in the Vile Reef, just south of the troll camp "Ruins of Zul'Kunda".

Since there still seems to be some confusion about the location of the Schooner Wreckage, I just got mine after looking in Stonetalon Mountains, and STV I went to Wetlands and on my first pass around Menethil Harbor I found the Schooner Wreckage at around 16, 50. Hope this helps

Would just like to add a particular order to this for people.

Start by heading to Dalaran (Mages can port you there); once there, head to the tallest tower. Inside on the second floor to the left is a portal to the Caverns of Time -- Take it!

Once in Tanaris, head behind the Caverns of Time and scan the shoreline for debris (found mine near pirate ships). Now head over to Gadgetzan and off to Desolace!

Alliance side, I landed in Thargad's Camp. And headed east to Shok'Thokar where I found the waterlogged wreckage everywhere. Now to Thunk's Wyvern (A) for a flight to Ratchet!

Once in Ratchet, take the boat to Stranglethorn Vale. Now that you're in STV, travel along the coast NW of Booty Bay. Found mine right beside Booty Bay.

(A) Now head back to Booty Bay and take the boat back to Ratchet. Once there, fly to Theramore. Once in Theramore, take the boat to Wetlands.

(H) Now head back to Booty Bay and fly off to Grom'Gol Base Camp. Once there, take the zeppelin to Undercity. Travel to the inner city and fly to Wetlands.

As Alliance, I landed in Menethil Harbor where as soon as I got off the boat, a Schooner Wreckage node popped up on my map. So Hordies; just fly to Swiftgear Station and head down the coast towards Menethil Harbor from there.

Last but not least, hearthstone to a major city and take the portal to Blasted Lands (level 58+) and enter the Dark Portal. Once inside Outlands, fly to Zangarmarsh and head to the Coilfang Resevoir, there will be floatsam wreckage everywhere!

I found a Schooner Wreckage in STV, 16,24.

The spawns of this pools works thanks to an algorithm, that is like this: in the place "X" there must be number "Y" pools everytime. In the place "X" there are "Z" spawn point for pools (but maybe only few of these in a certain moment). So, when you fish at a pool, and it disappear, the system rolls a probability for:
- Which of the "Z" spawn points is to be filled with a new pool
- Which type of pool will it be (and here maybe "The Scavenger" pools have a lower probability to spawn)

In order to find them, you have to check out which pools are up, if anyone is that one you need, fish up from pools until a wreckage pools spawns

I found all these by just flying around the coast and without fishing for any school of fish. It just floats there. Hope these helps.

I have completed pretty much every quest possible (Loremaster+ because I'm a glutton for punishment and couldn't leave a zone without finishing EVERYTHING)...

I can see the Waterlogged Wreckage that is "guaranteed" in Shok'Thokar - until I get close to it. Apparently, there is some lingering phasing even when I'm done with all the quests.

So for those of us that are annoyed with not finding the "guaranteed" one - I'm going with a phasing issue...

It appears that Bloodsail Wreckage has been removed from the game with 5.0.5. I haven't seen any since the release. With one exception the most popular reference sites didn't reveal this. From El's Extreme Angling:

Warning: The Scavenger also requires a catch from a Bloodsail Wreckage Pool, but since patch 5.1 there are no known locations where these Bloodsail Wreckage Pools spawn. This means The Scavenger achievement cannot currently be completed.

It appears as if the Waterlogged pools in STV are not giving credit towards 'The Scavenger', probably due to the change from Bloodsail pools in 5.1, I got credit for the Waterlogged Pool requirement by fishing from one in Shok'thokar, In Desolace. Still can't find any Bloodsail pools though.

Just spoke with a GM about not being able to complete this achievement in 5.1 due to the Bloodsail Wreckages -- they confirmed that it is a known bug in their database and will be amended in a hotfix or patch soon.

During the you can find Waterlogged Wreckage, but if you fish up a 斑点可口鱼 it will not count toward the achievement. Not sure why but I have fished it about 5 times now and it has not counted.

