The "magic" that this dispels is any buff or debuff that has the word "magic" to the right of the (de)buff name. Also, magic debuffs are colored blue.

I've found it helpful since the removal of decursive to create the following macros:

/cast Dispel Magic
and
/cast Dispel Magic

the first one dispels you without requiring that you change targets, which really makes a difference in pvp when every second matters.
the second one casts dispel on whatever your mouse is currently hovered over. This one works both offensively and defensively, and again, is a huge time saver when it matters.
Both of these cast the highest rank of dispel that you have, so if you only have rank 1, these should still work.

Crucial PVP spell. Always use this to remove helpfull buffs from enemy players when they enter range. It's a great way to level the playing field before a fight

this spell is good in WSG to get rid of a shammy's ghost wolf movement form. im not sure if it works against druids, if anyone finds out, please tell me.

I like mana burn quite a bit against magic classes, especially when paired with dispel/silence/burn. Does anyone know if dispel can remove effects of iced slow magic attacks from frost mages?

I'm playing a (currently) level 17 UD priest, and someone just asked me to get rid of their rez sickness. Is that even possible? Was it this spell he thought would do it? *scratches head*

I have tried to use this cast more times than I can count and still cant get it to work :( either always says: Nothing to Dispel or Invalid Target.

one person told me if i cast it on an enemy it will remove one of their buffs.
I thought its purpose was, for example, if I get charmed, feared, etc.. if i cast this on myself it will remove the harmful cast on me.... but ive tried that too and still doesnt work.

PLEASE help me with this.
