I have no idea what Curse is telling you to do, but this is what should work for you:
1. Download the latest updated version of Cartographer from
here. The most recent stable build is always named
Cartographer.zip and is located at the bottom of the file list.
2. Download the latest version of
Ace2. The most recent stable build is always named
Ace2.zip and is located at the bottom of the file list.
3. Unzip both files and place all directories in your \World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\ folder. It should look something
like this.
4. Log in and check for an 'AddOns' button at the bottom left of your screen, make sure you have the addons checked to load for your character.
There are additional addons you can download and install to further supplement Cartographer's function with features such as quest NPC tracking and tradeskill node mapping and pathing. I recommend checking
WoWAce for any future updates to these addons.