I would like to confirm that as of Patch 5.2 this is now obtainable. You may have to fish a few of the Mixed Ocean schools on the cape of Stranglethorn but they are available. So happy to finally obtain "Salty" I only started playing in December and had everything required by the beginning of January except for the Bloodsail Wreckage. Happy Fishing!

As of 4/4/2013, this achievement is once again attainable for Alliance players.

I just found a bouncing baby Bloodsail Wreckage floating just off the dock at the Bloodsail base in Stranglethorn.

This means that the "Salty" title is now attainable once again as well :D

After seeing the post that Waterlogged Wreckage and Bloodsail Wreckage had been fixed in the 5.2 patch, I resumed my search for this achievement. Taking the advice from the previous posts, I fished Feralas and every pool of fish along the coast waiting for it (Waterlogged) to spawn....no luck. Flying away with despair through Desolace, guess what I found? That's right...the Waterlogged Wreckage. Location? 60.26, 69.92. Now on to find Bloodsail Wreckage. Good luck all you Salty seekers!

The Waterlogged Wreckage (happily) still exists in Feralas. Found one just along the water at Feathermoon Stronghold. Coords 44, 51 is where I found mine. This counts toward Scavenger Achievement.

Found Waterlogged Wreckage at 33.8 32.74 on Feralas coast tonight. (6/16/13 Patch 5.3) at 9:41p server time.

With fishing skill of 600, plus 30 for fishing pole, plus 100 for sharpened fish hook, I got 3 Iron Bound Trunks and a Rumsey Rum Black Label out of it, and the Scavenger achievement to boot! :)

I had been waiting for the waterlogged wreckage for what seemed like an eternity. I wasn't camping it, but I would make a trip to Feralas about 2-4 times a month (because that was where it was supposed to be a year ago, and I never checked back here). I can confirm that on 10/1/2013 the waterlogged wreckage was in Feralas near the Feathermoon Stronghold.

Got the last three I needed for this achieve last night at the following coords. Fished two of the common pool spawns at each location (Sagefish, Greater Sagefish, Mixed Ocean) before the junk pools appeared.

Schooner Wreckage: Wetlands 27.09, 36.39

I spent hours searching for this in Theramore, Eastern Plaguelands, Blasted Lands, Stranglethorn, everywhere I had seen people recommending, flying up and down the coast and fishing all the pools I saw (along with about 10 other likeminded people I might add) with no luck whatsoever. Then decided to follow a tip from a 3 year old thread to Shok'Thokar in Desolace and voila, 5 Waterlogged Wreckage already spawned when I showed up there without a person in sight. I would highly recommend going here first if you can as it seems like the best place to get them at the moment.

Schooner Wreckage in Wetlands (50), Ashenvale (31), Hillsbrad Foothills (27), Stonetalon Mountains (6) and Arathi Highlands (5).
Floating Wreckage in Eastern Plaguelands (26), Swamp of Sorrows (25), Tanaris (19), Blasted Lands (15) and Thousand Needles (7).
Bloodsail Wreckage in The Cape of Stranglethorn (33) and Northern Stranglethorn (29).
Waterlogged Wreckage in Western Plaguelands (27), Desolace (19), Dustwallow Marsh (13) and Feralas (12).

The wreckage does not exist until a player with the quest has fished at least one school of fish in the area, which causes another school to spawn. Often several schools must be fished until they despawn, in order for the random number generator to spawn a school of fish with the sought-after wreckage. You cannot, therefore, simply fly around looking for the wreckage without fishing.
At least one of the locations mentioned in the comments, dock at Surwich in Blasted Lands, has no schools of fish and so cannot spawn any wreckage. After flying around a bit, I found a school in the river at 43.42, 82.67 so I could begin fishing.

Schooner Wreckage - Hillsbrad Foothills at 58, 85
Waterlogged Wreckage - Western Plaguelands 62, 82
Floating Wreckage - Eastern Plaguelands 46, 41 (I actually had 2 next to each other)
Steam Pump Flotsam - Zangarmarsh at 72, 67

I recommend getting "饱经风霜的日记" first before attempting this achievement as it is a lot easier to find pools on your minimap, also Server hopping does work for finding wreckage.

