Hunters Can Tame Wyverns - Season of Discovery

New surprises are discovered every day in Season of Discovery, and one Hunter Rune in particular did more than just unlock a new Spell - it unlocked the ability for Hunters to tame their own Wyvern.
The

in the Stonetalon Mountains can now be tamed!
How to Tame Your Wyvern
First thing's first: How do you unlock the ability to tame a Wyvern?
It's all connected to the
Rune d’Ordre de tuer
, which has a quest chain that rewards the a
Baguette d’apprivoisement de wyverne
. Here's a step by step guide to the entire quest chain:
Head to
Les Serres-Rocheuses (Stonetalon Mts)
and find
Jixo Fusetaré
, located at 59.20, 62.41. He will give you the
Domptage de wyverne sauvage
quest.
To complete the quest you will need to retrieve two items, a
Cristal hypnotique
and a
Baguette noueuse de magie sauvage
.
The
Cristal hypnotique
drops from
Mutanus le Dévoreur
, the last boss in the Wailing Caverns Dungeon.
Baguette noueuse de magie sauvage
is created by combining a
Baguette magique supérieure
and a
Essence de magie sauvage
, which drops from Furbolgs in Ashenvale (
Totémique Vile-sylve
for example).
With these two items in hand, you can turn in the quest. You will receive a follow up quest,
Dresser une wyverne sauvage
.
All you have to do is follow
Jixo Fusetaré
, and watch him tame a Wyvern.
Upon turn in you will get
Rune d’Ordre de tuer
.
You will also earn the
Baguette d’apprivoisement de wyverne
, which allows you to tame a
Jeune Aile-fière
- your very own Wyvern!
Now all you have to do is find your
Jeune Aile-fière
of choice in the Windshear Crag in the
Les Serres-Rocheuses (Stonetalon Mts)
and tame it.
How Good Are Wyverns as Pets?
While the Wyverns certainly have a very unique and iconic look, the question remains: Are they any good though?
As far as pet classifications, they count as Wind Serpents. They eat Bread, Cheese and Fish, and have no Natural Abilities.
They can however learn
Morsure
, and as they are classified as Wind Serpents they can also learn
Souffle de foudre
!
Unless more is discovered about this Pet, it is unlikely that it will be one of the top choices out there for Hunters. But it is a very cool and unique Pet, and a joy to unlock!
