A lot of people find this skill useless or stupid... I just found a perfect way to use it though. As a priest I get in and out of aggro all the time, so I will cast Light well before a major battle, and if I get hurt, instead of wasting my time casting on myself, or wasting a healing potion I just click on my lightwell and heal myself. The only thing is let your group know that it is meant for you or maybe a caster that isnt holding aggro at that time (a memeber in the group who dosent know what it is can ruin everything)!!!

To make it short... It is perfect for those times when you have a cruddy tank... or you just pull aggro at a bad time!

With little to no PvP use and situational PvE use, this spell is lackluster overall, but in the rare case that it can be used correctly, this is about as mana efficient as you can get.

We want to laugh, but we're crying on the inside. Lightwell is a terrible endgame, final tier spell. Waste of a talent point. Go put another point in mental agility.

Warlocks like this. It converts 400 mana into 10k mana. Life Tap doesn't break the buff.

This spell is great. Plop it down and the ranged attackers (like warlocks, hunters, etc) can click it and not take up healers mana.

Yeah, there are better ways to spend your point, but why? Why?

The main problem with this is that the healing is interrupted. Otherwise, it'd be insane.

For BG's it could be useful.

PvE . . . well, if you managed to fear all or most of the enemies, it could be useful. Otherwise, wasted mana and effort, and a wasted talent point.

If you use bandage you get the recently bandaged effect.

Lightwell can be used again if you get hit.

This talent is very usefull in long bossfights where healers must concentrate healing on certain classes.

Its easy for a rogue to run out of battle, click on lightwell and then run back to the mob.
Warlocks if empty of mana, can run to lightwell click on it and start "life tap".

8000 HP healed for only 360+/- mana That is a REALLY effective heal.

However people must remember to only click once, and try not to get hit after the Lightwell HOT is obtained. used ranged attack for example.

Its crazy not to use one point at this talent.

The undenyable fact is that this spell is the most mana efficient Healing spell in the game, getting more than 21 points of healing per Mana spent

As a disc/holy priest is it better to go for Divine Spirit or Lightwell?

this may sound a little noobish, but im trying to set up a talent tree before putting points in wrong things and wasting money to reset this.

its totally subjective honestly... both sides being Lightwell and Prayer of Spr have equal points the way i see it. Personally i will go with Lightwell JUST BECUZ you MORE THAN LIKELY will have other priest to give you the buff so that point to you is wasted. I really wanna know if you can move while being healed with it though

This spell has more disadvantages than any advantages. 10 minute cooldown, 5 charges, and only 1600 health. It doesn't scale with gear and all it does is make people point at you and laugh at how stupid you were for getting it. One priest in my guild specced lightwell and people didn't stop making fun of him until he retalented out of it.

I'm a warlock and I love these things. If a ranged dps is caught in an aoe or something, click on this and you're sorted, bandaging you have to stay still for. Its especially helpful to me because of lifetap

Everybody just wastes it like retards. I doubt even 1% of my lightwells went to any use. I specced out of it after a few days and am never going back.

This really isn't good. It's 10 minuet cool down makes it suck hardcore. Everyone one else can bite the bullet and bandage themself. I'll save myself the mana and not cast this... or spend talent points for it.

If you must know, that spell is AWESOME in raids... you only need like 2-3 priests with Divine Spirit while the others can create this lovely thing to help those that might not get as much healing attention as others... Try killing Loatheb without this.

This spell is not influenced by +Healing or talents (including Spiritual Healing).
The Lvl 60 Version heals 1600 Points – always. (Well, I did not test Mortal Strike and similar effects yet.)

The effect itself is a buff, that is cancelled by taking actual damage.
So the buff is not cancelled by being hit by spells which don't deal any direct damage, like fear for example.
DoTs (or to be more precise: the Damage of DoTs) break the effekt.

You cannot get the buff, if you are not in the priest's party.

this talent is so-so, ive had it since our review

however most of the tym it gets spam clicked and wasted. consider making a macro with instructions.

1600 over 10secs is very nice (x5 too) for the mana spent and alternative when recently bandaged debuff is up.

i find it particularly useful after sons at rag, ony, phase 2 of razor even.

i dont get divine spirit simply bc other priests already have it and it saves me sacred candles =D. level 70 cap will change everything tho.

is that it isn't worth 31 points. neither is SoR worth 21 in it's present form. it's more like a bandage replacer.

a very easy way to patch it up would be to have it add a debuff much like bangades (like recently lolwelled) so it doesn't get wasted and remove the cooldown.

For this spell, mana efficiency is irrelevant, since it is almost always cast before battles, especially boss fights. After casting it, you can sit and mana up before the fight. It's 5 free heals if people use it correctly. Basically, it's like a crippled first aid, but with no usage cooldown like 1st aid. It's nice that Bliz made this a place-able object with an enormous range, and also decreased the cooldown to 6 min.
Of course the downside, that pretty much everyone who has ever used this spell knows, is obvious. No matter how much you try, and how disciplined your raiding guild is, there's always 1 or 2 jackasses that waste it, making it an utterly useless talent. If you take this talent, thinking that you can convince your group to use it correctly, you will repeatly be disappointed.