Waterlogged Wreckage is found in southern Desolace in the lakes (for some reason). Fished a few pools and it spawned for me.

Here is the tl;dr

Bloodsail Wreckage - North STV along the coast
Schooner Wreckage - Menathil and maybe Arathi Highlands

Working on this during Shadowlands, so far this has been the most frustrating part of getting the "Salty" title (I tore up my ankle so yes that is where I am at right now).

Starting in North STV, just cruise the coast fishing any pools you find. Even the fish pools will drop Iron Bound Trunks which have a very high % to drop the book you need to get the Track Fish skill (also needed for the Salty title meta achievement). Keep working up and down the coast north of Grom'gol until you get a Bloodsail wreckage spawn (they may spawn in the main river as well but I didn't fine one there). This one I found relatively quickly.

Next I moved north to try to find a Schooner Wreckage in Wetlands, I had read from others you can find these around the Menathil docks and surrounding watery area. There are a ton of pools that spawn here, just work around fishing them out. Mine eventually popped around the bridge to Menathil, not the docks. This one took maybe 15 mins.

From here it got a lot harder, looking at older comments and trying to figure out where to go for Waterlogged Wreckage and Floating Wreckage. I went North again trying Arathi Highlands, did a lap fishing up all the spawns I could find and didn't get the Waterlogged that was supposed to be there (I did find a Schooner on the southern coast by Faldir's Cove however). I also tried talking to NPC by the south entrance to switch it over to 'classic' Arathi, did another lap fishing, and still found nothing (I did get the Explore achievement, easy to do for each of these zones you visit if you are so inclined).

Strike out in Arathi, TP and head to Azshara. There really are no fishing spots in the North half of the zone that I could find, but the inner cover and the south coast have them. Here as well I didn't find any wreckage after a couple laps (at getting the Explore!) so I hopped a flight over to Desolace since a couple of people claimed they found it there. I did indeed find the Waterlogged in Desolace (and of course picked up the Explore achieve). I found the wreckage here in the water around Shok'Thokar. You know we grabbed the Explore achieve as well.

Lastly, before heading to Outlands, we have to find the Floating Wreckage. Luckily, Feralas is supposed to have these, so I took a quick jaunt south of Desolace and found the highest density of fishing pools I have seen so far. I ran around to get the Explore achieve, fishing what I could, then bounced around the high density area east of Camp Ataya and the coast around Feathermoon Stronghold. I didn't get a Floating here, but fished a ton and did find an unneeded Waterlogged...

No luck in Feralas, so I flew over to Tanaris and cruised the coast on the east and found a Floating fairly quickly on my first run down from Gadget.

Last one up, we head to Outlands (after figuring out how you get to Outlands these days... there is a second level to the portal room in Org that sends you there) and start exploring Zangarmarsh for the Steam Pump Flotsam. I fished maybe 4-5 pools before one popped up for me in The Lagoon... before I had even finished exploring a third of the zone!

Total time was a 3-4 hours, mostly hindered by exploring zones and wasting time in some places that didn't yield the spawn I needed. The older information posted here could be correct, perhaps it just didn't spawn for me there.

Found Schooner Wreckage today at the end of the dock in Menethil Harbor none of the other mentioned places had it for me so figured Id post an updated location

Before you start fishing, do a lap around the zone. I just finished this achievement - it took me exactly 30 minutes (most of it was travel time) and a total of 5 fishing casts. I was lucky to find every single wreckage up, I play with WM ON.

Also a friendly reminder. You need to fish exactly one time from each wreckage to get the achievement. You might consider leaving the rest for other players.

Doing this today the only thing I'd advise is that for Floating Wreckage use Tanaris, I had 2 spawns of Waterlogged Wreckage at Wetlands, fished both. Nothing respawned for ages. Flew to Tanaris coast and flew up the coast and little and got it immediately.
