not that great look at your other AP options.

eye of hakkar - 40AP/1%crit
medallion of the dawn - 24AP/12stam/1%crit
choker of the shifting sands - 42AP/16 stam

imo not that great considering that its most probably a naxx loot.

Now when talking about future expansion loot. You need to consider..by the time you get to level 70, which very well can take the time frame if not more from 1-60, this item will be absolutely absolete. In fact, it will be judged the same as a good 70 blue. So you must put into perspective its value and use at this current point in time. 2% crit, 28 AP, and stam buff is an excellent neck for rogues, hunts, and warriors and will remain so for the first couple of months in the expansion. At 70 raids, its likely tier sets will be legendary. An epic will start looking a bit more blue.

ap+crit, is way better than agi, sine it takes 52 agi to get 1 % crt.
1 agi = 2 AP /RAP.

so, prestors is 0.66% crt and 60 ap/rap

this is waaay better, + crt = + Dps.

this isnt a hunteritem, its a dps item tho, so no one misunderstands. dkp pervails.

is that over half the people posting in here, might have been to naxx, and even killed 2 bosses that are easy mode....but they havent/will never see the kel event until TBC...have fun, make more random post, go back to mc plz kthx

This vs Barbed Choker for Rogues/Warriors/Druids:
1% crit vs 18 ap and 2 stamina

This vs Prestor's Talisman of Connivery for a MM Hunter:
~1.5% crit and 12 stamina, vs 34 ap and 1% hit

This vs Prestor's Talisman of Connivery for a LR Hunter:
~1.35% crit and 12 stamina, vs 43 ap and 1% hit

I dont see any big upgrades :S

If you put this neck into a spreadsheet with Prestor's Talisman of Connivery for combat daggers, Prestor's still is higher DPS. Warrior loot imo.

For a hunter with around 1400 unbuffed RAP this necklace offers about 106 RAP (1% crit amounts to about 40 RAP at that level of RAP)while Prestor's has about 80, so it is an upgrade. With the hunter revamp coming, this necklace will be even better since 1 agi= 1 RAP instead of the current 2.

Not a big upgrade over Barbed Choker and Prestor's for Hunters/Rogues but still a bit better.

Ok.

And now compare the effort to kill Kel'Thuzad compared to Nefarian or Fankriss. No comparison at all. That's the point, it SHOULD have been better, considering its item level and the challenge to actually meet the final boss in Naxx.
