By the entrance of the cave there is a picnic bench with this scroll on it. Careful if you are not a higher level, basilisks can easily kill you

Don't try to go from the mountains follow the MAIN ROAD and there is a path that leads to the area with lots of basiliks and the Cave. Its just outside the cave.

The entrance to the path is at 37.1, 48.9, just outside the northern gate to the Arena. Go down the path and stay to the left when you reach the clearing, you will see the cave.

There are Thrashtail Basilisk outside the cave, and Ironjaw Basilisk inside the cave. The Research Notes are just outside the cave, but keep an eye out for the basilisks. I had multiple Level 44 Ironjaw Basilisk instant respawn at the mouth of the cave and aggro to me.
