It was a blast watching all these people coming together to do the impossible, I have nothing but respect for these guys! GG!
now do it on horde
What's different this time around?
If they die their toon is dead forever. Mechanics were added to the bosses, world buffs don't work in raids. Season of mastery included a lot more but those are prolly the biggest.
The bosses are harder and none died from level 1 to 60, dungeons, raids or until rag for 2 of them.
That was such an amazing community event! Lots of build up to it and went great. Wish we could do more stuff like this, it's exactly what we need.
Should be pretty important to point out that not all of the raiders got the Rag buff because they didn't have the Soul of Iron buff. Their Characters had been killed but were still allowed to participate anyway.
Indeed, the fact not every raider had the Soul of Iron buff (i.e. they had been killed before at some point) makes the World First HC kill unachieved still.
congratulations to all the raiders. they said it was impossible... also apparently the buff has an special animation.for the people out of the loop that see some people raging in envy, one player was killed for a horde rogue while afk (in a pve server, kitting mobs), so his dead was appealed and dismissed. that player didn't die again and participated in most of the fights, but finally don't get the special buffthat player is Jokerd, the world first level 60 Classic WoW.now you get why so many comments malding.
They said afterwards that 36/40 had the buff. Knowing they were going for the Rag kill I don't know why they didn't just replace the 4 players with players that had the buff. No offense but Joker was almost at the bottom of the charts for DPS so it's not like they would have missed him. The raid leader did a fantastic job though.
it was pretty boring to watch and see all the swaps for content that takes less than a hour to do lol massive kekw
So 3+ months of prep, countless mules/farmers farming materials (not in the challenge), so many consumables used, so much effort, and they take 4+ players who had their characters die and not have the iron buff? Why? This will completely invalidate their claim to first hardcore clear in the community. It's a huge feat to pull this off, I cant understand why they'd compromise the legitimacy of their own claim by having a few people that didn't death = delete. I've herd the claims of griefing etc, but what's the point of saying you are "hardcore" until it's too inconvenient and you just say, eh, nevermind its fine. All this initial hype for really a wimper across the finish line months later. Suppose those who participated probably had fun at least and a few streamers got some bumps in viewership, but this all will be fleeting as well.
